Firstly, I have to give commend our waiter, Alexandro. Very professional and service oriented. I am big on customer service which can make or ruin a business. So 5 starts for customer service. The food was good. The salsa is delicious and I couldn’t get enough of it. The chips tasted like store bought but I won’t ding them for that. again good customer service and now good salsa. The menu is massive and be warned the servings are big! I love fish tacos and was disappointed not to find it on the menu. I order a combo plate #14 which consisted of beef taco, chile relleno, and a chalupa. There was nothing extraordinary about my dish but nonetheless good. My husband ordered the Quesadilla Grande with chicken and it was huge. It came with a bed of lettuce and rice. My husband’s review of his dish was it was pretty good. I tasted the rice and it was quite good. Overall, the food was good, customer service extraordinary so I would definitely come back.

Came here for lunch. Had the jalepeno poppers which were decidedly average. The chicken quesadilla was good but nothing special either. A bit overpriced for the quality.

I was able to eat here last night with some friends. The place was very clean and the server was friendly. We ordered mostly quesadillas and while they tasted really good, the shells were quite mushy and you couldn’t actually pick up the pieces to eat them. Our other friend got the fajitas in the pineapple. That looked fantastic and was a huge portion of food. Overall, it was an ok experience. I wasn’t overly wowed by it, but it was tasty and made good leftovers today. Not sure if go back on my own but glad I tried it.

I’m not the type to review a place but I had to for this. We asked our server to split our check between two cards, he shook his head at us and walked away. He came back, said nothing, and had put 10 dollars on one card and the rest of the other. I’ve never been treated so rudely by a server. The food is good and cheap but this is by far the worst service I’ve ever had.

Went here again, the waiter we had was some kid who just wasn’t good, we didnt want cheese on our dish and when we told him we asked for no cheese he just shrugged, didn’t offer to take it back, he had an attitude, do yourself a favor and fire that kid

Is this the best Mexican place? No Is it great to be able to bring your own tequila? Yes Is the margarita mix good? No, it’s awful. Does it meet acceptable criteria for an affordable place to have dinner and plenty of drinks with your significant other? Yes. If you want to pretend you’re some sort of MexiCali aficionado, then don’t come here. If you want to get full and drink and stop feeding this pretentious West Chester food culture, then this is your spot!

This place is awful. Went in and no one greeted us at the door. We had to get our own menus from the back of the store. We ordered a platter to share and when the guy took our order he turned his nose up and made noises like he was pissed off that we were sharing a plate, and walked away. Then when he brought us our food he dropped it off at the table and walked away. He didnt ask us if we needed anything else. We got our food and there was a bug in the burrito and when i confronted the server about it he did not care and gave us our bill anyway. NEVEREATHERE!!!

We arrived shortly after noon on Labor Day. At the time there was only one server and he was swamped. Most tables hadn’t been wiped down properly. More help came soon, and the service then actually went pretty smoothly. I had the Lunch Special Burrito with beef tips. It was delicious. My wife tried her standard go-to, a chicken quesadilla. It was stuffed with shredded chicken with lots of taste and moistness. Again, a winner. We found that the chips had a bit of a strange flavor, but not too bad. The menu is huge, and if you like Mexican food, you’re guaranteed to find something tempting. The things we ordered were well prepared and tasty.

Nice laid back Mexican spot in town. Service can be slow when they are busy, but it’s a BYOB so i never mind sitting outside and having a few on a nice night right in the heart of WC. The menu is like a maze to navigate, but the food and friendly service is always solid. I recommend getting at lease one chile relleno, my favorite thing on the menu!

Stopped in here for dinner with a friend. There was plenty of seating available, inside and outside. We sat outside and waited. And waited. For about 10 – 15 minutes(even after telling a waiter that we had just sat down about 5 minutes into the wait). No biggie, we eventually did order and the waiter seemed friendly. After another 45 minute wait(with no check in by the waiter to get more water) we were brought the food. Definitely not the best in the area, didn’t finish most of my dish. Waiting for about another 30 – 45 minutes before the waiter came back and we managed to ask for the check before he rushed away again. He rolled his eyes when we asked for the check, and barely spoke a word to us when he put down the check, laughing to himself and rolling his eyes again. Was very weird, not sure if it was about us or if something was on his mind, but definitely kind of an odd interaction. Overall, it’s in a nice location with nice seating. Food and waitstaff leave a lot to be desired though, won’t be visiting again.

I wanted to give them one star but there food was reasonable tasting. I was so disappointed with my experience because my waiter was so incredibly horrible. If I asked for anything, he rolled his eyes and became angry. My friend and I were so confused by this. Never have I ever had such an experience at a restaurant. Normally, waiters are happy and eager to help. We asked if the bill could be split at the end and the waiter said nothing and shook his head. My friend and I looked at each other and were just like what just happened? The waiter then came back without the bill split. He wrote an estimate in scribble as to what the split might be which ended up being off. Maybe they have some nice waiters and this guy was fired but I have no plans to ever come back to find out.

I got the nachos. Cheese was not even melted and congealing on my plate. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. I don’t even think I can eat dairy for at least a month.

I wandered into La Bamba around 2 pm on a Monday. The place was quiet. A server came out and brought me a beverage immediately. He was patient while I reviewed the large menu. I have a lot of dietary restrictions, but I can usually find something to eat at a Mexican restaurant. I asked for a couple changes to the dish I ordered and that was completed correctly. I ordered chicken fajitas with corn tortillas. The fajitas ingredients arrived quickly in an iron skillet and the juices were still bubbling. The corn tortillas were standard fare(not hand made) but they were hot and plentiful. On the side were shredded lettuce, tomato, and guacamole. There was also a large serving of refried pinto beans. The flavors in the fajita mixture were quite nice, not too spicy, not bland. Throughout the meal the server discreetly checked to see if I needed anything more. I could only finish half the fajitas mixture, so he packed the remainder in a sturdy to-go dish. His service was excellent.

Best Mexican in West Chester hands down. Staff is always super nice, the food is delicious and CONSISTANT in both quality and taste, and they are super fast on delivery. Added two tvs and you can watch the Fightins live! So good. They will work with all diet restrictions(I’m vegan) gladly. BYOB makes it a cheap date and they provide the ice for the beer ;)

La Bamba for me is a great spot for a quick sit down lunch when in the mood for Mexican, which recently has been quite often. What can I say, I love sour cream! They have plenty of options on their menu with all of the traditional Mexican basics. I usually go for the fried chimichanga(with either steak or chicken). It never disappoints and the portion size is suitable for lunch. The accompanying sides of rice and beans are just fair. What really draws me in here, is the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is outstanding and rarely goes unfinished. The inside décor is very colorful. They have both booths and tables. I usually grab a booth, they are comfortable and feature some unique art on the raised arches that outline the headboards of the seats, adding some privacy as well. Telemundo is always on the TV and they always have some upbeat music being played through their sound system. Outside seating is also available along the always vibrant street. Though I never have, this establishment is a BYOB. They also have a fine selection Jarritos Mexican soda. I can usually get out of here spending less than $ 10 and within thirty minutes.

This place is a very sorry excuse for a Mexican restaurant. Let’s start with the fact that they need to update their information as we have attended on a Sunday and they were listed as closed. The menu was unimpressive with descriptions turning me off rather than enticing me to eat. I was with a group of four, one of which ordered a vegetarian taco salad. When her salad arrived, it had shrimp in it so we sent it back. While everyone else ordered something else and it arrived, her sent back salad arrived when everyone was almost finished. As for my order, I kept it simple with a chicken salad and cheese quesadilla. The chicken in my salad was pounded thin to no tomorrow, dry and overcooked. My quesadilla was a very sad quesadilla with what looked like shredded processed American cheese and something that a toddler can make. I would even have to say I would rather eat Taco Bells quesadilla over this sorry excuse. I’ve been traveling in PA, trying all sorta of noms and am so disappointed and rather ill that I ate at this place. It should also be mentioned that this place is a byob and located in a college town which is why I believe is the only reason they are still in business because one would have to be drunk off their arse to swallow down what was served to us.

My 2 friends and I decided to eat here while we were attending«Swingin’ Summer Thursdays» this past week. The weather was great and wanted to eat outside. This place had a few spots open so we sat ourselves. We were given menus…10min later… the server came and took our order…10min later… we got salsa/chips…10min later… our drinks…20min later our food. Seeing the pattern here? Alright there were a few large groups of people with us outside but very few people sitting inside. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, my friend ordered Chicken Nachos, and my other friend ordered a steak quesadilla. Ours weren’t even cut. It was a tortilla that had been stuffed and cooked. I couldn’t even pick it up without use of my fork bc it was so floppy. I was thankful for the sourcream/guac and rice that came with it to assist with the flavor. The food was ok but I would’ve preferred Mas a few blocks away. At least Mas has better service, food, drinks, and even a functioning website. We eventually got our check and left. I don’t know if I’ll be back. I wasn’t really that impressed.

I have been to this restaurant twice and both times the food was delish! Now the reasoning between the 3 stars… The first visit was amazing. Great service and great food. Both times I have gotten the green enchiladas with both bean and cheese enchiladas. Refills were always available and we only ran out of chips once. The second time however was different. Our drinks were on empty and our waiter didn’t come back for quite some time. Everyone’s food came out in a timely manner, except for mine. It came out 10 – 15 minutes after everyone else’s with a small apology. When we got our check we had it sitting at the edge of the table for quite some time and it took half of our party getting up for them to come finally charge our card. This place has great food, but I would recommend going during non-peak hours. I LOVE their green enchiladas!

La Bamba is a great West Chester establishment. The food is very good and consistently consistent! The interior of the restaurant is very inviting but I am a member of the«lets sit outside» trend and often pick to sit outside and enjoy the sights and sounds of downtown Dub-C. Great place for date night with the wife or for a quick meal with the whole family. I love the Chips and Salsa. My go to is the enchilada’s. I get the beef often, but after my daughters got the chicken and after trying it I may be converted. The menu is extensive and has many offerings. The BYOB while not important to me seems to be very popular among my fellow diners. The staff is always friendly and service is good. Great Mexican food, great price, great place.

I absolutely love it here. There’s always seating and it’s BYOB. The menu options are endless and the food service is quick. You get chips and salsa when you sit down which are delicious. It’s very authentic in feel and the food does not disappoint me. It’s also very affordable.
