Elon Salon

Unfortunately I have to give one star.
I went to this place for a gel manicure, and my experience was not pleasant.
It seemed that the girl who did my manicure never learned how to do it in a proper way.
Instead of preparing my nails and cuticles for a gel color, she right away applied gel on my nails which was very unprofessional.
Of course I didn’t not like the result of this «manicure», because the gel color was all over my skin and it had air bubbles under the gel.
When I asked her to fix it, she gave me a look (like «what do you want from me??!»)
I ended up going to CVS pharmacy, where I had to buy gel nail polish remover. Very disappointed with this experience.

Fabulous salon! Exceptionally friendly service, beautiful environment. My husband and sons feel very comfortable coming to Elon as well.

If you are in need of any kind of salon service, whether it be for hair, waxing, spray tan or makeup, Elon Salon has you covered! I have been going to see Melissa for many many years and through out the couple of salons she’s been at, Elon is by far my favorite. The salon itself is easy to get to on Cincinnati-​Dayton Road and sits in a brand new building in front of the church. All of the stylists that work here are fabulous and remember your name, even if you don’t go to them. This is a huge plus in my book for the customer service! Melissa does a fantastic job and has colored and cut my hair for nearly 13 years now, so she’s been with me for every color and cut combination you can think of!
Elon offers spray tan services now which are more affordable and less «orange» than the spray tans I’ve received from actual tanning salons. The girls who do this really know how to make the tans natural looking, so it’s easy to fake that «I’ve-been-on-a-beach-all-week» tan. Oh and ladies, if you’re looking for a salon to accommodate your bridal party on the big day, Elon is it! I got married last June and they were able to get hair and makeup done for 8 women in just a few hours. We started at 9 am and we were out of there by 1 pm! All of my bridesmaids loved their up-do’s and make up (in fact, my Matron of Honor liked her hair and makeup for my wedding, more than she liked it for hers, just a year before! Guess she should have gone to Elon!)
They have so many wonderful services to offer that I would spend all day listing them out. Just make an appointment and go! Oh, and don’t worry about those high-​pressure sales at the end of your appointment either. This isn’t a Mitchell’s and these hairdressers won’t push a $ 50 can of hair spray on you just to meet a commission.
