I have called on Marec a few times over the last 15 years or so, and I have been consistently happy with their work and prices. They have replaced both my boiler (once) and my hot water heater (twice now) over the years. I was impressed that the same technician that came out most recently had also been out over 10 years prior. He was very pleasant and professional.

Incompetent technician spent hours extra on «diagnosis» of what we had already figured out was the problem. Replaced and took with him a very expensive part that, as it turned out, was not the problem. We ended up paying three times the cost of what the repair should have been — to the point where, if we were going to have to pay that much for repair, we should have replaced the entire unit. Owner was downright rude when I called to discuss, would not make it right. I would never use them again. It appears that they have had so many bad reviews that they have now changed their name to Marec-​Pride to try to escape the bad reviews.
