Been looking for a good barbershop for a long time, someone I can keep going back to cause of the hospitality and the work done. Finally found this place and have been getting a cut from them for over a year. The service is great and they take their time to make sure your haircut is how you want it. There’s no sense that they are rushing through you to get to the next person and I really appreciate that from them. I’ll keep going back there too for all my future cuts

Great Location. Awesome vibe. This place just opened a couple months ago and it should be recognized as one of the best barber shops.
Ask for CARMEN. Been cutting my hair for years and I can’t say enough good things about her. Much love. Any style you desire and she’ll take care of you. She’s simply the best.

Showed up mid day, some of the barbers were sleeping in their chairs. I asked who was up and they pointed to a guy passed out who quickly woke up and went to wash his face.
He proceeded to cut my hair but kept trying to palm my entire head and push my head down and hold his hand there. Taught it was really unprofessional and the guy wasn’t directly rude but didn’t seem like he gave a shit. Cut was ok but experience I was horrible — charged $ 30 for the cut.
Not going back– masters down the street for $ 20 more is a better deal.

So happy this place reopened. The barbers are great, the vibe is relaxed and unpretentious (hard to find in this part of L.A.), and most importantly, they do a damn good job. I’ve had my hair cut by 4 – 5 different barbers here (though I regularly go to Ernest), and they’ve all done a great job. Wait is never very long, though I would recommend calling ahead for sure. I’ve gotten a caesar, Mohawk, fade and never had a problem with them doing any of these cuts. Honestly, the best price/​quality you’ll find in Hollywood/​WeHo.

Three words is all you need: Carmen The Barber! I drive all the way from Palmdale just to get my cut by her. She’s patient with me and she always knows what I want. I’m very particular about my cut but I finally found her!

Mona Lisa always gives me THE best haircut. I have tried a lot of other barbershops in the Hollywood area and Trensetters is by far the best. Mona Lisa was also able to give me a same day appointment and the fade was top notch. I was even stopped on the street by a guy who asked me where I got my haircut. That has only happened after getting a fade at Trensetters with Mona Lisa. I highly recommend this shop.

Trendsetters is great. It is super convenient but I would honestly travel a distance to go there. The shop is pretty much entirely redone and updated. Everything is brand new and looks amazing in there, it is always well maintained and clean.
My barber, Mona Lisa, is excellent at what she does. She is on time, listens to your requests and makes sure you leave with exactly the cut you intended and gets it done quickly. Being biracial it is hard to find someone who understands «mixed» hair, Mona Lisa does and I wouldn’t trust my hair with anyone else in Hollywood. Mona Lisa, is easy to schedule with and has always done her best to accommodate my busy schedule. She is also just a friendly, charismatic and easy to get along with person, along with Mike and everyone I have met in the shop.
I would definitely recommend Tendsetters to anyone looking for a new barber in the Weho/​Hollywood area.

This place kills it. Staff is on point, environment is bright, location is perfect with plenty of parking on top of Ralphs, tools are always sharp but lemme tell you why I really come here:
The best fade, shave & vibe come from Trendsetter super start Carmen Montana. Give this woman you’re head and you’ll never be the same. No kidding I met her on a whim when I popped up for a cut and it was the best risk of my life. Since I’ve seen her once every 3 weeks since we met. No barber comes close to this one. She knows whats up. Holla!

This may be the 3rd or 4th barber shop I’ve followed the awesome Carmen too, I’m from London and no one cuts hair like her, I will literally follow her no matter which store she works at, she’s always friendly and bursting with energy, I’ve shot a couple of tv commercials which she should take the credit for making me feel An look great, shout outs to you Carmen, stay dope girl!
