The Boatman’s is a great place to eat and drink and be entertained! The menu has a good variety of choices and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is so much«serious» fun. I really like the massive Bön fire and the band that played outside! Everyone is super friendly and it was easy to have a blast!

Great food, drinks and staff! The atmosphere here is top notch! Taco Tuesday, pizza specials, wing night, karaōke and live bands all summer long.

I went to this place based on the reviews thinking that I would have a great time, but I was mistaken! Here is where all the trouble started: 1. Taking our order: We asked our waitress if the lobster roll was any good and she said«I don’t know» and gave a blank stare. OK then, moving on to the next question, we asked what she would recommend and she said«Nothing». What? Really? Nothing at all is any good on this menu??? This is the point where I pondered walking out. Clearly she was not the brightest crayon in the box. 2. Wait time: We ordered a salad, nachos and a grilled chicken sandwich. It took a ridiculously long time for us to get our food and our waitress was no where to be found. But the WORST part was the food: 3. FOOD: The loaded nachos were ordered. The nachos were delivered with onions and melted cheese with a side of sour cream and salsa. I’m sorry, but onions and melted cheese are NOT loaded nachos. On top of that, the cheese was cold and clearly had been sitting in the widow ready for pick for a while and the chips were stale as all hell! The salad was a pathetic excuse for a Caesar salad. There was merely a speckle of cheese on the plate and no croutons. Basically, it was lettuce with some dressing. The chicken sandwich was mediocre at best with a half melted slab of cheese and several servings of barbecue sauce on it. This is by far one of the worst experiences that I have had at any restaurant and I am by no means a picky eater. This may have been the place to go if I wanted to get sloppy Joe drunk and listen to a band, but if you want to eat a good dinner, do yourself a favor and eat at Marshall’s up the road!

perfect? awesome? incredible… how drunk were ya’ll? not to be a negative nancy or anything, but we need some balanced reviews here. this place is completely run of the mill american food. burgers. ribs. nachos. not gross or anything but definitely not«amazing». unless you are wasted like most of the people there. in which case, it probably is. servers are friendly, but service was very slow. we had to even go to the bar to get menus after sitting at our table for 10 minute breakfast«buffet» is four things– pancakes, sausages, eggs, and home fries. c’mon– give people some cereal, fruit and yogurt instead of just meat ns.‘carbs. a plus though– the meal after rafting is definitely nice… but that’s included in the rafting trip. also, the live band was very fun. enjoyed.

Over the last 3 years I’ve been rafting with Three Rivers, there is no way you can avoid The Boatman’s Bar & Grill. But that’s a good thing! The reason… well it’s like this… the Boatman’s is your central nervous system. Everything happens around the Boatman’s. From the morning breakfast, to the rafting check-in and safety lesson, to the excellent meal after your exhilarating trip down the rivers followed by the slide show and video, to the amazingly awesome hollow log fire at night with live music, dancing, Friday Night Karaōke, and so much more! The Boatman’s is great for a meal after a long day of rafting… they have excellent fall off the bone ribs, delicious and juicy burgers, delicious hot wings, and I hear from Bulb that the Bacon Pizza is to die for. The staff work hard here. Not only are they serving you, but some of them are also your raft guides, so be nice! Otherwise if they really want, they could dump you into the river. Hehehe! Drinks are cheap. Bands are always awesome. As Brian S has stated, «Always a good time!». Also, apparently there’s now Wi-Fi, not that you’ll be using the computer any time soon while you’re up there, but just for informational purposes.

This place was GREAT! I went up with Social Boston Sports for a White Water Rafting trip. Everyone was so attentive and the food was great! If you are going rafting or just looking for a great bar, please stop by this place, it is AMAZING!

Perfect. We hit this bar up during our white water rafting trips on the Kennebec at Three Rivers Whitewater. Literally perfect(yes-I’ll say it again). Great food, nice wooden-cabin feel, great bar, great bartenders, plenty of space, seating, and even a dance floor! The bar gets used as the breakfast spot, the sign in area, the after rafting hang out, and the night time party spot. They frequently book live bands to come and play and rock the house. It’s always a good time no matter what purpose you’re in there for. Also, the breakfast buffet is simple, but tasty and cheap. Most importantly, everyone is so friendly and wants to chat you up. This is a must-hit spot, even if you’re not staying at the Three Rivers resort!
