After moving to Connecticut I went through 3 barbers before finding Joe. He runs his shop like a swiss watch and knows how to cut a tough head of hair.

After trying several barbers in the area, I finally found someone who can cut my(fine) hair consistently well. Moreover, Joe and his staff are nothing but pleasant and courteous. When I get there early, I am always offered a drink or snack. Joe works quickly, and will accommodate any request I have made to adjust the cut(e.g. — a little more off the sides). In the year or so I have been going to the Final Cut, I have yet to be disappointed. While his prices are not the lowest($ 28), I have found it worth the price. I do take my kids elsewhere, as they are not as particular and their thicker hair is easier to cut.

Not sure whether people below me understand what 1 star means. I’m relatively sure you need to get your ear chopped off to merit 1 star. Joe is the proprietor and main barber here. He always has a younger woman working the phones/washing the customers hair prior to their cut. Wednesdays there is another woman working who, in my opinion, is not quite up to Joe’s caliber. The shop can be reached by entering on either side of the real-estate company downstairs and taking either the elevator or the stairs up to the second level. Place is relatively small(2 barber chairs up front, 1 in a back room) and has two lounging chairs in the middle of the space. There is a tv on the wall above the mirrors that usually has either sports or news on, depending on what you ask for. Also, a small sink and reclining chair used to wash hair in the back left. The greatest things about Final Cut are that it’s quick, very friendly, and comfortable. Most of my haircuts are very simple, but I have never seen anyone in there more than 20 minutes. Despite what people below have said, this is not due to lack of quality. Joe knows what to do and doesn’t waste time dilly-dallying. The only negative I have found is that it is a bit expensive. Around $ 30 for a men’s haircut is hard to swallow when I can find similar quality elsewhere for $ 15-$ 20.

Went in for a $ 30 haircut and left without having my hair actually cut. It appears that this barber makes his money on rushing his cuts and his only advantage is the location. If you want to pay $ 10 more than the market rate for haircuts, this is the place to go. I wont be coming back.

My husband went in for a haircut to the barber who did not follow my husband’s request to trim hair on the sides. No personal touch, disrespectful to the customers.

I highly recommend The Final Cut. Great hair cuts and great people. Drinks, snacks, TV, and laughs come free with every hair cut. Every time I come here, I feel like I’m coming home. Highly recommended.

I brought in a child for a haircut and I was charged the same amount as an adult would be charged. They did an awesome job on the hair but I don’t think they should be charging a toddler haircut the same price! Unfortunately won’t be coming back.

I’ve gone to a few spots, but the most consistent, friendliest and good haircut I’ve had in West Hartford is with Joe at Final Cuts. I’ve also had some of his team cut my hair and all have been good. Joe looks it over when they’re training, but generally doesn’t do much to adjust, if anything. Great value for money, and really quick. I’m usually in and out in 20 minutes, with a wash. Bonus: you can get a beer, or whatever refreshments while your there, as well as watch the game.

As soon as you walk in, you’re reminded what a barber shop is all about. There are snacks out for all to enjoy, and you are asked if you would like anything to drink. It makes you feel like a guest in their home as opposed to just another head of hair. Everyone is very gracious and affable. The prices are excellent when compared to the location in West Hartford Center and the quality of the services provided is spectacular. If you need a barber in and around West Hartford, this is the place to go.

Great service, awesome prices, and a strong attention to detail. What more could you ask for? Oh, maybe for them to offer you a beverage when you arrive, well they do that too. Highly recommend this place.

We had the hardest time finding a reasonably priced, quality place for my boyfriend to get his hair cut since moving to the area. After several bad cuts from local places or mediocre cuts that cost $ 50, we stumbled upon the Final Cut Barber Shop while walking around on a Friday afternoon. We walked in and they were able to take him right away. They offered him a cold beer and me a glass of wine. While he was getting his hair cut I was able to enjoy a comfy leather chair in front of the Yankees-Sox game with my glass of wine. The woman that cut his hair(Jade) was fantastic. She took her time and did a quality job. He was really happy and we actually had a good time — they were really friendly. Finally, the cut was only $ 20, even with the straight razor on the back of his neck. They offer a ton of other services as well. He will definitely go back! Great experience all around!

Tucked away on the 2nd floor of a LaSalle Rd building, the Final Cut is one of West Hartford’s best-kept secrets. In a center of town dominated by frou-frou salons, the Final Cut glimmers like an oasis for guys, filled with sports memorabilia, leather armchairs and hi-def games on their flatscreen. And the cuts are just as good, thanks to Joe, one of the only«Master Barbers» in the area. Great place to hang out and get a quality haircut while your wife shops the stores.
