Blind Dragon has a great atmosphere for partying with a small to medium sized groups. The night that I went the energy was very high and everyone was having fun. I was at a table but everyone was interacting with others all around. They decorated and furnished this place really well, it has a classy/trendy Japanese-inspired vibe. It’s nice to not do the whole club thing but sometimes you still want to go somewhere fun with other people who want to have fun. This place provides that. Love this place and would definitely return. I also want to try the karaōke. I will say– drinks are pricy. Be prepared to spend.

I’m NOT impressed by the 3 star Unilocal review(nor is Iain) because this place is kinda awesome and deserves nothing less than a 5 star review. For a girl who has no life lately and enjoys spending her free time Unilocaling I had an absolute blast! I came for a post tech week party and not only enjoyed the $ 19 cocktails, but was impressed by the wide variety of karaōke tunes in the three private rooms. Don’t let the private rooms intimidate you– each room fits about 15 – 20 people comfortably and offers personalized karaōke tunes ranging from Ryan Cabrera to Toto Africa. The location is prime, located behind Roku on Sunset, however the actual entrance is rather tricky to locate. This requires some investigation skills and sneaking around through a shady indoor parking lot. Follow the tune def vocals and you will quickly find the velvet ropes located near the entrance. Overall, I’d be lying if I said I’m the karaōke type, but the small nature of these individualized rooms makes this hot spot my new cup of tea and future hangout spot.

Nice try guys. The familiar and popular K-town concept of the underground, after hours karaōke bar meets the dark, dank DTLA speakeasy revival bar just ain’t working here. Poor cocktails. Poor general space and even poorer private karaōke rooms. The venue is just too new(no character) and too far west. It’s a bad imitation filled with the crowd you’d expect from a «club» on Sunset and Doheny: dumb white kids who know nothing better and Persians.

This is the kind of place that you would drive by a bajillion times and never notice it. I came here specifically for a private showcase event for a band and I was pleasantly surprised. I think it’s a great place for a small kickback with friends. I enjoyed the quirky looking décor and the random piano in the room. There was even a photobooth! The bartenders were nice and open to small talk. Structure parking: 10 dollars I can definitely see myself coming back here again.

I was taken here for the first time by a few friends on Saturday night and it was to say… mixed. I kinda liked the establishment and ambiance and everything to the actual bar itself however the crowd was just ratchet af dude. They nailed their little«secret entrance» but this is definitely nowhere you would go for a crazy night out. Hardly anybody seemed to be drinking there– everyone I saw was pre-gaming on the walk lol. Plus the ‘smoking’ section outside the doors is really lame… why the hell is there a nasty nappy couch in a parking garage. They have one big fan to kinda sorta not really ventilate the parking garage from the heat and cig smoke. My group of friends and I were constantly coming back in and out just cause I think we were honestly bored. The place is okay. Nothing special. Don’t go here expecting to want to come back often and make it a usual spot, just go to say you’ve been I guess… I DID really like the photo booth tho lmao

This place was horrible. The customer service was horrible and everyone was so very rude. I would not recommend this bar/karaōke place to anyone. I had gone for a friends birthday and they literally forgot to mention there were time limits– like who even has time limits. We drank and were having a good time but by 11pm we had to be out because they had another reservation right after us which they failed to mention. The food was cold and the drinks were a complete rip off. This place needs to be shut down.

It doesn’t get more LA then this place. My friends and I came here in a group of four(hot girls) for my best friend’s birthday… we made a reservation a week prior and were on the list and everything, so you would think getting in would be no problem. One girl in our group is beautiful but slightly over weight and they wouldn’t let us in because of it(they didn’t ever sugar coat it) but they had no problem letting in the ugliest of the ugliest Vegas trash looking people in right behind us. This is a classes and tacky establishment, but if you want to drink with ugly superficial airheads then this is the place for you!

I like that the H. Wood group is branching out from bland and lazy«look how rich we are» themes in their bars but that is about all I like about Blind Dragon. They are trying to capitalize on the speak-easy hidden entrance craze going on right now… fine, but don’t pat yourself on the back for being original, guys. Right off the bat the waitress… sorry…“geisha”?? said she wouldn’t serve me a drink because our party was about to go into the karaōke room(that didn’t actually happen for another 20 minutes by the way). So I had to wait and the bar nervously hoping not to miss being escorted in to karaōke room since I had no idea how to get into the big red box in the middle of the bar yet. I really felt where the night was going when I was informed that my well vodka tonic was $ 19. NINTEENDOLLARSFOR A WELLDRINK. The crowd in this place was deplorable. In fact some youngster and an 80-year-old woman(what was she doing in there?!) got into a fight with one of the servers at the end of the night. Just a bunch of bougie trash bag people all over the place trying to feel elite at a lame asian-themed overpriced karaōke bar at the end of the sunset strip. I like that they had a smoking section in the garage so you don’t have to walk all the way around to the street each time your friends want to smoke but it made the whole place stink to high heaven. Just go to k-town or little tokyo for some seriously fun and deviant after hours karaōke, the Blind Dragon is garbage.

If I could use my negative stars on any place this one would be the one. Spent close to $ 700 for a bottle of Goose and basically a half hour in a room just to be kicked out afterwards and be told we weren’t able to stick around the bar area. I took a lap around the place and we were the only group there at 9:30 on a Thursday. This place is shady, ridiculously rude and the dudes at the front door of the place have seen too many movies and think they are gangsta. This place is yet another place that will go out of business due to outrageous prices, rude employees, and horrible management.

Well, I do need to disclose that this review is primarily for the establishment itself versus their evening shenanigans. Through the vision(and awesome connections) of my beloved bridesmaids, my party posse, they set up my bridal shower here on a Sunday afternoon. At that time, parking was relatively easy, seeing as how it shared a parking garage with the adjoining plastic surgery clinic. The interior is very posh, reminiscent of old hollywood glamour on one side, and the other, an oriental themed red room, very sexy. Notably, the karaōke quarters are quite cute and would easily house a group of fun-filled, inebriated singing girls. Oh yeah, as you walk in, you’ll see a statue of bruce lee, directly facing a shiny black piano – a mish mash of cultures for sure. Definitely made for some beautiful photos though. Loved this little picturesque spot. Only thing left to do is come back for some libations and karaōke.

Since they put my previous review in hidden section«not recommended» I’ve decided to make an update :) just to make sure to share my «incredible» experience with this place. The sh*** place ever! They try to play upscale, celebrity style hot spot and play this game«hard to get in». but it’s not even worth it! Inside is a cool décor but nothing special. what pisses me off is how they manage the«face control» it took us 15 min of wait to get in and the host played so snobby. there were other girls in line and beautifullllll girls, guess what they didn’t let them in ! instead some ugly, short leg women walked in who had«reservation» … I mean if you are trying to make it that fancy, at least get the nice crowd !. oh and for the guys if you didn’t park your rented Maserati in front of their place you have zero chances to get in. ewww can’t stand this cheap, fake, drama with places like this who is «famous wannabe», but in a reality not even a cool place. if this place was in NY or Europe I am sure they would get 1 star rating from everyone !!!

We rented a room and paid over $ 800 and they would not let us stay and drink at the bar. There is a blonde b**** at the door who is really good at taking orders from some c*** manager. Not worth the $ 800. If they had new management I would possibly go back. The worst service I have ever had.

Blind Dragon delivers on substance and need. LA was in need of few more places like this. They also deliver on layout/décor and more importantly build up. I’ll keep the details for the novelty of your first visit. However, have to say walking through a kitchen to enter is brilliant for a spot like this(ala Sayers) — as such giving it a 5 star.
