No customer service around. Not taking people in the order they were in line. Looks like penned not Macy. No wonder the store isn’t doing better

This Macy’s is super small and the selection/​brands they carry is only a fraction of what other location Macy’s carry. If you want a bigger selection, take a ride to Woodfield. The shoe dept. I feel is especially small, and the handbag department is tiny. Also, cosmetic counter brands are limited. They have a MAC Cosmetics counter though, which is the only in the area.

Extremely disappointed with the service,? out of the 3 calls I made I was either transferred or hung up on. I asked for a manager or assistant and all I got was a message.
Basically comes down to where is the customer service?
Not eager to shop there anymore.
All I wanted was someone to answer a question for me.

Macy’s use to be a nice place to shop. I made an order online to pick up in store. It was a fine jewelry purchase. Ordering online was easy and I received instructions on when and where to pick up my purchase. I went to fine jewelry and the lady informed me I needed to go to the men’s department.
I go over to the men’s department and the sales associate takes my information and tries to assist. She’s unable to locate the order, then reads «fine jewelry» she walks with me to fine jewelry and explains to the associate.
The associate apologized. I’m not sure why she assumed I was picking something else up, but I don’t want to shop at Macy’s if they continue with this kind of service.

The store is alright the people at cosmetics more specifically Estée Lauder lady was soooo rude. !! I was looking at a fragrance I own and she said I couldn’t touch that because it wasn’t a tester, I told her I don’t want to test it nor spray it I’m just showing my boyfriend this is the one I use. I own one already so why would I want to know how it smells. She kept telling me to go to the other side to grab the tester I repeated again no, and she said I’ll get it for you but you can’t grab that one. Like lady geez !! I said I don’t want to spray it just show it to my bf. so rude then she was talking to another lady and I turned and she rudely said «I WASNT TALKING TO YOU !!» Next time I will call manager to get her attitude check!

Quality of clothes is junk. Service junk. The only time I go to Macy’s is to cut through to the mall. Marshall Fields was way better.

East Dundee, IL
Avoid the fine jewelry department, and you’ll be fine. I overheard one of the ladies in fine jewelry berate a younger employee, and got turned off immediately. Talk about being in the holiday spirit, sheesh! I was going to purchase a necklace for my mother, but I decided to take my business elsewhere.
Other than that, I enjoy this Macy’s. It’s smaller than the one at Woodfield, but they do get stuff from the back for you if you ask.

It’s fine. I was looking for suites and had to go flag down an employee to assist me. That shouldn’t and never seems to be the case at any department store. They tend to be pricey, but you can catch a deal from time to time. The problem with this location is the location… it’s at Ghetto Hill Mall! When McDonalds and JCPenny leave a mall, you know something ain’t right!
