AMAZING. Best part of Lola’s was my server, Sienna. The food was pretty good but she really blew me away. My friends and I went there for dinner and she never skipped a beat, always had a smile on her face, and was hands down the best server I’ve ever had.

It’s always been a-ok at Lola’s. Great martinis — terrible price. Great seating areas — terrible service. A sizeable martini menu — pricey food. A sizeable restaurant and lounge area — ONE bathroom with ONE stall for ladies(um, really?). If there’s a great thing about the place, there’s a terrible thing that comes right with it. So when I found out it’s closing its doors on September 9, last day on Sunday September 8, I wanted to make sure I go back for it’s last hurrah. Had my last apple martini, had my last GGNO(since we can’t just go with just gals, it became a girl’s and guy’s night out). Unfortunately, since it was closing, they were out of almost everything. And a tiny menu left and no more happy hour. Really!!! C’mon Lola’s was KNOWN for their $ 5 martini’s 24⁄7. Then someone got greedy and raised the prices significantly and shorten it’s happy hour from all day ev’ry day to 4pm to 7pm — 7 days a week. Then it only became weekdays. I can see why this place had to fold — they were on , Groupon, living social — which somewhat indicates that they’re trying to save the business. Still sad I missed out on their Bottomless brunches and will miss the tasty martinis. — A moment of silence for our fallen Lola’s —

Oh Lolas, such an iconic place in LA… but yeah, you can definitely tell this place is on its last legs. When I came here a few years ago, it was packed like no other. However, when my date and I came here after dinner to have our last martinis here this past Saturday, half the tables were empty. It’s still a great place for those who love their martinis, and still a good place to just hang with your date or your friends, but it’s definitely not the poppin and vibing place that it used to be. Heads up, catch them before they make their last calls on Sept 8. And note that their happy hours no longer apply!

Bottomless parties are the best way to spend a Sunday, in my opinion. This is one of my new favorite bottomless brunches. A few of us found a Groupon and jumped on it… 2 entrees and bottomless for 2, for $ 40. And so the inaugural meeting of the Brunch Club was born here, because we had such a great time. DRINKS — There are many different flavors of mimosas besides your classic OJ — pear, cucumber mint, strawberry, blueberry, pineapple, and several others. There is also a waitress whose only job it is to bring around pitchers of these delicious beverages, and re-fill everyone’s glasses long before they were empty. We wanted to try all of them, so when she came around, we would immediately finish the rainbow of drinks we had left. Terrible idea, I know. But the juice was all fresh and the drinks were fantastic. FOOD — We decided to order family style… 4 different dishes, we would eat ¼, and rotate for the next person to try. Pass it to the homie, now you hit it. We got to try the omelet, breakfast burger with egg, quiche, and steak and eggs. Although none of it was the BEST I’d ever had, we still liked everything we ordered. The egg dishes were a little boring, but the breakfast burger was terrific. Juicy and well-cooked, and topped with a fried egg. Probably my favorite of what we ordered. My ONLY complaint was that the patio could use a fan or more ventilation. Service was great, and we lingered well past 3. If you are valet-adverse like me, meters are free on Sundays. Can’t wait to go back!

I’ve been a fan of Lola’s from way back and there is a reason it still stands and thrives. They still have some great martinis, although I think they should branch out a bit more and offer more crafty ones and not so many sweet, expected ones. There was a drink they had on their menu that I couldn’t get because the bartender didn’t know how to make it, so that was a bummer and if it is on the menu, maybe every bartender should know how to make it and make it well? IMO. Food is actually quite tasty here and service and ambiance are A+.

Bought a Living Social deal that included bottomless Mimosas’s for $ 20 per person. Cute, trendy little place. Only one server working that day so service was a little slow, but I understood he was working hard. They had eight flavors of Mimosas And I had 11 all together and I believe strawberry one out in the end. I had a Kobe beef breakfast burger that was delish and very filling. I would definitely go back, but know that they’re very popular and you may have to wait for a seat.

Lena was a lovely waitress and her bubbly personality really got me excited to try their mimosa and bloody mary bar! Their extensive selections of bloody marys and mimosa were almost overwhelming but I thought it was such a smart idea to have all the different flavors to catch their audience’s attention! I tried every single mimosa flavored they had offered, from regular, cucumber mint. My favorite was Mango — very tangy and could barely taste the carbonation(a big plus) i also enjoyed ice tea, strawberry and blueberry, all delicious ! Unfortunately, I made the mistake of purchasing the Bloody Mary’s bar because the selection is not as much and it was $ 2 more for the bar! Though our waitress was very helpful and gave us great selections to start. My favorite was the first one she mentioned — the Buffalo anything after that was not as much of a kick and therefore not as delicious! Our entrees were delicious, beautifully plated and def exceeded my expectations! The reason why it is missing one star is because when we got our bill, the bill included tip and we only have a party of two and was confused as two why they incorporated it in the bill without allowing its patron to put the amount we wanted .so i thought that was odd! We didn’t complain because everything else was really good– our drinks were constantly filled to the brim and they were always apologetic if anything were forgotten.

OH Lola’s, home of the appletini… I’ve visited here many-a-times in the past… reveling in happy-hour galores, where you’re neck-deep in elbows and people hankering for something strong to quench their overworked-during-the-week thirst which essentially = stuffy & not ideal venue to chill. And yet, having tried out their menu for the 1st time this week ‘n visiting NOT on a Friday, must say I’m a total fan of Lola’s! Friendly service from server Lina, relaxing vibe playing amazing ‘80s jams, and surprisingly good food! * Seared scallops [w/grilled tomatoes, mango buerre blance, with chiffonade of romaine & spinach] = wish these were juicy diver scallops(ecologically-speaking) which woulda made this dish ah-mazing but the sauce and«chiffonade» salad still hit the spot. * Lola’s crab cake [w/house-made tartar sauce & slaw] = oh the slaw + crispy chunky crab cake equals mouthful of happiness. WOA: * Order yourself a martini from their extensive menu * Valet parking $ 5 or lotsa street metered parking(free after 8pm) Solid 4. Too bad this joint got other low ratings~

I really wanted to love this place! I really did. The menu has many options, and I greatly appreciate that. However, the bartender in the back — V — is not the best bartender in the world. I even hate that I tipped him for two drinks when he was such a damn jerk. Again, I really want to love this place because I love martinis and I love the fact that I finally got to come to this place, but maybe consider offering«V» another position… Or something… because his attitude is not fitting for many.

Had the Living Social deal for«Weekend Bottomless Bloody Mary Bar and Brunch for Two People Including Two Entrees of Your Choice»… So let’s be clear… Lola’s at brunch is ALL about the booze… they have either endless Bloody Marys or Mimosas in a variety of flavors and EVERYONE is drinking. The place was packed on the Saturday morning we went… several large groups who were obviously enjoying the free flowing goodness. I had the burger. It was huge. My dining companion had the steak and eggs. He said it was good. But honestly, there are like 5 different kinds of Bloodys to try… My burger was OK — messy but good. But no matter what the food is like(and the menu looked pretty interesting), the pitchers making the rounds in the dining room will be your focus. Trust me on this. It’s not the best Bloody in town(still think that goes to Luna Park), but it’s plentiful.

Good food, good atmosphere, great martinis. I like to find places that have character in the Hollywood/West Hollywood area. There are a lot of them, but it is hard to weed through which would be hang out spots and which would be just one off visits. I think Lolas has a nice lounge and bar area for just hanging out. It is a spot recommended by friends who go there after work. We went and tried the calamari and other dinner dishes such as the pork chop and polenta or the swordfish and roasted fingerling potatoes. A huge creative martini collection adds to boot. You may even see a celebrity. We saw two. DT

First visit was mandatory as the Groupon I purchased was expiring. This was back in 2011 and I remember the food was sub par, I definitely wouldn’t come here expecting an incredible meal. But the drinks, especially the martinis is what gets me excited! The BF and I had a whirlwind of a time ordering a total of 5 martinis that first visit. We were almost a hot mess but remembered to hydrate frequently and take a few bites of the okay food. We returned recently(with BF’s brother in tow) to stop by for a quick drink as we had dinner reservations elsewhere. We sat at the bar and ordered 3 martinis: Janis Joplin, Caramel Apple Martini and my personal fave: Key Lime Martini. My tini was just the way I remembered it to be: PERFECT. The graham cracker crust was delicious as was the creamy tart liquid that quickly gave me the«warm fuzzies». The BF’s caramel apple tini came with two thinly sliced apples that he didn’t want to eat, you best believe I swooped in on it! While we sat enjoying our drinks I looked over the menu. I noticed there was one drink called something along the lines of The Legend of Len Fu — I asked Leonard, the bartender, about it and he said it was named after him. He told us the story behind it and it was pretty entertaining, if you go ask him yourself as I don’t want to ruin the fun for you. Anyway, Leonard is an excellent bartender! Knowledgeable, friendly, and gave us a few samples of some interesting liquors. I believe he works Sat-Mon so try to go on those nights, he definitely won’t disappoint! Sunday nights there is trivia, I was bummed we couldn’t stay to partake and I saw they have live jazz every Thursdays! Although not a fan of the food here, I will return time and again for my martini fix! I especially want to try their s’mores martini, Leonard says it’s delicious! Good lookin’ out bro!

I never remember the entire night when Lola’s is involved– which ironically is why it is so unforgettable. Everything is right on point from the martinis(given), the grub, to the crowd– never had a complaint from me.

Bottomless mimosas. Wait — you want me to go on? So apparently you must have a reservation to come here. The girls and I got lucky coming on a whim — it got pretty crowded for lunch. The list of mimosa flavors seemed endless. We tried to go down the list, but after about four, we really stuck to our fave ones(I personally liked the strawberry and mango). Food was delish too. I had the Cali omelette and a pancake on the side. If the pancake was a teaser to their other breakfast goodies, I bet the french toast and waffles would have been delicious. That said, I know what I want to try when I go back!

I recently had one of the best brunch experience at Lola’s! I heard about Lola’s by attending a Unilocal event a few months back. Lola’s served mac n’ cheese wine and french toast. I have to say that was the BEST mac n’ cheese, french toast and wine I’ve ever had!!! It was instantly added to my MUST try again Spots! I have literally been craving Lola’s ever since. When I got home from the event I checked the website and was mind blown by the drink special they had during brunch. Ever since then I have been telling every soul I encounter to come here! I made it a mission to attend, and to clear everyone’s schedule to make it a day at Lola’s. I finally was free one weekend and gather my group and headed to Hollywood. They have $ 5.00 Valet or you can park in the street, I recommend Valet just because it’s next door and who has time to waste on looking for parking. We parked Valet and made our way in. The host asked us if we had a reservation, and I said no. Apparently you have to make one just to be safe. That was not a problem with us because we were seated quickly an comfortably enough in a large living room seating. We sat in couches large enough to seat 10 people and in front was a large coffee table. Our server almost quickly before we can sit took out orders. We got the Bottomless mimosas only $ 16.00 — All you can Drink and the Bottomless bloddy mary’s $ 18.00 — All you can drink Drinks are accordingly: Mimosa’s $ 6 per glass/$ 16 bottomless Classic Strawberry Mango Pear Green Apple Pineapple Banana Blueberry Peach Cucumber Mint Black Cherry Bloody Mary Bar $ 7 per glass/$ 16 bottomless Traditional Horseradish Jalapeño Basil BBQ Guinness Teriyaki WOOOW! right? Exactly my point, not to mention my Lola’s chicken Omelet was delicious! Our waiter Shawn made our brunch one of the best! He spoke his mind about all of us, he was real and not afraid to tell you to stop yelling at him. lol I loved his quick and real attitude, he reminded me of myself haha! When I first asked him what was his name he hesitated and asked«Why?» he said«Are you going to Tweet about me?» haha I just wanted to know his name so I can call him by his name instead of shouting«HEYYY!!!» all the time. lol But other than that, I did end up Tweeting about you Shawn, because you were amazing. :) At the end of our brunch the owner Lola made a quick stop and began to talk to everyone. This made our experience even better, she sat and had conversations with her guest and even showed them around the restaurant! Who does that? :) At the end of the day we left feeling good, with our tummies satisfied and great stories to tell. My friends all thank me for the invite and asked that we should do that again sometime. Definitely will do, and bring all my girl friends next time! :)

Never a dull night at Lola’s! I mean they INVENTED the Apple-tini! WHAAAA! Yeah, and Britney Spears has had a bday here, and it’s just so LA, and so Hollywood, and so fun! Came here on an amazing groupon deal, and was able to sample a bunch of drinks and food. Favorite martini of the night: lemon drop. You don’t taste the alcohol ATALL. It’s delicious, not too tart/lemony, and just kinda perfect! Favorite dish of the night: Mac and cheese! Truffled, of course, cuz every good mac and cheese is nowadays, and with bacon crumbles and baked breading on top, it was just delicious. So satisfying, and tasted«high end”-ish without losing the comforting factor of a great homey/easy mac(i love easy mac) mac and cheese. Other great drinks: peach martiini was very sweet but tasted like candy. Cantaloupe was light and fresh. Orrange dreamsicle tasted just like a freaking orange dreamsicle! Who woulda thought! Other yummy foods: flatbread pizza was good. dough a little stiff, but it was a nice size to split. Tiramisu was sweet, but still very good. Mascarpone was stiff but not so much that it was cakey. Tip: cheap/free street meter parking. Meters end around 8pm!

Came here with a group of friends for dinner one night. We missed our reservation by 15 minutes, and they had already given away our table, which was disappointing. Luckily, they had a really cute waiting area. I’m actually not sure if it was intended to be a waiting area, or if it was just an extension of the«lounge,» but it was cute and we sat there and we waited. The décor is all around very cute. My friend and I really wanted to try the angel hair lobster pasta and the lobster ravioli, so we ended up sharing the two. Even so, it was so filling that we had to take leftovers home. I loveeee lobster, and the pasta and ravioli were both delicious! I was afraid that the ravioli would not be enough for one person, but they give you quite a few pieces. My second fear was that there would not be very much lobster in the ravioli, but again, I was proven wrong. Tried a little bit of my friend’s key-lime martini, and it was quite delicious. tl;dr: Loved the décor and the food. Would definitely come back!

Pearl Jam — great dish! lots of seafood in it. It is a very hearty and yummy dish! Definitely try this one! This place is known for its martinis. My friend really loved the apple martini because it was not too sweet. They even include a slice of apple inside. Cantaloupe Martini — named one its best sellers but mine tasted like a sour cantaloupe which is definitely not good. It was sweet and then all of a sudden it became sour. There are also some martinis with tequila in them. BE aware of these! They have a lot of alcohol in them and basically taste like you took a shot of tequila but in a martini glass! I would definitely be back to try the other martinis! They have a wide variety of selections and are even categorized by sweetness!

Had dinner here with some friends last week. Walked in and LOVED the look of this place. Very pretty, great lighting, awesome music. Service was impeccable. Our waiter was adorable! 5 stars for the waiter who moved here from Virginia last week. I wanted to take him home! As soon as we were seated in the incredibly cushy booth, we were served a plate of pickled carrots, asparagus, beets and pickles. We were also served some homemade chips. Do you like salt? Then you would have loved these plates. The chips were overly salted. The asparagus was inedible due to the salty brine it was soaked in. I love the beets, but they were clearly canned pickled beets. I have been known to pop a can of those babies and demolish in one sitting though. I ordered their white sangria(they don’t offer red) and while it was very pretty, it was super peachy and really strong and kind of hard to drink. It was almost like there was peach schnapps in it. I began with a cup of the French Onion Soup. This soup was great! It was served with a flaky biscuit on top of the cheese, which I had never seen before. It was really good though, I liked it better than the normal piece of soggy bread served under the cheese. The broth was very sweet and beefy. Loved it. For dinner I had the Angel Hair Pasta with Lobster. The pasta was a little overcooked. The sauce was nice. The lobster was mushy. I ate two pieces of the lobster and then stuck to just eating the noodles. My friends and I also split a side of Brussels Sprouts with Panchetta. The Brussels were great, cooked perfectly. The Panchetta, I felt, should have been rendered down more. There were hits, there were misses. My friend lives across the street from Lola’s and she said the breakfast and unlimited mimosas are great. If I go see her again, I will give them another shot, but for now, just A-OK.

3.5 stars. I was sucked in by a $ 50 Groupon!!! Ahhh! So I decided it would be perfect for a dinner date since I’m not about to order 5 martinis for myself. If I did, well, I didn’t so we won’t go there. Anyhow, I tried the food, and I wish I had just stuck to the martinis and dessert. The food here, is just okay… but I wouldn’t come back for it. BLOODORANGEMARTINI Yummmyyy…think orange creamsicle… with alcohol hehe. POTATOCHIPSANDMORE OOh they did serve some yummy potato chips instead of bread. A nice change up from the usual. Large slices of potato fried up crispy and served with pickles, pickled carrots and beets. BAKEDBRIEINPASTRY To start it all off we couldn’t resist getting the brie baked in pastry. Mmmm… brie baked in pastry is so yummy. You can’t go wrong with that right? Well the stuff they served with the brie wasn’t very well thought out. Apple slices, pear slices, and assortment of crackers, dried cranberries and grapes. The only thing that really went well is the apple. Brie has such a light creamy taste to it that it’s easy to overwhelm it with strong flavors. The dried cranberries have a very strong sweet tart taste. The crackers were overall too thick for the brie. The grapes were just out of nowhere. The pear was okay, but still didn’t go well. Usually brie goes well with thin crispy crackers, apple, apricot and fig. PENNEPASTAINCREAMSAUCEWITHSMOKEDSALMON The most delicious part was the light cream sauce, slightly buttery and seafoody. The rest not so well. The penne was very much mediocre, the sauce was so thin it didn’t stick to the pasta. The dish basically relied on the smoked salmon which was pretty salty so made the entire dish very salty. And the cherry tomatoes chopped in half? The rest of the dish will be a good temperature, then try to eat a cherry and it almost burns your tongue! They’re like little bombs that hold the heat in, maybe they should cut those a bit smaller. PORKCHOPS Pork chops were a bit overcooked but overall not too bad. Yummy sauce: p Mashed potatoes and broccoli were just blah. So while I’m still loving Lola’s for their martinis and desserts, I wouldn’t be bad for their dinner menu.
