A-1 Auto Expert

So my girlfriend was had services for her vehicle done twice over a one week period (unrelated repairs) and both experiences were extremely pleasant.
The first repair was so her vehicle would pass the smog check. We had taken it elsewhere for the smog check and they quoted her for almost $ 1,200 to get it repaired and able to pass. We took it The gentlemen over at A-​1 and got it repaired and smog checked for more than 30% less than that. They did quality work in a reasonable period of time .
The second repair came when an idler pulley broke and destroyed the serpentine belt. We unfortunately had to take it the nearby Firestone since they were the closest place open on a Sunday. Now I actually did my research on this repair and saw that only one belt would need to be replaced and an idler pulley, and should only take about an hour to repair. Firestone called my girlfriend and told her it was two belts and a pulley and an hour and a half of labor, I checked for prices for the parts and they were quoting her 3 times that amount and $ 120 for labor… we passed on that and took it to A-​1 .
Yet again they did the repairs and this time it was almost half the cost of what Firestone quoted and it was indeed only the one belt and pulley that needed to be replaced.
Bottom line is this, these are our guys now. They are honest, very reasonably priced, and get the work done quickly.
My girlfriend and I will only be taking our vehicles to these guys from now on!

I have been coming here from 2010 for an every 2-​years smog check and a timing belt n compressor change before until now. The owners n the workers here are nice and professional. The prices are good honest price n they’re good honest people. The owner seems very knowledgeable n he fixed my a/​c problem with the compressor before.
I really recommended this place to everybody that is still looking for that one mechanic place that they can trust.

False advertisement!
I passed by this shop with sign saying «We Accept All Smog Check Coupons 626−965−6554» about one week ago (~10/​21/​2013). I stopped by chatting with the owner. He told me to bring in any smog check coupon and he would accept it.
When I brought back a few coupons on 10/​28/​2013, he started calling those shops for verification. The first one in Fullerton did not answer. The 2^nd one in Whittier did answer and verified the price on the coupon. But then the owner refused to accept the coupon saying the price is too low. I told him to take down his sign, if he is not willing to accept coupon, but he refused.
It is a completely false advertisement to seduce customers in and waste customers’ time to verify coupon prices then decline to accept them.
BTW, I finally had my smog check done in the Whittier location at the coupon price last weekend.

Good honest people who work hard.
I have been going to Auto Experts for years now. At first I wasn’t too sure about the place since it is so small and attached to an AM/​PM, but after changing my brakes there and dealing with them first hand, I am glad I went there.
Good prices and quick service!
It is hard to find a GOOD and HONEST MECHANIC. These are those guys!
