After a great night of balancing pencils on our heads, my girlfriend and I realized we had forgotten to eat. I had a craving for dumplings, and she needed vegetables to steady her balance. Wonton soup does not equal chicken broth + mop bucket water + dumplings. There should be some god damned green onion in there. Salt? Pepper? NOPE. The dumplings must have been wrapped in paper towels and microwaved. I do have to give it to them though; a new skin grafting material may have been discovered. The fried dumplings are why skin grafting was on my mind. Was a fryer involved? No. More likely a chemical burn from the mop bucket water being added to the wonton soup. Steamed vegetables? More like steamed trash. You know when you leave the broccoli in the bottom drawer and it goes limp after a few days? These were steamed play-doh vegetables. My fortune was slightly redeeming: «A golden egg of opportunity lands in your lap this month.» I hope that wasn’t referring to the egg roll I had. Because that was more like a golden pile of shit.

After my order tonight, I will NEVEREVEREVEREVER order from this place again. It started off with an excessive wait time for deliver, over an hour. I called a couple times and was told my delivery was on the way(mind you already waiting 55 minutes), only to the delivery driver calling me 25 minutes later stating he was here and Im not that far away while here at work. The driver shows up, gives me my receipt with the balance not equaling what I was originally told and said I was not paying more then what I was originally given and showed him my emailed copy of my receipt. He only could say, Im just the driver… then proceeds to tell me, he’s taking my order back and banning me from ever ordering there again. To put the icing on the cake, I ask the driver to stop and wait… he proceeds to try and hit me by reversing his car nearly striking me and then tries to get into my car, that I already have locked and have the windows up. Yea, definitely no longer a fan… after I thought they were better then No. 1 China.

June 16, 2015: King Wok was good at one time, but recently went WAY downhill. Everything is tasteless, scant and often overcooked like the burned eggrolls we recently got. Also, two days ago, I paid extra for white meat General Tsao’s chicken and it had ZERO chicken in the huge lumps of dough!!! I brought it back and the owner argued with me that there was chicken in it, would not give my money back and was nasty to me. Won’t be going there anymore.

I ordered using Grubhub because it had 5 star rating. Well it’s not worth 3 stars. The food was below standard. I ordered the crab rangoon — no crab, a small amount of cream cheese filling and they were old, I guess ordering after 7:00 pm on Sunday mean you get old fried items. The entrée was flavorless and if I wanted to add some taste, I was forced to look in the spare condiments collection. They only put three soy sauce packets in the bag… no hot mustard or duck sauce. My main complaint was the delivery person, he didn’t use the instructions provided for delivery. He didn’t call when he arrived, instead he stood outside for 20 minutes, pushing buttons that don’t work. When the driver(not same person) called me he said they were outside for 20 minutes… I went down and the delivery person a) blamed me for his standing around for 20 minutes; b) said he called and my phone didn’t work and c) told me how much I needed to tip him. which made me pull back the tip I came downstairs with. I won’t be ordering from them again, the food is mediocre and customer service is lacking. Wasted $ 20.25, better off eating cereal.

Ordered from them on GrubHub because they had a 4.5 out of 5 star rating. Do not understand why, this was possibly the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. We ordered both steamed and fried dumplings, they were thick and doughy and barely cooked. BBQ spare ribs were dry and tough. There was no plum sauce with the mu shu pork. And to add insult to injury, their projected hour delivery time turned into 1 ½ hours. Will not be ordering from them again.

Something fishy going on with the bad reviews. This place is the best in this entire area. The Egg Foo Yung, Lo Mein, Dumplings, spring rolls, egg rolls, beef fried rice and Won Ton soup are fantastic! There are 3 Chinese restaurants closer to us than King Wok, and we still always order & pick up from here. The price is better & so is the food. They got voted best of and that’s why we tried it the first time. It’s been consistently good ever since.

This was possibly the worst Chinese food we have ever eaten. We ordered sweet-and-sour chicken, and what they gave us was small deep-fried pieces of chicken that were 20% chicken and 80% dry filling and breading. No sauce of any kind. We ordered fried rice and got plain rice. We ordered cashew chicken and got a dry, tasteless mess of weird chicken and vegetables. No condiments of any sort. When we called to tell them our order was wrong(we ordered take-away), we got no understanding or acknowledgement. They finally did suggest we come back in for a new dish(at 8:30 p.m. when we had just sat down to eat a relaxed dinner after kids went to bed). The food and service were appalling, and we will certainly never go back, even though it’s the closest Chinese restaurant to our house!
