Great Craft Works

This may be a nice store in person, but as far as an online retailer (or wholesaler), not so much. I placed an order online, got an email 2 days later that my order had been received, and it took a week before they even shipped it. When it apparently went to Puerto Rico (on its way to Colorado) and hadn’t arrived after a week (2 day shipping), I inquired with the USPS and was told I couldn’t track it as I wasn’t the shipper. When I contacted GCW, I got unhelpful responses essentially saying, «it shipped, we’re no longer responsible». I’m still waiting for the package to leave PR, and have no idea when I’ll get it. The person at Great Craft Works doesn’t give me a name, any suggestions for getting the product to me sooner (and having me return the original package whenever it arrives), and isn’t even friendly or sympathetic to my issue. I was going to set up a wholesale account with them for my business, but now I won’t given the poor communication and customer support.
To follow up: I got an email this morning from «Stan» today saying:
«If you read our shipping and ordering information page. We always take about a week to ship. We are set up to handle the bigger accounts like stores and designers which allow for great shipping times. You may be happier with Amazon or your local bead shop.
If you’re a small business or an individual, don’t expect to be treated well by this company.

A nice little store with everything you would want to make or string beads. Beads have become very popular in the past few years. There’s been a whole cottage industry grow up to service the people who need supplies. This quaint store is run by a knowledgeable man who can tell you anything you want to know about beads.
