Wines are good but staff is rude. Don’t matter if you’re with friends ordering expensive wines and the table is over 2k. They will still act like you’re dining on a coupon. Dined again last week with friends and got a hair in the soup. asked to change it. I won’t bother to dine there again. I’m done.

The best place I have ever been too! Everyone is so polite and classy. The cheese is a delight, with the bread and that was breath taking! The service was phenomenal. Finally once I are my dish I was sure I was in heaven. I loved everything, a very lovely evening and classy dinner. I always recommend this place. You will leave very satisfied. I’ve known the owner since I was a young girl and every bite brings back great memories. I can’t wait to go back everything is so fabulous.

Dinner was great. I was taken with plus one with no reservations on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was packed otherwise. Our waiter had an authentic Italian accent. The owner came out to greet us. My guest and i each tried specials. A) ossobucco B) Radnor Cileno AL Vino. They were exceptional. The best part hands down was the dessert: millefoglie and a cannoli that came with homemade pistachio ice cream to die for. I’m still in shock from how good it was.

Nice atmosphere, we were seated in the front dining area near the kitchen. Portion sizes are ridiculously small for the price, however the food was quite good. Wonderful service, as well.

One of the most consistently excellent restaurants in LA. The owners, management and staff are always welcoming, kind and attentive. The aesthetic is comfortable and relaxed considering the extremely high bar the food and service set. The menu is excellent, as is their wine list. Make sure to pay attention to their daily specials.

Decent food at an extraordinary price(veal parm for $ 54 and $ 25 for a glass of above ave. wine) We waited 45 minutes for a table with a rezoning. Just Ridiculous In short, this place isn’t worth it and, we are doubtful to ever return

Madeo is an all-around 5 star dining experience. The service, food, and atmosphere were incredible. We ordered a salad, truffle pasta($ 70), meatballs, spaghetti, and two desserts. Everything — including the amazing bread place on the table to begin — was absolutely wonderful. As dinners, you can dress up or down. Parking is valet($ 9). The service is old school.

Madeo was one of the finest truest classic Italian restaurants you can find in America. Service was 5 star. Food 5 star. Ambience 5 star. Actually all was 10 stars. We ate for hours. From the antipasto to the primo to the secondo And the contorno … Every bite was dream of italy and perfection. We had the owner come by several times and make sure we were extremely happy. The dolce & espresso were the perfect ending to the best classic italian outside italy. Brava

Cute old-school looking Italian restaurant. Very much a Weho scene, full of industry types with paparazzi lurking outside the door. Full of beautiful people dressed to the nines. Service and food were very good. Tried the burrata salad, my spaghetti with bolognese and my friend’s spaghetti with lobster sauce. Table bread was just ok — nothing interesting. Food is definitely pricy here but pasta was well cooked and the sauces were perfect. I really liked the desserts here — they do that old school thing where they bring you a tray of their desserts and you just point at whatever you want to eat. Our table went with the Italian cheesecake and… some other cake/pie thing I can’t fully recall. They were both delicious without being too sweet. This place is a bit too much of a scene for me to want to frequent but I liked the food and the experience overall.

If I can give 10 stars I definitely would!!! Most phenomenal Italian I’ve had at any restaurant in CALI. We first had drinks at our friends restaurant 208 Rodeo and we all headed here for dinner afterwards. My first time here and was blown away. I mean of course there’s your usual celebrities and I heard it’s very difficult to get a reservation? Luckily we went with owners of some Rodeo restaurants and our friend, the handsome devil who’s running for mayor of Beverly Hills, so we got the best table in the house with a perfect 360 view. I can’t even begin to tell you how every course in this restaurant was made to perfection with old school touch. The owner who’s this cute little Italian man walks around greeting everyone creates the ambiance of love and laughter throughout the restaurant. I LOOOOOOVE Oso Buccu and risotto and they killed it here. The risotto was so light and fluffy but yet had a firmness in the middle of every grain. Not overly flavored and such a perfect balance of sheer heaven. Oso Bucco couldn’t have been executed Amy better and I felt Iike I was eating dinner made for the Gods. I can’t say enough about this restaurant as every dish was a 10 from the pizza to Oso Bucco, carpaccio and more. If you’re in Cali this is the restaurant you MUST try! Way better than any Maestros! My new love while in BH.

Super authentic Italian restaurant, not trendy at all but very traditional classic atmosphere… Kind of a old vibe which i appreciate time to time. Had 4 – 5 different dishes and they were all great. Sorry dont remember any of the names but stop reading reviews and go check it out! You wont like madeo if you dont like super authentic italian food, its super authentic italian, no fusion. No twist. Just italian

If you’re Black, you can forget about customer service here. Hubby took me here last night for my birthday, and although I didn’t have the heart to complain to him, because he had gone through such lengths to plan last night to be absolutely special, I wish we had eaten somewhere else. We arrived and were seated in clear view of all server staff, right at a table in front of the dining room bar, nearest the kitchen entrance. However, after 15 minutes passed, we noticed two other(white) parties that arrived AFTER us, had been seated, had been served water, bread, and were being brought bottles of wine. We were only one table over from the table being served, however every server passed us by again and again, literally looking over our heads. I even made eye contact with servers that were literally just standing around, and a couple glanced down at our table, then looked away. It was clear that we had nothing on our table. Hubby started to flag someone down and I stopped him, I said they should come to us. And a few more minutes passed before he decided to tap someone to wait on us. I was furious, but decided to enjoy the night there as much as I could. However, throughout the dinner, we constantly had to ask for service, while others were practically doted upon. We spent nearly $ 200 last night to be discriminated against. However, it will never happen again. I will never in my life step foot inside, nor recommend, that place to anyone ever again.

Mediocre, overpriced, crowed, and severely overrated are just a few words I would use to describe when dining at Madeo’s. While some say Madeo’s is the best Italian food in LA, I have to disagree. The food is average at best and severely overpriced for mediocrity. While the owner, a cute little Italian man, is very friendly and sweet. It doesn’t make up for the ridiculous food at even more ridiculous prices. There are tons of Italian restaurants around LA that are far superior and cheaper than Madeo’s. Spaghetti Bolognese that is almost forty dollars? Just because it’s veal doesn’t mean you can charge that. And the amount of oil littering my plate was disgusting and very off putting. I don’t mind paying for good food, but when it’s so mediocre, it’s not worth it. Margherita Pizza was average, but was it worth almost thirty dollars? No. Again, I can think of 10 other Italian Restaurants that have better and more authentic pizza for half the price. And the edges of pizza? Burnt. I’ve been to Italy, I’ve had real Italian pizza, and not one of the pizzas I had in my two weeks in Italy were burnt, or close to thirty dollars in price. Just because you’re Beverly Hills adjacent doesn’t mean you need to charge the kind of prices they do. It really gets me that they’re charging the prices they are for seriously mediocre and average food. You are definitely being taken for a ride for their«authentic» Italian Cuisine. The space it’s self is basically in a basement, and if this was the days of The Godfather, maybe that would be exciting, but it’s crowed, cramped, dark, hot. They try and cram so many people into a small space where the sound bounces around and you can’t hear the person next to you. The acoustics are terrible, and it doesn’t help that they over crowd the restaurant with people. No matter what night you come, there are always paparazzi, so if you’re looking to find a B or D list celebrity, come here, you’re bound to find one lurking for attention. The plus side? The servers and staff are incredibly friendly, and sweet. Unfortunately their kindness doesn’t make up for the insane pricing. Don’t even get me started not the corkage fee. It’s a joke. At the end of the day, the only time I’m at Madeo’s is if it’s someone else choice(business dinner, birthday, ect.). I’d much rather go to Il Pastaio or Il Fornaio which has better food, is in the heart of Beverly Hills, and is a fraction of the price of this dark, over rated, and mediocre restaurant.

Unfortunately disappointed with my experience… I guess because I had really high expectations after hearing all about this place. However, one thing that did not disappoint was the service. Top notch. One of the best service I’ve experienced in LA. Anyways, Madeo has a old school vibe/feel, dim lights, white tablecloths, and overall setup. Thought it was more of an dress up attire place but was a lot more casual than I expected. We tried several dishes… Burrata Caprese — Burrata was good but the tomatoes were very hard. Just salted with some olive oil. Lacked flavor Veal Milanese — This was good… but not great. Veal Bolognese — Salty… The sauce/flavor was way too overpowering for all of us. Seafood Risotta — Probably the best dish we had. Very simple but everything was cooked perfectly, Burrata Pizza — Came out cold. Nothing more to say. Spaghetti Alla Bottarga — The sea bass eggs were realllllly fishy. I’m used to eating fish and fish eggs but these were way too much. Overall, nothing was terrible, but nothing was spectacular. I understand its Beverly Hills. I understand its a classic joint. However, at this price point, there are a lot more alternatives in LA. Same disappointment I had at Angelini Osteria but a lot more pricier.

I am not sure if my family is just having bad luck with restaurants this year but we found hair baked into the bread! Not once… twice! The second time, a waiter was talking to my aunt and she pulled out the second piece of hair. All the waitor said was… there is no one here with that length of hair refusing to take responsibility… no apologies… nothing. WTH??? I was expecting a much higher quality of service at a highly rated restaurant such as Madeo. The bread was really good but we were put in a hairy situation… we wanted to eat more bread but were afraid to due to the unknown of what we may find. I would have given this place 4 stars if not for this situtation. We started off with the burrata and tomatoes and the calamari in tomato sauce… the burrata was really good. I didn’t try the calamari but everyone else at the table seemed to enjoy it. The vongole was good but not any different than what I would get at another Italian restaurant. I got the lamb rack and it was mediocre. It was a tad bit dry and overcooked. For dessert, we got the tiramisu, pineapple, and one that looks like a napolean(i forget the name). On the display tray, the tiramisu is presented in a round bowl but when it arrived, it was just sliced. Everything was very light and not too sweet. I enjoyed their desserts. Parking — valet is 9 bucks and there are meters available but read the signs before parking! I honestly prefer Angelini osteria over Madeo. If I were to return, I hope the way they address customer issues is better. Telling the customer that something isn’t their fault is not the way to handle it.

If you want traditional delicious italian, this is the spot! It’s got an old school vibe but the crowd is pretty mixed. There are always older italian regulars which confirm that this place is good. Here are some of my favorites: uni pasta w/bottarga shaved on it, penne madeo, bolognese, linquini vongole, veal ravioli, lasagnette with mama’s beef and swiss chard sauce, octopus salad and the burrata. What I didn’t really care for was the gnocchi and the veal milanese. The sauce for the gnocchi was delicious but the gnocchi itself didn’t have any flavor. As for the veal, it was cooked well but I feel like their pastas are way better. I’ve gone with large groups both times and service is pretty on point. It’s also a cute spot to bring a date. Madeo is definitely a new favorite for me.

Definitely a special occasion place, entrees will run you from $ 30 for a basic pasta to $ 50 for steak/fish. Add an appetizer and a few glasses of wine. and don’t expect to leave here without spending at least $ 100 per person. We were among the younger people in the restaurant, which had an «old school» Beverly Hills vibe — dim lighting, tables close together, white tablecloths, the owner roaming around and checking on all the tables. I got the feeling that there were a lot of regulars. The servers treat everyone like family, regular or not. We had the Ravioli Ricotta E Spinaci(ravioli filled with ricotta cheese and spinach in a butter & sage sauce) as a starter to share, which was absolutely delicious. So light that it almost melts in your mouth. The serving size was perfect to split for a starter; I’m not sure it would be enough as an entrée. Given how delicious it was, I’d love to try some other pastas here. I opted for the Branzino Alla Griglia(a whole grilled imported seabass) — which they bring out to you whole, then take to the back and debone. The presentation of the whole fish is impressive to say the least, but the de-boning is much appreciated as well. It was a large fish which I suppose could justify the price tag. It was very good, almost as good as the best brazino’s that I’ve had, but not better or the best. When it comes to the food, Madeo is up there but not the best Italian restaurant in the area. I think that people come here for a different reason, though. They come for the service and charm — to feel like part of the family.
