Ann & Tony’s is by far hands-down the best Italian restaurant in the state of Ohio the food is always amazing the staff and owners are amazing and fact I worked for them for 10 years when I was younger about 20 years ago and they always treated me like family and still do it’s not just about the food it’s the love of the staff and the family that owns the business wonderful people wonderful food

People! This is not Italian food! It is garbage! I had such high hopes for this place. It’s absolutely terrible. See, here’s the thing. Central Ohioans have no idea what good Italian food is(a dog doesn’t know it’s eating dog food until you give it filet mignon), but I have a suggestion! Rent a whole bunch of busses and get your butts to New York City or Philadelphia for some good American Italian food. Then you’ll see how bad this place is.

Had an amazing meal here with stellar service! If you go, ask for Shannon… she took GREAT care of us! We had the delicious house salad and scallops with fried eggplant and red potatoes. Everything was amazing! Order the lemon cake for dessert… Shannon recommended it and it was delish! Light and airy! Definitely a fan.

Tried this place twice and am very impressed with the place. Even though busy and they aren’t open everyday we had a good experience. I am not a fan of overly sweet red sauce and they nailed it. I had the prime rib the first time which was huge! along with breadsticks and the red sause. We tried a pasta combination the second time which was just as good. Their pasta is the main draw and I can see why. We have added it to our list of favorites

The prices are up there. average dinner was $ 17 or more. I got the fish and chips. The breading just fell of the fish which was soggy with oil. The wife got chicken parm and it was very… very dry. I always Unilocal places before going, and this place got decent reviews. I’m not sure why based on our experience. It’s the common theme we are seeing everywhere, high prices for subpar food. Owners need to seriously re-evaluate some things. Some fresh dishes instead of frozen then fried stuff would be nice. Or maybe make the cooks carry a thermometer so they chicken doesn’t absorb all the moisture in your mouth when you take a bite because it’s so dry. I don’t ever need to go back here.

I love this place, great food, good wine & wonderful service. The garlic butter for the rolls is amazing! Always packed on the weekend, you must make reservations but may still have to wait. The bar is small but nice, you can order and eat there if u wish !

I’d not been to Ann and Tony’s since my wife’s Uncle Jim Karnes took us there years ago. I only remember that all of the food we ordered at that time was delicious. But, as I walked in now with my wife and friends, between the wonderful, aromatic smells coming from the kitchen and my mind trying to connect with whether I’d just returned to the Mediterranean Old Food World of a Sicilian restaurant instead of a little Italian restaurant off W. Broad St. in the small town of West Jefferson. I was excitedly confused and my taste buds were on full alert for what awaited them. Physically, as I stepped through the doors of Ann and Tony’s, it appeared as if I had walked into a Christmas wonderland, like those found at Frankenmuth MI., complete with a myriad of shining white bulbs throughout the restaurant and several small lighted Christmas Trees, providing a whimsical, fantastical aura. Such was the world-ambiance of Ann and Tony’s in West Jefferson, OH. Arriving on time for our 7:00 pm reservation, we were very quickly seated in a very busy restaurant. Our drink orders were taken and our waitress returned and I was allowed a little extra time(which I needed) to select my entrée. The entire table decided to pass on appetizers and get straight to the main dishes. I ordered a Large Italian Number 1 that included Chicken parmesean, lasagna, and spaghetti for a reasonable $ 17.99. Each of the portions were enormous and I knew as soon as Amanda, our server set my food in front of me, I was going to be taking food home. But, my Chicken Parm had a light, crisp, crusty breading with a slightly sweet marinara sauce and a hint of basil. While outside had the cheesy goodness of the parmesan and mozzarella. I would have been satisfied with just this part of the meal. But then, the lasagna allowed me to experience the wonderful aromas and depth of flavors of Old World Italian cooking. I prefer a cheesy, nicely seasoned tomato sauce rather than belchamal(that I’ve seen from time-to time) and even though I love garlic in Italian cooking, neither the sauce or herbs overpowered the wonderful overall taste of the lasagna. On to the spaghetti which was cooked to the perfect al dente texture with two added meatballs, also cooked thoroughly and seasoned well. After our meal, a very animated, lively man, who introduced himself as the chef and owner, Tom Buscemi came out to talk to our table and discuss the wonderful meal we’d eaten. I was so full that I’ll have to come back another time for the delicious desserts that I could only drool over on my way to the cash register. Could all those yummy-looking desserts, so close to the cash register be part of some«carry out» plan? Nahh! As I left the restaurant, friends suggested that I look at the rear of the restaurant, away from the street. To my surprise, I saw a small area with a table and chairs, lighted trees; a perfect place to wait for your reserved time or to share a bottle of wine. All in all, I eagerly am looking for reasons to go back as I thoroughly enjoyed this dining experience.

We had an excellent server who was very enthusiastic. The sauce is wonderful and we even ordered a container to go. Portions are very generous and prices are reasonable for what you get. It is a family run business and has a nostalgic feel. It is a hidden gem just a few miles off I 70 in W Jefferson. Entrees come with a crisp fresh salad which was a nice blend of lettuce. My husband had the chicken parm and I had the Sunday special which was fried perch. The perch was lightly breaded and fried, and in addition to the salad, came with a vegie and potato. Wasn’t sure about ordering fish in an Italian restaurant, but I was glad I did. Hubby enjoyed his chicken which came with a generous portion of spaghetti. Will definitely be back.

I have been here for lunch twice. The food is old school and very good. A family run place with lots of locals and older folks as customers. I would have rated higher, but the service is pretty poor– slow and not friendly. The food is really good– the fried vegetable platter is indulgent and not to be missed.

I give this place five stars for being in such a small town as well as the food tasting great. The décor is kind of simple looks a little more country-ish than Italian but it still looks nice and the place looked really clean. I ordered the penne pasta with spaghetti sauce and mushrooms, sauce was very rich and hearty very tasty. My husband had no complaints about his lasagna it was a very big helping and he managed to eat most of it. I should have ordered the smaller portion of penne pasta, because what I did receive was enough to feed at least three people Lol. The service was good for there being a large group of people in there and it being busy, we received our food in a timely manner. We were too full to order dessert… I really like this place and hopefully we can come back soon as the prices are fairly decent and with our meals combined ended up being less than $ 40 which is cheaper than Olive Garden and the food tasted way better.

We were in west Jefferson checking out antique stores, and there aren’t many choices for lunch. After reading the reviews we decided to try out Ann & Tony’s. First impression, the lobby is a gift store of sorts– kind of weird, since it’s not a Cracker Barrel! A sign said seat yourself, we did– there were probably 5 tables of older couples dining, so not particularly busy– however, it took our waitress 15 minutes to acknowledge our table of two and bring menus. She was not friendly, seemed like maybe she didn’t want to be there? Ok… The lunch menu is a one sided printout of mostly Italian fare– I had had the special, which was tuna casserole and my sister had the fish sandwich. My side salad arrive warm and wilted– kind of gross. But our food overall was delicious. So, in conclusion– the food was homemade and tasty but the dining experience was marginal.

Wow! This hidden gem is worth the short drive from Columbus. Authentic Italian food that is amazing. My wife and I have heard great things about this place, so we decided to try it out. It’s kinda in a middle of nowhere, in West Jefferson. Inside, it is nice, with a small bar and even a little gift shop. The décor, although dated, feels warm and inviting. Not a lot of windows. Kind of like feels like having dinner at Grandma’s house! A lot of older people seem to eat here. But we didn’t feel out of place at all. The service was good and the food even better. The chicken Parmesan was great, with amazing sauce that had great flavor. My wife had the lasagna/chicken Parmesan combo, and she loved it. A salad, rolls and this great garlic butter is included with the meal. We also had the garlic bread with cheese… and it was amazing. They also have steaks and seafood, but we just wanted true Italian. Strangely, the menu says that desserts and sandwiches are also available, but you have to ask for them. Kind of odd. Overall, a great meal and a welcome change from the typical chain restaurants. Highly recommend and worth the short drive.

Went to Ann and Tony’s last night for a family dinner. There was six of us in the group, age ranging from 30 to 80. Everyone got something different and the table was quiet after the food was served, which says a lot for my family! We all got something different, Ocean Perch, Sea Bass, spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna and chicken parmesan. It all looked good. I got the chicken Parmesan and highly recommend this dish. Chicken is tender and crispy and the sauce is sweet and tangy.

A mom & pop kinda place. I ordered the small order of crab cakes for $ 15.99. For that price, I received a very basic dinner salad with their house italian(like Olive Garden), one very small lump of crab cake, and green beans & corn out of a can. Also got dinner roll that was actually warm and very good. The crab cake was ok, but not very warm. Actually had some cold spots in it. My husband ordered one of the convos with lasagna, chicken parm, & one other item. It was a lot of food for $ 13.99. He was not a fan of the lasagna. Said the sauce was weird. He liked the chicken parm, but said it was cold by the time he go to it. So yeah… overall, an expensive disappointment.

We found this«gem» last week. There aren’t too many places to eat in West Jeff. We’ve been driving past it for over a month. Turns out this was our«loss». Very clean inside and out. Family-run with Italian-American menu. The food is good. Spaghetti sauce like my Italian Aunt used to make(sweet & a little tangy). Yum! Meatball was excellent. The chef salad was very good(per my Wife). This will be our«go to» place in the future Lunch prices are $ 8 to $ 12. Server was polite and attentive w/I being«clingy»

I have eaten here twice. Both times while visiting a relative. He’s in his 80s and this is his«special» place. I was honored he brought me here. The first time I had the fish and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked. This time I had the scallops and they were expertly fried with a very light coating and the sides were plentiful. The salads were great and the bread was amazing. The service was very nice. I see why the local dine here. We were a party of 8 and everyone enjoyed their food. The pasta portions were so big everyone took some home. This is no Olive Garden. It’s a place where people come to be treated special.

We were standing outside Ann & Tony’s after celebrating my grandma’s 90th birthday dinner Sunday afternoon. There were 14 of us and we all were commenting on what a wonderful time we had at this restaurant. We were all very impressed with these folks and the great service we got here. Everyone ordered something different from lasagna, to prime rib, spaghetti and meatballs, sampler platters and crab cakes. All of us enjoyed our dinners(unusual for us). Our dinners ranged from $ 14 to $ 20 so it was an excellent value for the quantity and quality of food we received. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Grilled Shrimp and it was quite good with a nice buttery sauce over pasta with plenty of shrimp on top. The sauces they use are homemade too, so extra points for that. The service we received from Angie was excellent. I give her kudos for being nice and polite while giving us that«just right» balance of friendly but not obtrusive service. As Bill S. said in his review, Ann & Tony’s is «Truly a find.» Anyone who enjoys Italian food, steaks and seafood will like this quaint little independent Italian restaurant just 10 minutes west of Columbus. The atmosphere is comfortable in a homey relaxed setting. I understand that it used to be a house years ago so there’s several different rooms, of which two of them have fireplaces which was cool to see. I guess this place puts me in mind of Villa Nova in Clintonville if that helps you get a visual. My grandma’s 90th birthday was important to the family and these folks came through for us with shining colors. I couldn’t find anything wrong with our experience so, 5 stars.

Truly a find. I had the sampler — chicken parm, lasagna, Fettuccine alfredo. All three were the best I’ve had. The boy had a meatball sub — it was awesome. The Bruschetta was delicious but different, it’s on a flat bread — but I liked it. Restaurant was clean and in good repair. Look was a little dated. When you walk in, they are selling candles and the smell is a little off-putting, but I got over it quickly. Server was friendly and attentive. Prices were more than fair. Greeter in the front did not smile or welcome us — she just said«you can seat yourselves». This costed Ann & Tony a star :) Your brand is comprised of what you do — and the first thing a restaurant should do is make you feel welcomed. Overall — a great visit and we’ll be back. If you’re within an hour, worth the drive. We drove 45 minutes to give them a try and I felt that it was well worth the drive.
