Pediatric Ear Nose & Throat Associates

Dr. Howard Smith is the most wonderful doctor we have ever met. We have a 2 year old that has not slept, ever. He seems to have issues breathing. We brought him to a different ENT doctor back in Nov 2013. The doctor told us that she felt that I was «just a mom who didn’t like to get up at 4:30 in the morning». I was humiliated.
Someone referred me to Dr. Howard Smith and in January we decided to go see him. He and Judy, his receptionist (and I think wife) treated us and our son with respect the minute we walked in the door. The office is clean and ready for children! There are so many toys and things for them to do. We only waited a few minutes before the doctor himself came out to the waiting area to get us! When does that ever happen?
He took a FULL HOUR to examine our child and discuss his issues with us. As he was talking to us, I was trying to take notes. He said to me, «Don’t worry, I am going to email you notes from this meeting». And within a few hours, he did!
I had to call him late that following Friday night with a question about a prescription. I left him a message that it was not an emergency and we could talk on Monday. He called our house Saturday morning to help us.
We have been back once and will go back again this Thursday. He takes a comprehensive approach to helping his patients so this is our 3^rd visit in 3 months. We have a high deductible plan and I know some people would suggest that he has us come back to earn more money, but that is not the case. His rates are very reasonable, especially compared to the ENT I paid for nothing in November, and he really is taking his time to help us solve the breathing and sleeping problems our son has.
I would recommend him to anyone that worried about their child and needs an ENT. I am grateful someone recommended him to us.
