Nosh-A-Rye Deli

Who knew a tuna sandwich could be SO GOOD? Well seasoned, packed with flavor, plus you get a hearty portion. Highly recommended!

I thought I’d give this place a go since they offer free delivery and a crazy good deal on the «breakfast special» (3.99! say whaaa?) That included 2 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon/​saussage, home potatoes and toast with jelly. That’s a full meal for four bucks! The eggs were fine, I like that they don’t add salt or pepper (give it to you on the side) given I have the freedom to add as much or as little as I’d like. The bacon was crispy! The potatoes have improved! It’s a killer deal for a quick meal and they were fast on the delivery. Ordered and received it in 20 mins!

I love Reuben sandwiches but there are not a lot of places to get one in the area. I typed in Deli into my Unilocal and voila, Nosh-​A-​Rye came up. I have lived in the area all my life and was shocked to see that they are celebrating their 25 year anniversary and i had never heard of them. Thank you Unilocal!
I came in for a Reuben, corned beef NO pastrami, and the owner pulls his corned beef out of the fridge and starts slicing some fresh corned beef. The sandwich was delicious and at under $ 7, it is a great bargain. I really enjoyed the pickle too. I am going to have to come back and try some of the other sandwiches they had on the menu like the corned beef and turkey.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE BEST BROWNIES I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE.
My work orders from them and every time they had the brownies at our meetings, i would always have 2 or more if there were any left!
One day I was craving for brownies and not just any brownies… THESE magical brownies!!! I asked where we ordered them from and that same day me and a friend ordered them!!!
Order in advance and they will be ready for you when you pick em up same day!
They are the perfect balance of chewy yet not too soft! Perfect little square pieces of heaven!
The only CON I would say is the place itself… its a little run down and old looking and kinda sketchy cuz it looks like they live there… but hey… their brownies are bomb so whatever!!!
Never tried any other food there and I don’t know if I ever will…
but I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR THEIR BROWNIES!

I really enjoyed the sandwich, the owner and his family were very nice. The décor is old but it gives it character. Everything is made to order and kosher. I recommend trying it once and come to your own conclusion.

Okay yes they need to up date the place. But you can’t beat there breakfast special. I have been coming here for years I have tried other places but I always come back. Order the brownie she makes them fresh and they are YUMMY. People just look past the old décor and enjoy there food.

I tried Nosh-​A-​Rye today for the first time and can’t imagine what all the complaining is about. Yes the décor is old but the pastrami dip sandwich was great! My co-​workers had the corned beef and turkey combo which they enjoyed as well.
We all thought the prices were reasonable and the food was superior to Subway or the other sandwich chains.

I was at Jury duty and several of us met up at Nosh-​A-​Rye Deli. This place is across the street from the WCovina Court house. When we walked in all I could feel was intense heat! No Air Cond! It made me feel a little sick! We sat outside at the little tables. No other customers inside, we were there about 12:15. I ordered a tuna sandwich, others ordered grilled cheese, turkey. Not great at all. The grilled cheese I was told was good. We asked for a few items that they said they had but when we asked they didnt have them at all! Messy inside with clutter, old pictures hanging, just not a friendly, welcome feeling! The place needs an update. Come in to the year 2011… looks as though they have not gotten anything new in 30yrs. It is dingy & dark inside, looks family owned, we were not greeted at all, the service was fast but I would not come back here. They need to refurbish this whole place. The bathroom was filthy. the toilet was so rusted, the floors, the walls, the door… YUCK! W Covina court says they will give you 10 percent off your order if you are on jury duty, thanks, but never again! New York Deli 3 doors down is a better bet!

The deli is old school and is one that has an aged look to it. At 4:00 pm there were no other customers, baked goods cooling on a table in the back of the deli, and stuff on other tables. Ordered corned beef on rye and potato salad. Corned beef was fine, potato salad was fine with meat piled in center & thin at edges, potato
salad was chunks of under cooked potatos with
a slathering of mayo, I had to toss it, the pickle lacked form and crispness. They have been there 24 years aNd have not learned to cook yet.
