Excellent meal with great service. I had chori Pollo. Our server suggested it since I told him I like chorizo. My wife’s Tamale and burrito was very good.

We come here to sit at bar and have a few margaritas and Dos Equis. The bar was not a comfortable place to sit due to it being way to high for the low chairs they had. We asked to move to a table preferably in the back, not the front but they chose to sit us up front anyways. We initially only wanted to drink a few drinks and leave. I had the margarita which came with no alcohol. All i tasted was mix. 2 of us decided to order and the third ordered a beer. The food came out 10 minutes later no problem but we still didn’t have the beer. Bad margarita and now a 10 minute beer wait. You could have sold me 2 margaritas or more vs less. Food on the other hand was great but damn. Totally failed at the bar. A second customer came up and said the same thing about her margarita. I’m glad there are more than one location.

This is EXACTLY what you are looking for when you are looking for good cheap Mexican. Great food, excellent service… and really nice happy hour specials.

Our go-​to Mexican restaurant! Everything we’ve ordered has always been good– even though I stick with the same thing, my husband has tried a lot of different things. The food is always quick, and the service is friendly. We would definitely recommend when you’re craving Mexican!

The best Mexican restaurant in the Columbia/​West Columbia area, and probably in Lexington and Richland County combined. I have been going since they opened. They not only bring out salsa, but they bring out pico de gallo! It’s always fresh, too! The food is served very quickly, always hot and good. This place is also the cleanest Mexican restaurant I ever visited. The people are cool, great servers, and they always have the TV on. Check them out!

Not the worst and not the best. Went in this evening. Service was not great and seemed like it took a lot longer than usual to get food out.

Standard San Jose food, but they also have a few extras. They throw in free pico!!! Also the chorizo quesadilla is TDF! I always have great service, everyone is friendly, and they usually recognize me when I see them in other places as well. Pretty extensive drink selection too.

New favorite Mexican restaurant! Just had a fantastic meal (carnitas) sitting outside with my boyfriend. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals (think he got the chicken quesadillas) and beers (Dos Equis-​been forever since we’ve had those) and the outside late-​evening setting was perfect. Love love love. Service and server were on point. All around great experience. We’ll obviously be back.
Also I’m not sure Jimmy knows how reviews work– but I think he meant to give 5 stars, not 1.

Excellent service and very good food. Happened to find this place on Unilocal.If I hadn’t been looking around I would not have seen it off the main road. Definitely worth the trip!

I’m one of the only people on earth I know who isn’t huge Mexican food fan. I’ve eaten at several San Jose’s in Columbia, but this one is better than the others. This is also the only Mexican place I ever crave and want to go to. It is small, and can be warm inside at times. They give you pico de gallo as well as salsa which is awesome. CHORIZO QUESADILLA! It is awesome. This place made me more of a fan of Mexican food and of chorizo.

The food is always good and the service is fast and everyone is friendly and helpful. I love their deck. The vegetarian quesadilla and pico are delicious. Om nom always. It feels like comfort food.

Your average run of the mill mexican restaurant. Not bad but not great either. I actually have quite a few local mexican restaurants that I prefer over this.

I was calling in for a simple request to see if by chance they could fax a menu over to my job. I then asked if there was a website where I could preview the menu online before driving over there for lunch. I called and they said they could not fax a menu, did not have a website and did not have one we could pick up at the restaurant. I then asked to speak to a manager because this guy was rude! Guess what? He hung the phone up. I work in customer service and if I were to treat a guest like that I would be looking for a job. Terrible customer service but I’ll give the restaurant and food a shot. Please find people who can give decent customer service without it being an inconvenience or a problem for that person.

Good stuff! I went here for the first time and really enjoyed my experience. The service was great, the food was really good and I love the décor inside and out. They give you fresh pico de gallo and salsa when you are seated. It was great! I ordered a steak, pepper and cheese quesadilla. The peppers were fresh, the steak was flavorful. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes Mexican food.

Food is typical copy and past from other San Jose Mexican restaurants. Overall better than the other San Joses in Columbia. Service is excellent. Wait can be a bit long at time, but it is a small restaurant. But parking is a nightmare, on more than one occasion we have had to park at the shopping center next door.
