Do’s & Dye By Julie

Julie has been my hairdresser for at least 5 years, and I have followed her wherever she goes! She is a great stylist, brilliant with color (including bright purple!), and can manage my naturally curly hair better than any stylist I’ve ever had. More than any other hairdresser I’ve ever had, she actually *listens* to what you want, and then does it for you! She’s also a blast and super funny, which makes your time with her all the more fun. Can’t recommend her highly enough! :-)

My son and I have been clients of Julie’s for a couple years now after bouncing around from place to place. It’s so great to walk in to get a haircut and know you are going to walk out looking great. It’s shown me that it’s worthwhile to stick with a stylist once you find the right one. I have a lot of confidence in her skills and she is really personable.

I hired Julie as my wedding hair stylist. She did hair for my maid of honor, my mother, my MIL, and me. I had my wedding in CT but I live in Virginia, so I hired her without first meeting her. Julie was flexible with scheduling a hair trial for me just two days before the actual wedding day since I was coming from out of state. I sent her several pictures of hairstyles that I liked and she did a fantastic job coming up with a style that was just like I had envisioned. On the wedding day, Julie traveled to the hotel where we were staying and getting ready. She arrived on-​time and finished up with plenty of time to spare. She did an up-​do for my maid of honor and blowouts for the moms. Everyone’s hair looked great. Her prices are also very reasonable. I was very pleased with Julie’s work and I highly recommend her!

I just love Julie in general! She is fun, down to earth and a great Hair Stylist. She did my hair for my wedding and 5 of my bridesmaids. From the moment I sat in her chair for my trial I knew I was in good hands. She was responsive to the pictures I brought in and worked with me to get the style I was going for she did it so fast! I couldn’t believe how quickly it went! She took pictures of my hair that day and we got in touch several times between then and my wedding to discuss other options and ways to tweak it to make it better. On the day of the wedding Julie came to the hotel and was a great addition to the group on the day of. She worked with my bridesmaids-​most of whom had no clue how they wanted their hair done. All of them had different lengths and thicknesses of hair but she made them all look absolutely beautiful and they all loved their hair! I will definitely be back to see Julie in the future for my own haircuts and any other events!

I love Julie’s work! I recently hired her to do hair for my wedding (three bridesmaids, two moms and myself). Every one of us has different thickness and length of hair, but she was able to work with each of us — some got curls, some braids, some lighter waves and some partial up-do’s. Julie can do it all! Julie came on-​site to my venue to do our hair and brought everything — down to the hair chair — with her. She made it incredibly relaxed and easy on my wedding day. I enjoyed working with Julie so much that I scheduled a follow-​up haircut with her that came out great! I’ll definitely be a regular client of hers — my next appointment is already scheduled! Additionally, for weddings, Julie often works with Samar Elias (Makeup by Samar) and they make a great team!
