Architecturally, the coolest gallery in LA. Plus you can go and eat a cheeseburger at Mel’s across the street or get a burrito at poquito mas, so cool!

I’ve been here for a few shows including George Condo, Os Gemeos, and most recently, Mario Testino. The layout is pretty cool with a larger downstairs area and a smaller upstairs with an outdoor patio. There are more walls to place art downstairs, but upstairs, they use the patio area for the bar when they have show openings. The only problem with this layout is that when it does get crowded, trying to get upstairs is tough because it’s a smaller area, and having the one and only bathroom(which usually has a line during opening nights) up there only makes it worse. *On a side note, I was totally geeking out when I met Mario Testino and Alessandra Ambrosio at Mario’s opening night.

The exhibition«Free Roam above the Mist» by Jonathan Zawadais is centred around an expansive suite of oil paintings depicting digital renders of the Elbe Sandstone Mountainscapes. Along with these capacious, geometric landscapes, Zawada presents a series of sculptures that approaches virtuality from other angles and a video installation of an equivocal skyscape. The exhibit ends tomorrow at Prism in West Hollywood, California.

This is one of the bigger gallery spaces in the area, I’ve came here twice once for the Os Gemeos exhibit and for the Barry McGee. Other than these two shows, this gallery doesn’t usually show street art type of artists. Both of these shows were fuckin amazing but other than that there are a lot of downs. Two things that suck about this spot is parking, it’s on Sunset so it’s busy as shit and it’s hard to find parking. Bring some change because it’s meters all down the street. And… the staff here don’t give a shit about u. So don’t even bother to think you’ll be acknowledged ahaha Prism I hope you guys show more great work, all my stars go to those two awesome exhibits. the Os Gemeos one blew my fuckin mind…

I concur with Jess and Travis. Staff here are art snobs who do not acknowledge or greet you when you enter. But, whatever I came here to see the most recent Barry McGee exhibit and not make buddies with the staff. The show was awesome and it’s great that they bring in amazing artist. I missed the opening but happy I made it out to see the sow. It’s almost better to come post and opening because you can avoid the long lines and the massive crowd. It deems that in the world there are the pretentious snobs. Be it art, hairstylist or surgeons. Yes, they exist and they suck but it won’t stop me from enjoying what I dig. Just brush them off like they are dust!

They did a gorgeous job with the Os Gemeos exhibit, but I have to agree with Travis. The staff could be much more cordial. I wasn’t even greeted. Instead, I waved at them and said hi. They awkwardly smiled back. Free exhibition and the ability to take pictures is neat though. I’d love if they had a small shop that sold things, not just those magazines that were on the wall.(were those even for sale?) I would have bought the crap out of some Os Gemeos stuff.

Went to the«come as you are» show on Saturday. This show was high on my list of things to do in LA. The lineup was impressive. Barry McGee and the likes. The galley itself was very open and fresh. However, like so many other elitist art galleries the staff was rotten. I’m sure these people really sell themselves to the gallery owners on how much they love art and how passionate they about it. When it comes down to it they are always grumpy and useless. This interaction ruined my experience. 2 stars. Try being considerate to the public or don’t bother being public.
