Walgreen Drug Stores

Big, standalone, well-​stocked pharmacy & drug store on Bloomfield Ave. It’s a great place to buy beauty products, and highly recommended for holiday items (read: candy).
Full disclosure: I do prefer the CVS down the street, but only because it’s a complete pain in the behind to make a left turn into this Walgreens during the busy hours!

Out of regular candy canes on Christmas Eve, down 1-star…but had in-​stock a lovely peppermint candy that is made from… brace yourselves– Sugar and Peppermint Oil (maybe some red coloring too). But that was it. No corn syrup. I was happy to find them… grind em up and dust my homemade chocolate truffles with em…
Ok, so this isn’t much of a review of the store itself, but whatever. It’s Walgreens, you all know what you’re in for.

I’m not gonna lie, I love this place. First reason being that Walgreens usually only exist in the south. So when I found out we were getting a Walgreens in a non-​hick part of Jersey, I was excited. This location is getting a high rating from me because of the staff. Generally speaking, they are the nicest staff I’ve dealt with. They are consistantly helpful with what you need, and friendly in a genuine way. The women who work at the photo booth always help me out. And one elderly man who works as a cashier is the sweetest man!
Love their photo department– I’ve placed some very large orders as well as enlargements and the photos always come out super clear and are finished extremely fast.
Tip: the entrance from the back road is much easier.
