West Valley Pulmonary Medical Group

This used to be a great office when Dr. Gordon Dowds was there, but since he left and it is only Dr. Amerian, the level of service has deteriorated significantly. The office refused to refill my prescriptions and told me I had to come in and see the doctor if I wanted them refilled, but they have no appointment availability for a month and a half!!! How am I supposed to get my medicine? Terrible!

Terrible experience with Dr. Roger Amerian. After 2 visits, he prescribed 4 medications and I called to tell him of my bad reaction. Left message. No response. Called again and spioke to staff who took another message. Next day rec’d a call just to confrm my appt. What about my questions? Ask dr. when you get here. Next day went for appt and after 1 hr in waiting room, asked if dr would be much longer. Was told there were still 3 patients ahead of me and I could rebook. What about my questions about the meds? Dr. then came to the window and told me that he was «very busy seeing people who where really sick», and he did not operate on a «train schedule» and that I shoud find a dr who just «stayed in his office all day waiting for patients». That obviously I was not a good «fit».for him. Said the meds he gave me weren’t very strong anyway. I said there was no reason to be so nasty but he continued on and even the receptionist felt sorry for me and tried to apoligise for dr. behavior. i would NEVER recommend this dr to anybody.

My doctor sent me to this group for a pulmonary function test. One week later the test has still not been reviewed or evaluated. Of course they did have time to bill Medicare and get paid for it. I have called them three times. They are totally unapologetic. When Iwent there for the test I specifically asked if I could have a copy of the test fax to me directly. I was told no problem. Now I’m being told I can’t get it I have to wait for my doctor to see it. Of course he doesn’t have it either and it’s Thanksgiving weekend. In all my 67 years I have never waited this long to get the resultsof a test. If I need a consult I will definitely not go to this practice.

I know doctors offices can be a long day wiht nothign to do. Bring a book to keep the mind busy but hte staff and doctors are good at what they do and show that they care
