It had been a while since I’ve stepped foot inside the Mondrian Hotel and it was exactly as I remembered, beautiful people and beautiful view. We had a lovely dinner at Ivory although I don’t remember much of the food but the service was friendly and efficient. We were seated outside during sunset and it was gorgeous. I’d go back just for that!

Let’s get to the point, this place is NOT worth it. The waiter messed up my order a good 2 times and each time it would take 45 mins for«correct«meal to be brought to me. We were also seated in a spot in which the sun was directly hitting my eyes in which I asked several times if I can move. The food here is just gross and over priced, not worth the hype.

The Mondrian Hotel is ecstatic. The restaurant ambiance is nice. It has a modern edgy feel to it. The view is breathtaking and the bartenders are cute which are two of the only reasons this restaurant even deserves a star. The waitress assigned to our table had quite an attitude, which made my graduation lunch a bit disappointing. Other than the great company and impeccable view I do not see why ANYONE would chose to come to this restaurant. Our food was served cold. I ordered the veggie benny which is a vegetarian eggs Benedict. I had to ask for clarification since the menu made it sound like an omelette. It was served and the yolk was overdone. The yolk wasn’t even runny. The mojito which is usually on point was simply a hott mess. I felt like the bartender was trying to get me drunk just off one. The people who attended this restaurant were beyond bougie. Mind you I was born and raised in LA and the people who came to this restaurant and acted like they were from here were wannabes. Overall, if this restaurant wants to compete with other LA brunch spots they need to step up their game.

So the views are absolutely a breath of fresh air and I love the casualness of the place along with those gorgeous 1 story Windows… the food, it’s ok so far. Will keep on trying.

Great view, excellent food, and great service. Accommodating with our request to turn off the speaker right over our table. They seated us by the glass with a view of the sunset. We ordered way too much for 2 people: Lobster Mac & Cheese, Octopus, and Crispy Branzino. The Octopus and Branzino were excellent! Mac and Cheese was also solid.

Drinks took over 20 minutes to be served and the atmosphere was like a club invaded the restaurant. The views are great though. Go here if you’re looking for a night out with friends and the dining experience isn’t the only reason your going out.

I recently had my baby shower here and it was fantastic! The views are incredible, the food was delicious, and the prices were fair. The staff was professional and straightforward and there were no surprise charges. Some restaurants we looked at around LA had hidden and silly fees. It was a brunch and one of the options was bottomless mimosas for my guests. They had an incredible time. Take advantage of that if your group likes to drink! It’s a good deal. Since it was sunny, we could’ve used more umbrellas. There weren’t enough to cover all of our guests and it was pretty bright and warm. If you hold an event here, grab all of the umbrellas from the restaurant and pool area early, even if the sun isn’t out yet. They get snapped up pretty quickly!

2 words: Rooftop brunch. This is quite possibly one of the cutest rooftop lounges/restaurants I’ve been to! My Godfather treated my family and I to brunch one Sunday afternoon and since he was staying in the hotel we figured this would be most convenient. After our meals we were all so glad we chose this spot. The food, like the décor and ambiance was something you won’t forget. We were lucky to get a window seat so we had a nice view of the city. The roof cover wasn’t fully opened because of the weather but the temperature was perfect. I could go on and on about this experience but I will get to the food! Brioche French Toast– sweet and fluffy! Glad my brother got this and let me skimp off his plate! Lobster scramble– I HEARD it was delicious. My darling mother pretty much inhaled it before I got a taste. But I mean I don’t think you can go wrong with anything that has lobster. This will definitely be on my plate next time! Chilaquiles and eggs — i had this before elsewhere and it contained meat so I was expecting that. However, this one didn’t. I got a side of hollandaise and this was actually pretty good. Nice and filling if you’re looking for a vegetarian meal. All American — I’d recommend this if you want something simple. Eggs, breakfast potatoes, toast and sausage or bacon. A side of pancakes really makes this feel complete. They’re breakfast potatoes are memorably delicious as well I’d recommend this spot if your looking for an upscale brunch experience. It’s a little pricy but you get your money’s worth!

Cool, casual and trendy spot right next to Skybar. Portions are small, but the food is super tasty. Would highly recommend the tuna tartar — so flavorful mmmm. Service was awesome. Views are pretty nice. Drinks are top notch as well. Valet is $ 10 after you get it validated. I would probably come again for brunch with the girls or a casual outing.

Very pricy rude waiters, and a food that taste worse than a cheap burger from a fast food. The bar next door is extremely loud and ruined the meal. And their valet it’s a rip off. Very limited choice of desert and wine. And they are not even apologetics when you point out that they deliver the wrong order.

Nos hospedamos en el hotel, y la verdad que el lugar es fantastico. Muy romantico, tanto el restaurant como el pool bar. La comida muy rica y la atencion de primera! Muy recomendable, sobre todo si despues se quieren cruzar al skybar.

I love everything about this place! The view here at the Mondrian hotel is unbeatable. We had reservations on a Friday night and were seated upon arrival. Beatrice, I think that was her name, was super sweet and attentive while seating us. The ivory is super romantic and dimly lit I would definitely recommend coming here for date night !! Food was delicious and drinks were great too. Only complaint was their mushroom dish, it was watery and a bit bland.

Cute place. Went in the rain so I couldn’t see the full effect of the view. But still very nice! The food was great. Everything we ordered was good except for the wild mushroom. Far from being wild. Had zero flavor. Very cute seating area with a good vibe.

If its ambiance your looking for, this is the place. The amount of open space that is created here gives diners a very good feeling. They have pulled a see through plastic tent that is about 30 feet high, so the diners are protected from the elements but still feel as if being in an outside patio. There a beautiful 30 foot bar on the left which also has great views. There is also an indoor section, but there were only two diners in there. It was a beautiful LA afternoon/evening why be inside. Let’s start with the spectacular views of DTLA, WLA, San gabriel Valley. They are to die for. We sat there for nearly two hours at Sunset on Easter sunday and just took it all in. The natural beauty just evokes conversation. The wait staff know their menus and are engaging and suggestive. His suggestion of the tuna tartar made with locally sources ingredients and the fact that was line caught and is also sustainable, was very tasty. The main course was the Branzini, boned and served in a beautiful presentation also decorated with local produce. It’s not inexpensive here, but when views and long lounging dinners are factored in, I thought is was a very good value.

I came to The Ivory for my birthday, and I definitely chose a good spot. We had a reservation at 7:30, and we were immediately seated. There’s an indoor and an outdoor area, but we were seated in the indoor area, which was perfect since it was cold. I didn’t know this restaurant had a view, but the view from our table was great. The place is decorated nicely, and I loved the ambiance. It’s a cute little chic restaurant. Our waiter was great. He checked on us frequently and made sure everything was great. The food was also delicious. I had the filet mignon with truffle fries. The fries were soooo yummy. They also brought me a complimentary birthday desert, which was delicious. They have valet parking, but you have to make sure you see the sign or you’ll drive past it. The restaurant is located in the Mondrian hotel, which I didn’t know and the hostess didn’t bother telling me. Other than that my experience was great. I’ll definitely be back.

I came here last night for a birthday celebration and everything was great. We had a great waiter who accommodated us throughout the night and the food was all great. Five of us had steak and one had chicken; everyone enjoyed their food to the point of almost complete silence the whole time. There are very few restaurants that cook a medium well steak properly, but The Ivory definitely succeeds in this area. I also like that they have pineapple juice as a drink option, which isn’t too popular in general, let alone after breakfast/brunch. I’ll definitely be back to try the lunch/brunch menu.

3.75 stars. Came here for dinner with an out-of-town friend last Friday. We had a 7:30pm resy and my friend was apparently told by the hostess that we had a two-hour time limit on our table as they were extremely busy. Hmm, throughout the entire night, the restaurant was never even half-way full so I’m not sure what she was talking about. In any case, they didn’t boot us out and we stayed for more than three hours. The food was ok, nothing really stood out for me. We ordered the crab cakes(good texture), kale salad(humungous and couldn’t even finish it), artichoke flatbread & truffle fries(my fave among all the dishes). With a cocktail, 2 pinot noirs and an americano for each of us, our bill came out to about $ 209 all-in. The space itself is cool, with a huge outdoor space that’s also covered in case it rains. The décor hasn’t seemed to changed much over the years though, which is fine. Crowd is typical douchey WeHo.

Amazing experience! The bar manager, staff and kitchen are phoneomimal! The shrimp and crab legs are juicy and so big, ask for a side of remoulade for them(it’s great!). My mom and I had the ahi tuna and octopus, all scrumptious. If you like mezcal, try the dueling pistolas cocktail. Definitely a place to put on your list.

I guess it’s more of a personal thing where I really miss Asia de Cuba, and I’m taking it out on Ivory. I haven’t visited here since AdC left and Herringbone stepped in, temporarily, or so it felt. I missed dineLA here, so I decided to do try lunch since I was local for the day. I remembered the chicken sandwich from their previous restaurant(AdC), and this was always one of my favorites. Served with mojito fries, there wasn’t a better club in town. However, this one was not up to par. Obviously it’s a different place, and I guess I had higher expectations. The fries were of the skinny variety(not a favorite) and the sandwich was okay. Still water that was served from a glass bottle had an odd taste, so I had to request regular tap. This was all done efficiently, and I would like to point out that the service was fine. Gone are the large potted plants so many may recall from AdC, but it’s still a beautiful spot. I chose to sit indoors, and they put my beside one of those picturesque windows. That was one thing they knew not to get rid of during all of the other eateries they’ve had here. I’ll tell you who does deserve 5-stars, is my favorite hostess Bea! She’s been there FOREVER, since the AdC days. I’m so glad to see she is back. She only does dinner and brunch, so I missed her during lunch, but I’ll be stopping by when I’m over there in the evening. She makes everyone feel at home.

Do not confuse this place with Herring Bone(which was eekhy). This restaurant is brand spanking new and waiting for a foodie like me. This yummy restaurant is at the Mondrian hotel, next to SkyBar. Ambiance: you can choose between sitting inside or outside. The outside is beautiful because there is a view of the city(the restaurant is on sunset, sunset is on a hill. Use your imagination for the scene.) Food recommendations: fried chicken, beef hanger steak, fries, kale salad(I usually like Ahi Tuna, but the one here was way too spicy — they need to simmer down on the spice) I got a lot more food — just remember it being good. I was impressed considering how fresh(and so clean) the restaurant is. Parking: sucks bad. They do have valet, but could end up costing up to 40 bucks. I recommend über if you’re in the neighborhood! Tip: have a drink next door(Sky bar)!

What a great new restaurant! I was here just after New Years with friends, and we were all blown away by the transformation of this restaurant and bar. The interior used to be all white and stark, and now it feels new and fresh yet still retro. The patio used to be a mess, but now it’s clean and open, while offering spectacular views of the city below. The restaurant sits at the back of the Mondrian Hotel on top of the hill on the Sunset Strip, and once we were inside it felt like we were transported out of LA — which is a good thing in my book. The menu is outstanding — raw bar, salads, flatbreads, and an entire section of items to share. Try the crab cakes, octopus, and the chicken thigh — yum. The chicken thigh is made buffalo wing style and served with ranch potatoes, and is just perfect. The octopus is grilled and comes with beans, tomatoes, and capers. I had diver scallops for dinner, which were cooked perfectly and had no grit at all. I also got to try some of the tomahawk ribeye my mates ordered with chimichurri, and it was amazing. We sat at a table in the back of the dining room, but we started with drinks at the bar outside. Finding the restaurant was easy, as you just walk thru the lobby and out onto the patio. There is a baby grand piano near the bar inside, and a comfy looking lounge tucked off to one side. It’s very dark and cosy, and I can’t wait to get back there.
