Riverbanks Bar & Grill

Sat at the bar for five minutes while the staff ignored me, then told me to please be patient while they finished doing nothing. I do not like this airport.

This is an alright place of you’re stuck in the Columbia airport, then again your choices are highly limited. The service is alright, usually prompt. But they are just as quick to steal away your glass if they think you’re heading out.
The wine selection is poor. Don’t expect anything better than a low end trader joes wine. The beer selection is somewhat better. They have a local beer, Sam Adams seasonal, and the usual suspects on tap. The liquor selection is that of a drive bar, maybe slightly better.
The food is… Well it’s edible, better than McDonald’s for the main courses, but you’ll prefer the McDonald’s fries. I had the black bean burger and onion rings once. I had the fries add a snack the other time. The burger was a special.
In sum, I wouldn’t look forward to eating here, but if you happen to be stuck at this airport, you won’t go hungry though you may not be overwhelmed by the quality of the food or adult beverages.

Just your basic run of the mill airport bar. Nothing special on tap or on the menu food wise, but nonetheless a good place to grab a beer and wait on that flight. I will say on this day, there was some sort of weird spat going on amongst the servers that seemed to be decently personal, but that made awkwardly public by their loud arguing and complaining to each other behind and beside the bar. Not that you have a lot of choices in the Columbia airport, but I would swing back in for a beer if back at CAE.

So this was a great little spot that I was able to grab a beer while waiting on a flight. They are not fancy but it was great little spot. The food was not memorable but like many places in airports.

Mostly a bar, but they must serve food here, too. I just ordered a beer, which I promptly slammed before my flight took off. The beers on tap aren’t fancy, mostly just the regular domestics you’d expect at an airport. Friendly staff here, however.
