Man this is probably my favorite rooftop bar in LA. Too bad its only open to Petit Ermitage’s hotel guests. I guess that is also the appeal, its not crowded with random people. Kinda exclusive! Im probably the random vagabond that infects the exclusivity of that place when I walk in. So it basically has 5 areas. There’s a bar, a dining area, a lounge, a pool area and a fire deck area. Everything has its own appeal and can stand on its own. This whole hotel is sorta bohemian themed so the look follows. The bar area is nice cause you can chat with the super nice and accommodating staff immediately since most of them hang there. The events usually happen in the lounge area Saturdays DJ Aaron Byrd of KCRW spins super chill tunes and on sundays have different sorts of events, i once caught BeiRu do a super cool set with live horns and drums there. The pool area and the deck offers a stunning view of west hollywood and you feel an «LA» vibe immediately when you walk up to the steps. Whoever put it together did a terrific job. Anyway, let me tell you about the food. Everything is good. Im a vagabond so I have limited taste, That being said, the BURGER is really good. I don’t know if they still have it in the menu but order it! Order it with avocado and truffle fries and thank me later! I also had the steak which was cool and all and the turkish meatballs. But i think my favorite really is the burger! and the vibe! Hopefully I will be back for more!

One of my friends is a member there, and we visited after flying in from NC(flying is so tedious these days!) We had lunch at 3 – the grilled shrimp salad was really delicious – and then we headed up to the pool. I love the covered cabanas and I got a few drinks. The Eastside was delicious and not sweet. I also got an Indian Summer, and discovered that Mescal is NOT for me – too smoky. But it was a wonderful, quiet place to get away and just relax. However, about a hundred helicopters were flying overhead for about an hour, so that was a little distracting, but if not for that, it’s like a delightful little hideaway. Welcome to LA!

Nice atmosphere where portions are expensive but tiny. Ordered an omelette for $ 15 and got an omelette the size of a crêpe.(No exaggeration).

Gorgeous views of LA and yummy drinks. Moscow mule is one of the best I’ve had. Tried the Lamb special for dinner and it was pretty delicious. The chocolate cake bar with nuts is amazing. Also tried the plate of cookies, but had to send it back to request they be warmed up. Absolutely love the ambiance here at the Petit Ermitage. It really is what makes it so special.
