I like Baby’s R Us. I have bought all of my bigger purchases here since my daughter was born. Her stroller, car seat, baby swing, crib, changing table and dresser were all purchased here. I also think they have a STELLAR selection of baby food and snacks. I also bought all of my bottles here, my baby shades for the car, bottle warmer etc. I also enjoy their selection of clothes and toys! They have a really good selection of formula diapers and wipes as well. I will keep coming back!

Worst place to register for a new baby. .or in our case twins. …nothing but trouble with the registry. Lost orders, out of stock items, guest having trouble logging in, high shopping cost, no emails for in store pick ups then they delete the order. . 5000 dollars on the registry. They didn’t send confirmation on pick up order that my wife had made, deleted the order, all they could do is refund the gift cards and say try to order again. …to me that’s not enough. .maybe it will be in stock, maybe they will send a confirmation email. .horrible. after further review we should of went with Amazon. cheaper shipping. Simple ordering. .good luck if you choose them to do your baby registry.

It’s not every day that you get a chance to shop in anticipation of the birth of your first grandchild, but that’s what we did last night. We looked up the names on the registry, printed the list on their in-store kiosk, and decided on a stroller and a monitor. We were about to experience extraordinary customer service. We found the stroller easily enough, but didn’t see the monitor in the glass case. This is where we met Assistant Store Manager Jeanie who met us at the glass case, looked behind some of the boxes, and not seeing it, went into the backroom to look more. Still not finding it, she offered to sell us a better model for the same price. She was super personable, super helpful, and chatted with us a good while to tell us about the clothing clearance racks(super 60% off values). Truth be told, she was absolutely terrific in every aspect. After we paid at the register and walked to the parking lot, we discovered that the massive stroller carton wouldn’t fit in our car. We went back in and Jeanie tagged the box for us, set it in her office, and it was there today when we returned with a bigger vehicle. Every single time we needed help, she delivered with a friendly smile. Yay, we are now fans…

This store is a necessary evil, the managerial staff are great, the regular staff: sub-par, mostly lacking customer service skills and misinformed. The selection of the store is decent but, the majority of my requested items via the registry were only available online or spread across different Babies R Us locations. I attempted to purchase items online and pickup in store only to find that their system is corrupt. Their couponing and rewards system is awful, you cannot redeem certain things online, in store, etc. it’s all messed up. I wish there were other baby store options in the area.

I stopped in this afternoon to buy a present for a two year old’s birthday and thought the selection was pretty impressive. I’m a sucker for adorable baby/toddler outfits and appreciated the variety of styles, brands, and price ranges at Babies R Us. And who can say no to 50% off teeny tiny sundresses and tshirts? Good location in Corbins Corner — close to everything!

I seemed to live in Babies R US when I was pregnant and as a new mother. We were registered here. They send lots of coupons and you get sucked into doing your shopping there. You go in to purchase essentials and leave with a bunch of miscellaneous things that you don’t really need. The staff are not particularly helpful. They are dealing with a store full of suckers and probably get asked the same naïve questions a thousand times a day. One day you wake up and realize you will never have to set foot in a Babies R Us ever again and you experience bittersweet relief. It serves its purpose for a certain stage of your life.

Meh. I only go here because I live 10 minutes from here and 45 minutes from Buy Buy Baby in Milford. They use to have really awesome coupon policies, but literally it’s like they were free and loose with thier couple policy to lure people in and now have changed it all. Plus. This is annoying, anything I have bought here always results in store credit. Even when I have a receipt of any kind. That sucks because I would want to return all my items from Babies R Us and take my money elsewhere but I can’t! All in all, they do carry items I need as a new mom — however, as another reviewer stated, it’s all lower end items in store where as you could find a much wider, and more pleasant shopping experience — at Buy Buy Baby. Few other tidbit times. Their mothers room, is disgusting. So is their bathrooms. As a new mom with an infant, it’s pretty gross when there is never any soap in the bathroom, the toilet paper rolls aren’t on the roller but on the floor and the paper towels are usually gone. Mothers room is usually stanky with an overflowing diaper pail. You would think this would be a nice location since it’s in WeHa but the Manchester or Milford locations are much nicer.

Since Babies R Us and BuyBuyBaby seem to hold the monopoly on baby gear, my husband and I trekked to the West Hartford location, assuming it would be the most pleasant experience possible at a big box store, given the location. We were wrong. There were no carts, and when we finally found an employee to ask for a cart, she said she would page someone to get them from the parking lot. After several minutes, this didn’t happen, so my mother-in-law had to go back outside to find one herself. We then approached the registry desk, where one employee was helping a couple, and another employee busied herself with some papers. After several minutes, she finally asked me, «Can I help you with something?» I explained we were starting to think about our registry and did she have any information to help us get started. She sort of looked at me, so I offered, «You know, like a list of what to get, not to get.» She then printed out someone else’s registry! With her name still on it, and the numbers of her desired items. She told me, «Just ignore those numbers.» The store was well-organized so we were able to mill about on our own. Thankfully, we had already made our own list, since the other person’s registry she gave me wasn’t too helpful. In fact, the biggest help were other customers walking around! People chimed in often to tell us which items they liked, what worked, etc. Eventually, in the furniture area, someone actually offered to help us, unsolicited, which we appreciated. In the end, we left the store without buying anything, and confident that we would not register there. In fact, we ordered a baby book and a crib from Amazon when we got home! In general, I dislike the selection in stock, which leads people to register for the lower-end models that they see, as compared to better models only available online. Furthermore, they overprice items that can be found in other stores or on Amazon for much cheaper. I do not recommend shopping here, and will not be registering here. In fact, we plan to register at an independent baby shop, Our Baby Our World, located in Wallingford, and possibly at BuyBuyBaby in Milford, which we have heard is a much more pleasant place to shop.

So I don’t normally come here but had to pick out a gift for my pregnant cousin, When we arrived, the staff was very helpful even though it was 15 minutes till close. They showed us how to use the registry machcine, how to find items and explain the return policy. When checking out, the staff was super nice and would have no problem recommending it to others. Will return if need be…
