Eerie. Any song that started to play would get turned off before it ended. Look is really wonderful – which garners the star. So quiet we could hear conversations across the room. We left after one drink.

Bought a Groupon for this place thinking it was a new«restaurant» in town — obviously not realizing it was the old Clevelands. That said, I never had food at Clevelands, so I’m not sure what is old vs new. The food is definitely overpriced, especially the apps. The Groupon allowed for one app and two entrees. We ordered the Mozz Sticks($ 12) and Pretzel($ 6), knowing we’d be charged for the more expensive one. Both were ok, nothing special — guess they are pretty straightforward apps to begin with. The Mozz sticks seemed similar to ones you might get at Costco — good enough bar food, and the portion was big enough, but definitely not worth $ 12. The pretzel was one medium-sized pretzel. The menu said it came with spicy mustard and a cheese sauce, but ours had honey mustard and spicy mustard, no cheese sauce — we liked the honey mustard, and with the Mozz sticks, didn’t think we needed more cheese, so we didn’t bother asking about the discrepancy. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken sandwich. When the sandwich came out, it was a plain, grilled piece of chicken, and a bun with lettuce, and tomato. This was odd because the menu said it included cheddar cheese, bacon, and fried onions. I hesitated to say anything but did point this out to the bartender. She brought it back to the kitchen, and they put cheddar cheese(barely melted), and bacon on it, still no onions. Now, I could see if there were several variations of chicken sandwiches on the menu, but there’s literally one chicken sandwich. Not exactly sure how the kitchen missed 3 ingredients, and then the 3rd one twice? However, the sandwich(when kind of put together) was very good — the chicken was pounded super thin, which made me like the whole sandwich even more — I’d actually order it again. My friend said his burger was good, no complaints. My overall take: this had more of a drink place with food, rather than a restaurant feel; so I’d come back for happy hour or trivia night — more so for drinks, but would possibly order some food(since none of our food was bad). Based on all of that… I’d put my review in the 3 – 4 range = 3.5ish

I’ve only been there one time and I will never go again!!! It was the worst first experience ever! I was upstairs… I don’t know if there is a downstairs to the bar. It has the potential to be great and it’s a decent size. But I went for an event and then planned to eat dinner and have some drinks! There was no wait staff, it was just 2 bartenders behind the bar. I asked for a drink and they would forget to make it and help other people. For 1 drink it took 20 minutes. It took 1 hour for my food. The service was terrible but the staff seemed nice from what I saw. But there was a limited menu and food was over priced for what they had and for how long I needed to wait. I was already hungry when they finally came to take my order and I had a pounding migraine by the time I got the food. I was better off going to the Wendy’s around the corner! it would have been faster and cheaper and worth the money.

It’s an ok bar hoping to be a great bar. The look and ambience are really nice. The beer selection is good. The food is where they come up short. The wings are really good. A tad small but that average for a bar. The cheese steak… Well it was a great roll but I have no idea what kind of meat was in there. We joked that it might have been lunch meat. We ate ¼ of it and didn’t bother eating the rest. The fries… Lord they come close to being amazing. You can get a huge basket of loaded fries in a variety of flavor. We got the suburban. Chilly cheese fries. Named after the establishment. What you get is thin frozen fries with canned chili and cheese. What a miss! Give me fresh cut fries, I’m house made chili and charge me 7.00 Very disappointing. Overall it’s an ok place but could be fabulous if they didn’t cut corners. Service was excellent I must add, our server. Who we think was the owner or manager was very attentive.

Amazing service, awesome atmosphere, and the new beer battered menu was innovative and fun! Mike was a fantastic server and the chef was wonderful AND friendly. If you want great food and to be treated great as a customer then this is the place to go!

On a night with a near empty bar, the three bartenders could only focus on a small group of friends who are apparently frequent visitors. At the expense of making them feel like the cast of Cheers, we all had to wait for drinks, food and sports on TV. As a lifelong Caldwell resident, there are way better places to go to. have a bite and watch a game without feeling like your money isn’t important.

I did like to come here every Wednesday for trivia, and have also spent many of my Friday night’s here. Unfortunately, they recently got new management and now I won’t be returning. Everything I did like on the menu is gone; they’ve replaced these items with 4 ¼ pieces of bacon covered in barbecue sauce that cost $ 8. They have now done away with trivia on Wednesdays, my only reason to keep going after they lost all the bartenders I liked. The reason for this is unclear, once people found out trivia was done the only six customers in the the establishment left. Mediocre food is not enough of a draw on a Wednesday to bring anyone in. The place is like a tomb. DISGRACEFUL.

My husband I stopped here last night(Thursday, 10pm) and we walked out after one beer. The place was packed with creepy guys skeeving on the few females present, and no matter where we sat in the place it was impossible to hear each other over the god-awful dance music and the screeching Bud Lite-chugging meatheads gathered around the bar, even though the place wasn’t at all packed. It took the bartender(who informed us she didn’t actually work there. ?) forever to finally deign to ask us what we wanted and didn’t offer us menus. We quickly finished our overpriced Cold Snaps and ran for the hills. We won’t be back.

Decent spot — good vibe. Spacious. They do live music which is cool. Drinks are reasonably priced. Food was pretty good — I had their veggie burger — really yummy. The fries were OK — I had them seasoned with Old Bay(it was an option) but the result wasn’t all that great. Only thing — service was lacking. You had to flag the bartenders down for a refill. I had my empty glass on the counter but no one ever asked if I needed another. Not a huge deal since it wasn’t that busy, plus I ended spending less money and not drinking as much. But still, not a good business practice. Would come back to try the other menu items.

Delicious food but AWFUL service. My friend and I went there for happy hour. We were seated and didn’t see our waitress for about ten minutes after that. We asked another other waitress to get us water BC we were sick of waiting. But the food was great. The second time we went for lunch with some coworkers. The service was soooooo slow it was painful. Again, great food but not run efficiently by the manager. After a grinding work day or a break from a tough work morning, I don’t have time to wait for a glass of water or my meal got 45 minutes Won’t be going there again :-/

I’ve been coming here off and on for several years(back to the days of Cleveland’s). It’s never been anything more than your local run of the mill watering hole with decent bar food which is my kind of scene. When they started getting gimmicky with specials and promotions the crowd became less than desirable so we stopped coming. It’s too bad as I always really liked the staff and it seemed every time I went in there I would run into somebody I knew. I have only been 2 or 3 times since the name change and each time was a Saturday night and the place was almost empty. We went this past Saturday and I have to admit I got some serious sticker shock. I am not a wine snob and can barely tell the difference between boxed wine and a decent bottle but $ 9 for a glass of terrible Pinot Noir? That might be the most expensive glass of wine in town. I know this isn’t a high end steakhouse so I shouldn’t expect much quality but you should price accordingly. What I really found strange is that my sister and I ordered the same drink and they were served in 2 totally different glasses and thus 2 different serving sizes. My glass was literally half the size of hers. I’ll probably go back because it’s low key and close to the house but this is never high on my list of places to go.

Decent food, good prices, great staff and patrons! The place looks great after the renovation. I used to come here for Trivia Night every Wednesday when I lived in the area. It was a nice crowd and good time. On weekends they have live music, which can be hit or miss. There are a couple bartenders that make an effort to remember who you are and know your drinks. That is worth a lot to me. I’ve tried a bunch of their food and feel comfortable recommending the Blackened Mahi Bites, the tuna, and their burgers. They used to have a killer deal where you could get a burger and a beer for $ 10, but I think they’ve axed it. We had one incident where the food did not come out as it should’ve, and the manager was super apologetic and made it right. We didn’t think it a big deal, but he did and worked hard to rectify it. Their patio is great during the warmer months, the only downfall is you have to go inside to order most of the time. I’ve never eaten anywhere but at the bar, but I suspect food and service are the same in the dining area. Definitely worth a visit.

Was starving with my husband so we stopped at this eatery. When we walked up the two flights of steps it was clearly a sports bar atmosphere. Very loud and people getting tanked but that’s typical for a Sunday afternoon in New Jersey. We decided to sit away from the bar and i ordered the wings in a classic sauce and my hubby got the chili and ahi tuna. My wings were kinda gross but the chili was excellent. He said his Tuna was good, I personally didn’t try it. So overall an ok experience.

Here’s the deal… Maybe we caught it on a bad night. We came here because of a Groupon offer. Upon walking in I liked the bar area and the restaurant seating was nice. It has a nice outdoor patio area. The service was extremely slow, the waiter kept apologizing because I guess they were having some kitchen problems? They food was just«ok». We had ordered a variety of items. Pizza was ‘good”. Fish taco’s «Ah» Someone else had mini burgers… They said it was good. but honestly, we waited so long for our food I think hunger overwhelmed us. Maybe if in the area I’ll give it another try…

This was my first time in since they changed the name of this place. The renovations are great. Definitely has more of a modernized look. It seems they are still in transition because the waitress stated there are menu changes to come, and the happy hour and other specials have not been finalized. I am a cocktail drinker, and this would be a place I frequent for that, but my drink wasn’t bad at all. I come for the wings, and they are still good. I had the had the parmesan buffalo wings, and it was delicious. It gave the buffalo sauce and extra kick of seasoning. This will still be one of my go to spots for wings.

TERRIBLETERRIBLETERRIBLE !!! Service is awful and management is disrespectful. We waited 1 hour for our food. They brought out only a burger and no fries for one person while the other 3 people waited another 10 minutes and never received their food. We ended up leaving and will NEVER go back and you shouldn’t either.

I was here last Friday 5÷9÷14 and I had a great time! Beer was cold, and the sliders are a must try! Yummy! Had so much fun with their life music! This place is good for groups, dates, or even if you want to catch some games on TV. Did I mention the sliders? I’ll be back very soon!
