Bahia Ensenada Grill

This is place is awesome because it’s walking distance from my home! It’s also awesome because they have great food! My go to is the California burrito, a fish taco and horchata! Best combo for me.
The service there is not bad at all, I would call and order ahead of time. It will save you some waiting time. They also have great salsa that’s always fresh. I would say I come here at least once a month, can’t get enough of that CA burrito!

Solid Mexican — Mariscos spot. My first meal here was the #1 tacos combination plate. It comes with 2 tacos rice and beans.
Tacos
I got one carne asada taco and 1 fish taco, they were both really good the carne asada was good texture great taste it had cilantro onions and tomato and cabbage the portions of the carne asada was perfect. If you like a solid carne asada taco it’s a good choice here. I personally would ask for no cabbage next time.
The fish taco was breaded just like most fish tacos and had cilantro tomato cabbage and sour cream sauce. Solid fish taco great taste lots of fish in it not over breaded, My girl got a el pastor taco and I have to say I am very impressed by their el pastor. I don’t ever enjoy pastor at most places I normally have to go to Tijuana for some real pastor but this place has a really good tasty el pastor, if you enjoy pork I would highly recommend it.
Sides
Their beans and rice are solid as well great taste very authentic Mexican you won’t be disappointed.
Salsas
We got some green salsa and red, typical Mexican taco looking salsas, they were both spicy the red is more spicy than the green one but they both had great taste not watered down at all or over spicy.
Drinks
Just got a Coke this time around, solid Coke soda not watered down at all. Free refills on sodas!!!
The cons
My only issue with this place really is the price, there’s new ownership here as I found out, this place was «señor baja» so this might be the case. Portions are great they aren’t stingy but the prices are higher than you would see at most Mexican Mariscos restaurants. But as some would say you get what you pay for and quality of food here is what you are paying for as I would see it.
Experience
Overall my experience here was great, I would definitely come back to try some more stuff on the menu. Next time I come I will try their ceviche or something more Mariscos. If it’s your first time here and you wanna stay on the safe side I would go with their tacos as its a safe solid choice and you can’t go wrong with their fish tacos. Don’t expect over the top service this is more of a order your food and help your self place. I will come back and update my review for my next dish.

My wife and I love this place! Very good and reasonably priced food. Always good customer service and food is prepared in a good amount of time and is always good. The only thing we have tried that we didn’t like were the nachos as they used canned chesse (yuck) not a fan of canned cheese. Other than that the fish tacos are excellent as well as all the others

My wife and I stopped by here on a Saturday evening. We were going to take in a movie and this place is close to the Edwards, Got here about 6:15 and were surprised to find no other customers. The place looked clean and they have plenty of seating. I don’t get the silver streamers that hang down from the ceiling but I guess someone thought it was a good idea. They have a couple of flat screens but the Spanish channel they had showing is lost on me.
You order at a counter at the back of the dining room. They have a large menu board on the wall that you can reference when making your order. My wife ordered one fish (fried) taco, I ordered Combo #3 (two shrimp tacos, rice, beans and a drink).
It took just a few minutes for our order to be ready. They call your number and you go pick it up. My wife really liked her fish taco, This was the first time she tried a fish taco. I liked everything on my combo, I was a bit disappointed that my refried beans were only a little bit warm when I got my plate, Improper food temperatures always concerns me. I have to admit the food tasted good. The shrimp was fried well and was not greasy.
While we were there, they got two more customers, I checked out the restroom and found it a bit scary. Not real clean, graffiti on the walls, some water on the floor and a bit rundown. The parking is adequate.
We will be going back. They have a pretty big menu and I saw a few items that I would like to try.

I enjoy the food here. I love the Chiles hueros and the shrinp plates are good. The fish tacos are what they are popular for. The shrimp plate a la diabla… Is SPICY!

We use to be «regulars». After the last visit we won’t return. Prices have gone up and the food quality went down. We paid $ 9 for a shrimp burrito that had 3 shrimp. To feed my family of 4 (without drinks) my total was $ 43.xx — and we were sadly disappointed not to mention shocked at the increase in price and decrease in quality.

First of all, this place used to be Taco Nazo then Señor Baja and now Bahia Ensenada Grill. I ordered a Carne Asada burrito. The beans were old and tasted as if they were reheated one too many times. The meat was over cooked and flavorless. I opens up the burrito and I was correct. The food looked really old. This is by far one the the best Mexian places in the SGV. There are many near me but I always make the drive out here.
The Al Pastor is to DIE for and the fish tacos are always amazing.
Great portions great prices. Sometimes it takes a while to get your food because they are understaffed; but trust me it’s worth the wait! Would give 6 stars if I could.

Best fried fish and shrimp tacos around! Very clean and friendly. This used to be Señor Baja, Seems like it just went through a name change. The food is still delicious!

Poor service. One cashier said, «May I help you» and then answered the phone and walked away. Another cashier stepped up to the register and every time I asked a question about a food item she rang it up. I was not ordering it just asking about specifics. She even got the drink order wrong. She was simply not listening.

love the free endless amounts of radishes, spicy carrots and jalapenos.
They must hate me because I munch plates of these down while I’m waiting for my tacos.
I put that all over my tacos and it looks more like a salad.
So sloppy… so delicious… so many napkins for my face, hands, shirt, pants, shoes… tee… hee… I’m messy too. But I got some class… I’ll wipe down their table after I’m done.
And a extra large soda… easy ice… because no refills.

Chorizo burrito is the bomb. Rice and beans are good. It’s right by my new shop. So I will be eating here everyday for the foreseeable future.

Food was ok not sure what happened to this place it used to be good, I guess it’s not Baja fresh anymore and u can see the difference in customer service. Oh and just FYI of u ask for a refill on your drink they will charge you a dollar! I paid about 1.55 for my drink so basically no REFILLS! :/

Been here a couple times now. The restaurant is clean and staff is friendly and professional and there’s always a good amount of diners. My BF and I have tried the beef taquitos lunch combo and chicken taco lunch combo (they came with Mexican rice and beans) during lunch one day. And then tried the California burritos (it has avocado, French fries, cheese, meat, beans) and carne Asada fries for dinner another time. I must say everything is made to order and they use fresh ingredients. The food is really tasty. This is my new go to Mexican restaurant.

Walked in with my boyfriend and we were both equally surprised at how nice it is inside! Usually joints like this aren’t all that clean and spacious but this one definitely was.
We ordered 2 fish tacos ($ 1.89 ea), an Asada burrito ($ 5.99) to share with a large Horchata. The fish tacos were so good. The size of the fish they give you is ridiculously huge! It was literally the same size as the tortilla! Fried and cooked to perfection; the fish tacos are delicious here. Hands down, my new favorite spot for fish tacos but too bad it’s so damn far from where we live! (Luckily I found a closer location!) The Asada burrito on the other hand, was not so great. It was really dry and ¾ of the burrito was just beans and rice.
FORGET EVERYTHING ELSE, JUST ORDER THE FISH TACOS!
**Don’t forget to ask for the roasted yellow peppers as they have them in the kichen and not at the self serve condiments bar. The peppers are SO DAMN GOOD and spicy! Definitely adds a kick to your meal.
