I went to the VW dealer and they quoted me $ 2000 to repair my transmission. Jeff was able to accurately isolate the issue to a solenoid and the total coat to replace it was $ 477. I would recommend WC Transmissions highly. Unless you want to pay for the glitz and glamour of a dealer.
