Burton’s is definitely one of the best kept secrets in town. It’s a West Haven original. Not so much a restaurant, it’s rumored to be the oldest continually running bar in town and it’s pure awesome. It appears to be fashioned out of a converted house which definitely adds to the divey feel, yet it’s super clean and quaint inside. The old fashioned vibe is really welcoming and comforting. Usually there aren’t many other patrons, which makes it super chill, though I’m sure it gets busy on occasion. Drinks are really cheap. I’m writing from the location and my group just had three mixed drinks, a beer, and a shot between us, and the total was only $ 15! Insanely cheap. The bar selection is limited, but they have the basics to make a decent drink. Only Bud and Miller on tap, but trust me, it is worth the visit if you happen to be in town. The bartender is entertaining and friendly. They have a pool table and an incredible, vintage bowling game that is still only 25 cents. It’s an experience all on its own. They have a digital jukebox with a wide selection of music which adds to the ambiance. I give Burton’s five stars because it’s truly a unique experience, in a class all its own.
