This is the best course I have played here in the tri-state area. It tips out at close to 6900 yards and offers a plethora of varied tee shots and very well designed holes using a couple creeks that meander the property to make you think twice about that tee shot. Gone practice green is on very good condition and a great place to practice. The chipping area was very large and offered a few pins to play to as well as a few bunkers to practice from. The range balls provided are strata super softs which don’t check but do offer a pleasant feel. The range, while the tees are nice, there’s really nothing but a few flags to hit at all in the basic vicinity of each other, a course like this should have a few baskets, more targets and a ladder drill for sure! This course has immaculate playing conditions, the greens are superb and currently rolling close to a 12. These are very undulating greens so missing in the right spot is a must, don’t go long! They are a gem to putt on. Tees, fairways and rough are all in very good condition with well maintained tee areas and evenly mown rough throughout, maybe 2 ¾″ throughout the entire course. Bunkers are a little thin and full of a dirt/sand combo which isn’t bad as it is consistent throughout the entire course. Keep a look out for rocks however as some can be quote large in here, a bunker restoration is probably in order as there shouldn’t be this many in any bunker let alone all of them. You will face blind uphill and downhill tee shots, dog legs going both directions as well as up and down hills, a couple of go for it tee shots, as well as some where you really need to be accurate, medium to long long par 3’s to test your long game and many challenging lies await your 2nd and 3rd shots! A real fun test! 18 is a fabulous finish at 450 uphill to a fairway heading left sloping left to right, great way to finish a great course! Now, my only issue, how do I get invited to be a member…

This review is a year late, because I didn’t realize it was in the«review» stage. My little sister got married here and faced a nightmare scenario. The venue lied about only having one wedding per day and didn’t tell her that they double-booked until days before the wedding. They were unapologetic, and didn’t have enough parking for even one of the weddings and made no arrangements to accommodate. Because of the mixup, she was not able to take pictures in front of the main building she wanted to use because that’s where the other reception was being held. When asked about the dessert station that was detailed in the contract, my sister was told THREEDAYS before the wedding that they would have to «check and see if the chef even knows how to make one of those». As a result, one of her guests had to step in as her day-of coordinator to shield her from the chaos. Unacceptable!

This review is not for the Country Club. It’s for the club’s Pro, Lori Van Sickle. I’m new to the game and asked my more experienced neighbor for a suggestion regarding where to go for lessons. Lori was highly recommended. I’ve taken a few individual lessons and a few group clinics with Lori now. I’ve enjoyed both methods. She is fantastic to work with. She’s knowledgeable, encouraging and has a great sense of humor!
