We have been going to Beckett Park since before they officially opened. It just so happened that we showed up the day of its Grand Opening and our picture was in the paper the next day! This is a GREAT park. It sits way back off Beckett Road with NO through traffic. There’s plenty of open space to play or picnic with a blanket, but it has plenty of covered picnic tables as well. Beckett has VERY clean public rest rooms and drinking fountains for you to use as well. Additionally, you will see The Muhlhauser Barn at the park entrance. This beautiful and historic 1881 barn can be rented for parties or receptions. I have see many couples get married at the gazebo located next to the barn. Beckett Park is connected to a walking path which will lead you to another section of the park across the street. This part of the park is also nice and has several covered picnic areas, but is geared toward catch and release fishing if you like that kind of torture, er I mean, thing. Yeah, yeah, it doesn’t hurt them. Blah Blah. Beckett Park’s playground is a hidden gem your kids will love… well, not so hidden now though. ENJOY!
