I recently had Mohs surgery at Main Line Dermatology. The Mohs specialist did great work given how deep the cancer had grown near my eye but the front office staff simply makes you feel like a policy number. The experience I have had with their secretary in the West Chester office has been so bad that I’m already looking for a new dermatologist. Keep in mind I just had surgery and I haven’t even had a follow up with my Mohs specialist at Main Line yet. It’s been that bad of an experience where I just don’t want to go back. After receiving surgery they seemed to have moved onto the next client and my specialist is now too busy to speak with me since she just got back from vacation and is really busy. I really wish I could tell my clients that… Given the type of surgery I just had that is simply inexcusable. Currently I cannot even refill a prescription to help with my facial scarring. I have called numerous times and have been on hold on for over thirty minutes still with no success in speaking with anyone who knows about dermatology or my recent surgery. This is a really scary surgery for anyone and its important to note Main Line Dermatology treated it as just another Mohs surgery and I was certainly left feeling like a policy number rather than a person. Please reevaluate your decision to go to their offices. There are much better choices in the area that understand the importance of bedside manner. DONOTGOTOMAINLINEDERMATOLOGY.

The staff and doctors at Main Line Dermatology are wonderful. Dr. Manion is caring and compassionate to all of his patients. He has removed suspicious moles from my husband and daughter and we have had no adverse effects. Dr. Barak has been my doctor for years and has done a masterful job removing a benign tutor from my leg related from a childhood dog bite. I enjoy going to this office and have always been treated well. As a biologist I am very picky about my family’s medical care and this practice is the best.

Two things about this Dr. and this office. They moved the office in West Chester about a year ago from Boot Road to this address listed here at Wrights Lane. They never told me this when I first called for an appointment and also when they called the day before to confirm the appointment. If you look up how to get there using or any search engine on the web. it lists them on Boot Road, so I spent 40 mins driving around the old location which is in this complex looking for the office. When I finally called and found it 40 mins later I told them they should not have the address listed at the old Boot Road location. The Dr. says to me, we don’t have a website, its not my problem if they still list the old address. It is his problem if we are paying to come see him and use his practice. Why not direct your staff to tell patients to be sure to go to our new location on Wrights Ln. The staff even said,” Oh really sorry you got lost, this has been an issue for a long time now and we have had many people going to the old office location”. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist or a Dermatologist to see that this is an issue. If people are still going to the old location that you have been located at for years its an issue. That was the first problem with this Dr. and his staff. So I finally get in to see the Dr. and to have a cyst on the back of my neck looked at, the Dr. looks at it then says, I am going to stick you with a needle then does so, then before I know it cuts something off it off then says, do you feel any pain. Well yeah I just got stuck without really being prepared for it. Then he says I am putting some heat on it. Not sure what he was doing I can’t see behind me. Before I knew it he says, ok you are good to go. It should heal in a few days and if not get this prescription. I asked him what did he inject and what it was. He used medical terminology and said I should be fine. I still don’t really know what he did or what he meant what he called it. I am not even sure what the prescription is for, I guess I will have to look it up myself. I even asked what is this heat he was talking about. He said it was heat. Heat like what? Laser, a torch or hot match? He just said, «Heat». This Dr. seems very arrogant and disinterested in his patients. Sorry I was late being lost since all websites listed on the web list your office on Boot Road. So if you come late here be prepared for a 5 min meeting with the Dr. and have him do stuff behind you and not know exactly what is being done. I need to find a new Dermatologist. Any good ones in the area?
