Hot Topic

I hate going into this store because it is so tight in there, its always crowded and im sure it’s not to code with the space it needs to be, trust me i know i used to be in retail and made sure it was wheelchair could fit in the area, hot topic would fail this in a second. Make some room in that store!!!

The store itself is clean and well organized. The male working today was welcoming. Friendly even. Then there was the woman on shift. She was rude. She ignored my husband. She rolled her eyes and sighed loudly when my son picked up a keychain to show me. I made sure it was put back properly. When I couldn’t find what I needed I went to ask her for help. (She was closest and he was busy.) I made eye contact and she turned away and quickly almost ran to the back of the store very obviously avoiding eye contact.

If I could rate them a negative, I would. –1 star for their DESPICABLE customer service. Screaming welcome at someone isn’t enough, guys. And if someone calls and asks what time you close, you shouldn’t say 8 and when you customer shows up at 7:10, you’re closed. –2 stars because their store manager should actually have some managerial skills, like handling upset customers for a starter. –2 stars for the hazard they call a store. You’ll spend your time in the store climbing over merchandise on the floor and turning sideways to try not to knock down the clutter thrown on top of racks. If you do parkour, you might get a kick out of this store. If not, watch your step. And –1 star because, sadly, the best way to describe this store to anyone is by calling it the McDonald’s of mall shops. Staffed by rude, ignorant teens and a sloppy product.

Excellent customer service and very helpful when I asked for a certain pop toy. I bought xmas presents there on their Buy 1 get 1 half off the entire store. If you are a Doctor Who fan, there is a good amount of stuff but the prices are a bit too high. Anyhow, I still like this store and I will go back to look for many deals in the future.

I did get some good stuff here and the people were nice, but when I went to Puente Hills they just had better stuff (I think their location is bigger). I got Ariel merchandise (perfume and ring), Supernatural wallet, a Beauty and the Beast pocket mirror and two pins. My total was around $ 45, but I used the $ 10 off $ 40 coupon from the Puente Hills location so my total was about $ 35 and I got $ 15 Hot Cash. My rating is more like a 3.5, but since there’s no half stars I rounded up because overall I had a good experience.

Customer service is always great, employees are always helpful and promoting their sales. Usually have something cool going on like the buy one get one half off band shirts, or the $ 10 off $ 30 purchase, stuff like that. Check the back racks for shirts on sale, Ive found some pretty sick old school punk rock shirts a few times :)

By far the most annoying customer service experience in history. It started out ok… we were greeted when we walked in. When I found a tank I liked, the sales girl helped me find my size. So far, so good.
It was smooth sailing until I got to the cash register. The sales girl was trying to ring me up, when out of nowhere another worker starts trying to upsell me. I understand it’s retail and they are required to try to add more to your sale, but this went beyond that. This guy not only tried to push other items on me, he actually tried to talk me out of the shirt I was buying. I told him repeatedly I wasn’t interested… I just wanted my shirt. At one point, he looked at me and said, «are you serious?» So rude. If I didn’t really love the shirt, I would’ve walked out without buying anything. This guy was a complete jerk. He had no business even interrupting this girl’s sale in the first place. Much less trying to tell me what I should or shouldn’t be purchasing. I’m glad I don’t live anywhere near this store, but I wouldn’t go back even if I did.

tterrible service on multiple occassions, either they don’t give a shit if ur there ot they’re up ur ass about some sale. They play favoritism in their hiring and there’s only one good employee if he wasn’t there this would be by far the worst hot topic ive been to

I have gone back and the workers there don’t seem so desperate to make a sale. Or maybe there were just less workers or more shoppers.

While I wasn’t in here to buy raver pants or a spiked necklace, they did have 2 records that I ended up buying based on a recommendation. It was the oddest place I thought I’d find music I actually liked from Hot Topic that didn’t involve rockabilly or emo bands.
