POORAFTERTHESALESERVICE I have experienced very good HVAC dealers and not so good ones. For me, Lozier’s is one of the latter. Why? About 18 months ago, we had a new Lennox furnace and A/C installed in our Des Moines home by Lozier’s. We had no problems with the installation, and our electrician checked their electrical work, which was fine. But after the sale, service was not so good. Just past the warranty(as often happens), the furnace stopped working. Even though the part was under warranty, we were way overcharged for the labor(which included time to get the part, for which we should not have been charged). I called one of the owners, who promised to investigate and get back to me. He totally blew me off and would not return a follow up phone call. A week later, my wife, who has deep roots in Des Moines, called the other owner and got some of our money back. I found another HVAC company that is family owned and an authorized Lennox dealer in Des Moines that has an excellent BBB rating(0 complaints versus a few for Lozier’s). I spoke with them and came away impressed, so we’re taking our business to them. Once we have dealt with them in a repair situation(which, I hope, isn’t for a long long time), I’ll report my experience.

Update– resolved. The brand new leaking furnace was replaced after nearly one year. I had to follow up weekly for months to get it resolved, but in the end we got our faulty furnace replaced and now have a properly working furnace. I understand it was a factory default which caused the problem and not caused by Lozier. However, the resolution on Lozier’s end took way too long and was treated as a nuisance rather than something they were eager/readily willing to resolve. In fact, I had to be firm to get a replacement in order to get it fixed, as it was still under warranty–(barely under warranty by then, time was running out after waiting so long for a response). The leak had caused rust throughout and I was told this would not effect the furnace… I did not want a brand new furnace covered in rust waiting to corrode and have further problems, so they finally agreed and it was finally replaced. I opted for their extended service plan and it has been fine and no furnace problems since. ***Problem after problem from day one. Purchased a new furnace and air conditioning unit about 9 months ago. We were told there was a rebate program with our purchase, totaling over $ 2000 which was a deciding factor for our purchase. Unfortunately, only after several calls and emails over 3 months did we finally get our rebate. Next, our brand new furnace was installed incorrectly and has been damaged and it has been 2 months trying to get it fixed– and same run around scenario. Still not resolved! I have had to call them weekly since we purchased and pry any help out of them. HUGE hassle! For the price(higher than other quotes by $ 4000-$ 5000) I expected better professional, competent service. Save yourself a headache, go elsewhere
