Great food! Love the fresh handmade tortillas. Salsa is great as well. Prices are good. I go about once a week with my family and have enjoyed many things on the menu. My favorite entrée’s to order are the Huevos Rancheros, Huevos con Nopales, and the Carne Asada plate. The best side is the potatoes with bell peppers. I’m not a coffee drinker but my family members are and they love the fresh café de la hoya which they say is hard to find unless it’s an authentic Mexican restaurant. The only change needed is the training on the relatively new waitresses which is why I rate this place four stars. Only one somewhat older blonde waitress is extremely welcoming and very attentive, and goes out of way to help you enjoy your meal who thankfully shaped my first couple experiences eating there because if I had gotten the other waitresses I wouldn’t have went back. They have repeatedly messed up my order and I have to flag them down practically or else they ignore me or my family when we need anything from silverware, refills, among other things.

I eat Mexican food about three times a week and spotted this new place near my house. The menu is short but has a lot of tasty looking dishes. I tried the verde asada burrito. It was excellent. The meat was perfect and the presentations really nice. I also had a pollo sope. I should have saved that one for my next visit as I was full when I started it. It was very tasty too. The chips are authentic and the salsa is spicy and flavorful. The service was very good too. I’ll definitely return to try something else on the menu. Great find!

My Family is extremely picky and even more critical and judgmental when it comes to Mexican Food(because We’re Mexican) …they raved and raved about how delicious their food is and how they support they family’s other business on the same shopping center… And yes! indeed the food is on point… very savory and lots of flavor. It’s just getting started and I’m sure this is the first of many 5 star reviews they will get in every category. Oh and the service is delightful, I almost thought I might be related due to how friendly and genuine welcoming the service was. I love the fish… but the wet green burrito and shrimp

Came for breakfast and ordered chilaquiles with carne asada. Presentation and attentiveness from the servers was great. Oh did I mention they have hand made Tortillas and café con canela(coffee w/cinnamon). Friendly atmosphere, good service and good food. The restaurant reminds of the small restaurants in East LA. I recommend this restaurant.

I’m giving it 4 stars for the Birria de Chivo that my husband ordered. He said it was the best he had had for a very long time, especially in this area. The handmade tortillas are delicious and we watched the beautiful woman making them! We always judge a Mexican restaurant by the beans and rice, and they were good! We will definately be back to try the other food.

The food has good flavor. The service is terrible. Waited long for the waitress to acknowledge my table and it was pretty much empty. This has happened twice. I feel at times they forget you are there.

We came in the morning but I did not write a review because it was only one plate but we came back the same day in the evening the food is really good here I’m just not giving 5 starsI don’t want to give everything 5 stars but I highly recommend this place. I had the chilaqueles in the morning and The chile relleno and and enchilada taco plate in the afternoon. Both were delicious. My son gad the chile verde plate he said it was good. My wife had the fish ceviche and said it was the freshest she’s had in awhile. Try the chicharron gorditas they were awesome.

Food is delicious especially the menudo. We also tried the chilaquiles and they were really good. The handmade tortillas are just like in Mexico I would definitely return to try some other plates.

This place changed owners or something. Along with it, the service and the food quality. Had Birria de chivo, and was definitely a few notches down from the previous place. My girlfriend ordered steak and eggs(medium and over easy). Steak was overcooked and all fat and the eggs were over well done. Service was terrible. Homemade tortillas were great… fresh squeezed OJ was good, chips and salsa good… beer was cold. Service is terrible here.

I came In here because their sign said they serve birria everyday so I asked the lady if it was goat or beef and she said they have both so we went in there with mixed emotions due to the fact that other Unilocalers have given it bad reviews. I was blown away when I was given my food because it smelled great it was just amazing in taste. My sister got their quesadillas and omg that was delicious as well and it was served very well. My mother got enchiladas which looked good and she said they were excellent. The bill was 34 which was fair and the service was ok considering we were the only ones there her attention was only us will definitely come back in the future :)

On March 14 at 7:45 pm I showed up to this location to try it out for the first time. Unfortunately I cannot post a review regarding their food but I can post a review regarding their hours of operation. Their closing hours that night were at 8pm. So I thought we had enough time to pick up some food to go. We walked up to the counter & we were standing there like for 7 minutes before anyone showed up to assist us. An lady comes out & says«we are already closed». I asked her«Don’t you close at 8pm?» She said in Spanish«yes but we are already cleaning up». So I asked her, «So what time do we have to get here next time to be served?» Lady answered«7:30 pm». I said«Ok but just so you know we were standing here at the cashier for like 7 mins.» We left the restaurant upset & disappointed in the customer service. We decided to never come back again. We feel like cleaning up at a restaurant should be done after you are closed. What is the point of being opened till 8 pm if you are not going to serve food after 7:30pm?!

Normally we love this place but I’m not sure if they r growing to fast or got new cooks. Today’s services was really unsatisfactory. We waited a full ½ for our food, when it was finally brought out our orders were not cooked correctly which we let go because the food is always good but we had a mixture of burning hot items with out right cold items on our plates, the sunny side up eggs were overcooked, the scrambled eggs were a big pile of egg overcooked. My boys ordered burritos, one with ham and one with chorizo. When they were brought out the gentleman actually said I don’t know which is which and they had to pen them up first to check. We ordered a burrito to go which was all wrong. I can go on & on but I hope they get their act together…

Stopped here because of Unilocal reviews. It has a more«South of the Border» feel then most Southern CA Mexican places. Very clean. They did not have chili rellenos the day I was there– my usual first choice. Got the Taco Dorados and got 3 small beef tacos. One was just right but 2 were so overcooked they were like brittle remnants of beef. Perhaps other items on the menu are better. Perhaps there is a type of overcooked tacos I’m not aware of, but haven eaten beef taco for over 50 years now these were the worst I’ve had. The bill was brought pretotalled– not itemized– irritating since I do not tip on the tax, so is good to see pretax total to calculate tip. At bottom of bill it tells you the tip for 15%, 18%, and 20%- except the amounts calculated were on the post tax total(which I think is lying).

Love this place. It’s a small mom&pop place but the food is delicious! I’ve had several dishes here and am always 110% satisfied! Their handmade tortillas are a nice touch and their aguas frescas delish! Never had to wait for service as soon as u walk in u are greeted and seated and the waitress takes ur drink or food order. I’ve been here several times during the week, weekends are busier but service is the same. The menudo is my latest dish and I have to say it’s yummmmy! Will definitely continue to dine here!

I waited for 20 mins before anyone came to the table and it wasn’t even busy. TVs are smaller then the ones they have at a doctors office(LOL) if you ate gonna have TV at a business restaurant DONTBECHEAP. They need trained and organized staff. Managers /owners need to be aware or active in this business at this point, because this could be bad. The coffee and soda machine are exposed to the public. It looks like a fast food restaurant but they are not. Table settings are terrible. I should be a business consultant … The food seems decent,(good job Chef) I’ve eaten here a few times already because I live near by. There are 2 early 20’s girls /waitresses that I give props to, despite of the pressure of clients /me, they were able to keep their heads up and go through the pressure with out loosing composure. This place has good potential but owners they need direction /help from a Pro or another business Owner. I have so much more to say but I will keep it to my self and maybe share it if I return. If I do is because of the food quality. I don’t recommend this place if you want to eat in there. Take out and eating at a near by park or at home will be the better then eating in. That way you don’t expect service…

I had a carne asada burrito and it was delicious. My own father loved the chili rojo burrito and he is extremely picky with Mexican food.

Tasty, clean, with good service. I had the chilaquiles, which came with refried beans and breakfast potatoes. It all tasted really fresh. I also had a lemonade with chia seeds, which was obviously made in house and was really wonderful. It’s fun to watch them make tortillas to order too! Only gripe– too few vegetarian options on the menu.

Very good food and service. Place is very clean but owners have to pay attention to business before it collapses and that will be a shame. Menu is good with nice design. This restaurant can be awesome with just a few details that need to be improved like décor, sound system and forms of advertising. Hopefully they don’t make it too ethnic.
