Wag Your Tail

if you have a dog in west chester, this is a great place for you! well behaved dogs are welcome, and often given treats. when we take pepper for walks down town in the spring/​summer it’s always nice to stop by, and use the communal puppy water bowl.
they have great treats, sweaters, and collars/​leashes for the little one…

Wag Your Tail is a cute little shop, fussy. but not too fussy. with a modest, high-​class selection of wares for pets and pet lovers alike: treats, toys, leashes, collars, clothes, trinkets etc. The store mostly caters to dogs, but there’s a (very) small section of goodies & toys for kitties, to which I usually make a beeline. I think my spoiled pussycats have one of every cat toy they sell here, and they’ve all been hits in the Q household.
The proprietress is rather WASPy but really very nice and devoted to animals; she usually hosts a shelter cat in-​store, and is very involved in the area’s pet adoption/​care scene.
If you do so wish, you can bring well-​behaved pups in for free treats and squeals of delight that they will no doubt incite.
Price-​wise, the place makes no bones about being an upscale pet boutique, and the tags read accordingly. But it’s not gross over-​gouging. I like the shop, and my cats like that I like the shop.
