Makeup & Hair by Angela Holanda

Submitted my contact information Friday night, no follow up… so I left a message on Saturday hoping for a, possible appointment on Tuesday, ¹²⁄₁₅. Still no return call, or follow up. Very disappointed at the service. However after seeing the review on Unilocal Angela apologized due to the comment she stated below. It is very very sad and unfortunate if that did happen and please accept my condolences. For me, anytime I am not able to return calls, my Unilocal would have been updated to state «closed until x date» and my voicemail would have been updated to notified my clients of such a nature.” Everyday looking at Unilocal,it stated business open and the voicemail greeting gave the impression that the business was open. I never got contacted at all until Angela saw a negative review. Still skeptical but will give her the benefit of the doubt and change my review from 1 to 3 stars as I never used her service yet.

ANGELA HOLANDA IS AMAZING. Not only is she an extremely talented hair AND makeup artist, but she tries her hardest to ensure that her clients are comfortable and satisfied. I was looking for someone who could do both my hair and makeup for prom and I am SO GLAD I happened to find Angela on the internet! She responded so quickly after I first contacted her and she was extremely friendly. On event day I had a vague idea of the type of makeup I wanted but she understood what I meant, and I absolutely loved how it turned out. I showed her what hairstyle I wanted and she styled it perfectly. She didn’t wrap up until she made sure that I was completely satisfied with my look. Not to mention she takes the time to talk to you and get to know you, making it a fun experience because she is hilarious and down-​to-​earth! I received many compliments on my hair & makeup that night, and can’t wait to see her again for my next special occasion. (:

Such an amazing makeup and hair stylist! Real patient understanding and most of all loves what she does! She did my makeup for engagement shoot and I couldn’t be happier with how my photos turned out! I am glad I had the opportunity to book an apt with her! She took her time and really asked me what I wanted! The experience was amazing!

Angela is great! She did my hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids and I couldn’t have been happier. She is not only great at hair and makeup, she listens to what you want and makes it real. For my wedding, I had 2 separate looks (and updo and later down with a finger wave) a challenge that she took on and made happen effortlessly. I recommend her to anyone who needs a great artist who can take you dream look and make it your own.

If I could give her a perfect 10 I would! From the beginning, I knew Angela was going to be my makeup artist. My wedding was 3 weeks ago but I started my search in January. I don’t wear makeup on a daily basis and don’t know how to apply it. I figured it couldn’t be that hard since I want a natural look… I couldn’t be more wrong. I went to at least 5 trials before I my trial with Angela. She was so great! I see why they are called makeup artists. It is trully art that they do. The first 4 made me look like I should be 20 years older. The fifth person was good but I knew I needed to try Angela before I knew for sure. I was so happy I did! Angela is a true artist to her trade. Looking at her website you can see the magic she does!
She did my makeup and did hair and makeup for 3 of my bridesmaids. I asked for feed back and this is what they said:
1 «I think she did an awesome job.»
2 «She was great & super nice!»
3 «Yes, they both did a great job.»
Because it was more than just me, she has an assistant who is great as well.
I would recommend Angela to anyone who asks. She listens to what you want and delivers. Btw, it was a hot and humid day and I still had my makeup at midnight after all that sweating. That’s a good sign. :)

i found Angela after a long tedious search for a make-​up artist. I had a maternity photo shoot and was looking for glam treatment. I didnt quite know exactly what I wanted, but I found a few pictures and Angela was able to create magic! I absolutely loved the air brush application soo much I hired her soon after for my baby shower primping. On both occasions Angela was professional, prompt and provided amazing results! Angela has an amazing personality, I was extremly comfortable in having her in my home. It truly felt like one of my best friends was doing my hair and make-​up. Ive found a lifelong make-​up artist & friend!

Angela was an angel the day of my wedding (2 years ago). Her price was SO reasonable compared to another place I had a makeup trial with. She is so skilled and so amazing, I would totally recommend her! My makeup looked flawless. She listened to me and what kind of look I wanted to achieve. She was very personable and so calming the day of my wedding!!! My one suggestion would be this: Give some sort of workshop, Angela!!! I would love to learn how to improve my day-​to-​day makeup routine. I would TOTALLY pay for a weekday session with you and I’m sure others would, too!

Angela is fantastic! I recently had a bridal trial and was extremely pleased with the results. I shared a few hairstyles that I liked and Angela was able to bring them all together to one that I loved. When she did my make up she kept it very natural looking just like I asked her to, yet at the same time made me look really glamorous! Through this process of planning my wedding I have learned that clear & constant communication with vendors is key. Angela’s communication with me has been outstanding and in addition she is extremely friendly which makes me really confident about her work on my big day. I highly recommend her to you for your future events :)

Angela did an amazing job with hair and make-​up for my daughters prom. My daughter was horrified when she woke up with the biggest pimple of her life and Angela came to the rescue on that too. Not only did she do a fantastic job on her make-​up but she also gave her great tips on how to apply it herself. When she was done, she looked like the picture of elegance! Highly recommend her! She was prompt, professional and caring.

After a long search for bridal hair and makeup artists who were good but not out to get every penny out of a new bride, I found Angela who is amazing both in her work and personality. She listens to what you want and tailors her approach based on what you say you want. I did a trial with her last weekend and it was clear that she wanted me to love how I looked and I loved it. In actuality, I didn’t give her enough time for the hair so she was able to do my hair (just for the look) in 15 minutes! I feel so confident in how I will look now. Why should anyone consider Kelly Zhang or Hanna Choi when they can have Angela!
