Beware. These guys don’t follow their advertised hours of operation. Before you drive 30 minutes expecting them to actually be open, you might want to call and see if they’ve decided to sit around and drink beer vs. serving customers. Lights on, sign on, all employees present… just not willing to fry up a couple burgers while they still have 25 minutes on the clock. Last I checked, a burger fries up much faster than 25 minutes. Owner complained that it was costing him«a ton of money to stay open» waiting for customers. Now it cost him two repeat customers. Just saying…

Great food, great service, amazing people. I have alway been going to TFS since day 1. I’m someone who very lucky to live near this amazing place. The first time I tried their burgers, I was amazed of how well prepared it was and IT’S ALLNATURALANDORGANICFOOD That is a huge plus for me and other people. This is my go-to place to whenever I am hungry and a place that I won’t shut up about with my friends. Eating there is just another thing too, the place is well decorated it feels like I’m eating in the 1960s and the music makes even more better. It definitely add to the vibe of this place. Now the great people, I was blown away of how nice, how friendly these people are. I recently went in there to sell ads for NRHS Drama Society and talk to the owner, such amazing person. Someone you will enjoy talking to. Great man. He told they will always accept charity and showed me a photo of them with the mayor of West Haverstraw after they donated crates of water to support and help Flint Michigan water crisis. That what I love the most in people, when they give back to their community or people in need of help. It truly makes me happy. I also love how everyone there treat you as a friend and always try to talk you. Bottom line, this place is amazing and I HIGHLY recommend people to come here, they won’t regret it.

The Filling Station did not disappoint! The Texaco burger was very good, and the TFS burger was even better. This place is a uniquely great spot to grab a beer, burger, and fries.

Food is great, but very expensive for a burger. Fancy burgers, fries and drinks for two people could cost about $ 40. Dipping sauces are tasty. Fry seasoning is delicious, but inconsistently under or over applied to regular fries or sweet potato fries, If you don’t want super salty fries. specify light on fry seasoning. They have craft beers available which is nice on a hot day if you are eating in. Many of the staff are really friendly, but a few are awful. A few times orders placed online were not ready after 30 minutes. One order placed for pickup Fall 2015, wasn’t ready after over 30 minutes, one female staff member explained that the delay was our fault for ordering online because it takes them a long time to receive the online orders. Now when we order, we call it in instead; less convenient than ordering and paying online. Best to eat in. Take-out from TFS is a headache WARNING: Take-out is not packaged well, expect half of the contents of your burger to have spilled out of the open end wax bagie, out of the cardboard container, and then into the paper bag, where oils and sauces will seep through and possibly stain your car upholstery or pants. To-go cups for soft drinks are also flimsy, be wary and careful if you get takeout.

Outstanding food and service! We just had dinner there and the staff, especially Israel, were great. The burgers were tasty, cooked perfectly, and the fries… what can I say. They were outstanding, especially with the aioli dipping sauce. There was a slight miscommunication and one of our burgers was ordered. No worries, it came up pretty quick and Israel saved the day with my youngest by giving him a scoop of ice cream to make up for the wait. That was great customer service. It also led us to all buy some ice cream while it was snowing out, so Israel is a great salesman too. While getting the ice cream, we noticed that they also offered sweet potato fries. The staff overheard the comment and gave us a sample to try, so we could get them next time. We will be going back!!!

«Gas station? Wait its a restaurant!!!» This place pretty neat I gotta say upon reaching this place I clearly thought it was a gas station! I questioned my gf as to why we were stopping at a gas station but I went with my instincts as always to trust her judgment and she did good in taking me here! This place is actually a really dope burger shop! The space was descent enough for groups and the theme of the place was like being inside a old school garage. From the front desk from when you order to the clever bathroom it was car garage themed! I though that was so cool of them to do. Even the ketchup, mustard, and utensils were even in a tool shed, talk about coolness! «Burgers with style» They tons of different styles of burgers and offer plenty of toppings to satisfy your needs! So from lots of onions to pickles they will accommodate your specific wants! They also carry I believe six beers on tap, as well as locally own ice cream from the area. The milkshakes are favorable because you tell its locally made with lots of love! Even the beers on tap taste good you can tell they really keep up with the cleanliness of this place. My burger with fries came out very well I was truly please at the end product so I had to take a picture of that! «Overall in burgerland» Top notch burgers, top notch beers on tap, and top notch milkshakes! Along with a wonderful concept and a theme you really can’t go wrong up here, so people in the city make the trip to come up here! It’s worth the money!

Tried TFS for the first time today and unfortunately, I must admit that I was pretty underwhelmed. Admittedly, it is a very cool concept. The garage turned burger joint gives it a fun vibe but the food doesn’t match up. It’s a typical burger in an atypical location. We ordered a medium rare and a medium burger and both were prepared well done with no pink in sight. For a place that advertises on their menu that all burgers are prepared medium unless otherwise requested, you’d think they’d know how to cook a medium burger — 1st trip: no such luck. When you’re paying 6 $-10 $ for a burger, it should be prepared right. Pros: cool theme, very friendly service, craft beer Cons: small, overlooked burgers, almost warm fries.

So the sign outside says best burgers and fries. It’s not lying. The burger I just ate was bliss. Very good. Chess fries also good. I don’t know what the hell Truffle aioli sauce is but it’s good.

Excellent spot. 1) The burgers are fantastic. Best in the area. 2) Try the truffle aioli with fries. 3) If you are hiking Bear Mountain State Park or Harriman State Park, give this place a shot.

We decided to check this cute shack out after hiking on Bear Mountain. The Texaco and American Kobe burgers are both very tasty and satisfying! The potato fries are really good, fried perfectly! We tried the spicy ketchup and the truffle aioli with the fries, both really yummy! It’ll be great if the sign outside of the store actually says«The Filling Station» or «Burger» bigger somewhere though. I happened to be searching what’s good to eat around the area, and happen to pass by it. But for people who just drive by may not know what the place is about. Don’t miss this place if you happen to be in the area!

After a long Saturday morning of riding the curves of Bear Mountain, a friend and I made a pit stop for lunch. We parked our motorcycles right in front of our table outside, which was nice since we could keep an eye on them. The theme of this burger joint is cool. It’s an old garage converted into a burger joint, so the utensils and condiments are in tool boxes and the doors/windows open wide enough for a car to drive in. Very open air atmosphere, very nice in good weather. I also loved that they were playing great music. Every song they played while I was there was Billy Joel, Queen, or Hall and Oates. Took a quick glance at the menu and ordered the TFS burger and the small size cheese fries. They surprisingly serve alcohol, so I grabbed a beer too. Prices weren’t bad, came to about $ 15 after adding a few things to my burger. The burger was OK, cooked medium rare as ordered. Their ground beef blend wasn’t anything special, but their bacon was good since it was on the thicker side. Their fries were advertised as belgian style, but they were cut much thinner than any other belgian style fries I’ve had. They tasted good regardless, but I did not enjoy their cheese sauce. It tasted highly of malt vinegar and not much cheese. Not my first choice for a burger.

Amazing. An old repair shop turned into a burger spot. Looked straight out of 1950. Bay doors on each side gave a very open atmosphere with good music to complement. Simple and original décor inside was very original, then came the food. The guy behind the counter asked if we’d been there before and when we said no he took the time to enthusiastically describe all the burgers and hot dogs. Many options from meat type to toppings. The craft beer selection was impressive and samples were offered with out a thought. About 8 choices, including Genesee cream ale and not sure why lol. The price was very reasonable and even more so when the food was brought to us. Burger was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Not greasy by any means and fresh bun. Basket of fries was enough for two with a great dipping sause. Manager came to table during the meal and was attentive to out thoughts on the food and the establishment. Bottom line, I highly recommend and hope the place does great. A must try in North Rockland

Ever notice the garage building on 9W next to the DMV? Well, it may appear to be a garage or auto body shop, but don’t let that fool you… this is a full-fledged burger joint at heart. Upon walking in, you see the aesthetic of the place really captures that old-fashion«American» vibe. Tool boxes containing ketchup and mayo packets, with napkins and utensils all organized in there. All the seats are metal stools and the table appearing to replicate a workbench. A cool concept is also when it’s nice weather out, they open the garage doors. Now people who live in North Rockland know there aren’t many legit burger places around the immediate area(fast food places don’t really count). TFS has some amazing burgers, hands down. The patties are very well seasoned, and they’re cooked to perfection. Having an American Kobe burger, with sautéed onions and cheddar cheese, and a mixture of mayo and ketchup, the first bite had a ton of flavor going on. However, the burger itself you can easily tell was really tasty. My fiancé and I also got a basket of fries with truffle aioli sauce to share, which was the perfect portion size. The fries were fresh and had a nice crispness to them. On top of the burgers and fries being insanely good, they even carry Coca-Cola in chilled glass bottles! Personally, drinks taste much better out of glass compared to plastic. If you’re in the mood for a beer, they have craft beers to choose from as well. Lastly, if you’re looking to fill that sweet tooth, they even carry ice cream. All in all, my fiancé and I loved the place and will definitely be coming back!
