These bagels are coming with me in that«what three things are you bringing on your deserted island» game. Every time we come to Caldwell we come here and stock up like we’ll never see bagels again(we live in DC, we might not!) The sandwiches are great, the bagels are heavenly, and even when there’s a line out the door it moves quickly and is well worth it. I’ve had a couple of messed up orders(my boyfriend is allergic to dairy so he has to customize a lot of stuff, which while annoying is also necessary) but they always fix it quickly. It’s a good idea to kind of watch as they’re making the sandwich if you have any specific dietary requirements, just to remind them. Or, if it won’t kill you, to just take what they give you because it will be delicious regardless.

BESTSANDWICHESAROUND!!! The guys i work With always get 4 different orders and sams has never messed it up once. Their flagels are probably the best thing i’ve ever had. And they’re sandwhiches are awesome too. My go to order is a plain flagel with lox spread

I’ve come here a total of four times because it’s close. And every single time they screwed up my order. Every. Single. Time. This last time I’ve had enough. I refuse to come to your store any longer. There is clearly a complete disconnect with a language barrier from your employees to your customer demographic. They are rude and get mad when THEY make a mistake. Today they got my order wrong four separate times. FOUR. That is completely unacceptable. How hard is it to write down the orders from your customers? When asked for the owner I got told«owner no here». Good luck with your business. You’ve lost a customer who is very loyal to a business when it’s run correctly.

Only open until 2 on Sundays not 4 like the app says. Just came here really wanting Taylor ham & cheese on a flagel and it’s closed.

Best bagels in New Jersey. Best service. Hands down. Order in and /or go here at least once a week!

The food is excellent. I love Sam’s bagels(and flagels for that matter) BUT they ALWAYS get your order wrong. They barely put on enough Taylor ham to make the bagel appetizing. I get SAM’s a lot so it’s every week that I’m experiencing these wrong orders. Please, please get new employees or come up with a system to actually get orders right.

Ok, fine, yes… the bagels are the best around(by miles). The reason for the one star review are the nasty, obnoxious, curt, rude people that run this place. They also always insist on taking your entire order at once and then get it all wrong. I hate this place and will never go back… until the next time I want a bagel. :(

Pretty good little bagel shop. I was passing by and decided I wanted a wrap. There were only 2 other people in there and before I knew I had a line behind me so it seems pretty popular during lunch! Everyone was ordering sandwiches… service was fast. The staff could have been a little more friendly but no complaints really. I’ll definitely stop in next time I’m in the area.

The best bagels hands down. Flagels are to die for as well, as well as their flavored cream cheeses(especially veggie). I’ve also had an Italian sub from them and it was huge and delicious. No other bagel place compares — I even used to bring back their bagels and cream cheese when I went back to college after breaks, my roommates were that obsessed!

Just had the #16 Turkey, Bacon with Melted Swiss, Cole slaw, and Russian Dressing on a Sub. Boy did that hit the spot!

Just lettin’ you guys know, I’m about to get all romantic over bagels here. Poetic, even. Haiku-style, five times, let’s go: Bagels of my youth Hot half dozen waits for me When I wake — thanks, Dad! Fresh grab out the bag And save the rest for Sunday Delicious for days Ho, bagel purists! A hockey puck, this is not Fluffy, gigantic A toaster-crisped top As butter runneth over Dense, crevassed innards Sam’s, Jersey’s finest From flagels to Taylor Ham Repeat next weekend I think I’ve made my point clear. Sam’s is the shiz.

Good everything flat bagels but sometimes the wait doesn’t seem worth it. If you can go during off peak hours(weekdays especially) you will find that your wait will not be as long. Taylor ham egg & cheese sandwiches are good but make sure they hear your order correctly!

Sam’s is always my first stop in town when I’m visiting my family. Caldwell has at least five or six options for bagel shops and this is by far the best one. Their bagels are fresh, flavorful, faultless… they get a full five stars. Lines can get a bit long but they move quickly and I cannot stress this enough… the bagels are worth it. Plus, you are bound to run into a friendly face or two in line. Favorite combinations: Everything«flagel» with sun-dried tomato cream cheese Cinnamon raisin bagel with plain cream cheese Pro-tip: If you’re feeling hedonistic, make a drink from their machine that is half cappuccino and half hot chocolate. HEAVENLY.

The bagels and cream cheese are good but that’s about it… The store is so small and there’s always a thousand people on line, The people who work here are rude, unfriendly and dumb. They give u an attitude if u don’t order in five seconds and charge me literally a different price for the same two things every time I go in there. They just make up prices… It’s weird and annoying

Dirty, poorly managed, terrible service, staff doesn’t even understand English well enough to get your order correct. But damn, they have the best bagels in the area; especially flat bagels! That’s the only reason I gave a second star, and the only reason I come back. This place is literally filthy, the walls have stains on them, and the staff itself is scarcely much cleaner. I would not touch or eat anything in here except the bagels. I once saw a staff member knock an entire stack of paper coffee cups on the floor(which is grimy and disgusting). The stack rolled along the floor and under a rack display chips. The staff member simply retrieved the cups and put them back next to the coffee without even attempting to clean them. I woild have liked to see her throw them out and put out a new stack, or at the very least to try and clean them or wipe them down with a(clean) rag. It turned my stomach.

An all-around perfect bagel. Since moving to DC, I actually bring these things back in bulk and freeze them until my next trip to NJ! Highly recommend the flat bagels a.k.a. flagels if you are more into the exterior of a bagel than the interior — toasted, these babies become crunchy, delicious vehicles for cream cheese or eggs or whatever toppings you prefer. Yum. If you are going to order any kind of egg sandwich, I recommend going at an off-peak hour. Sometimes during the Weekend morning rush, they take things off the grill too soon, leading to an unfortunate unmelted cheese situation. During any other time though, these are the best bagel sandwiches you can find!

Ordered a bagel with ham, egg and cheese. That and a Coffee $ 5. not bad. When I brought it out to the car and unwrapped it, it was a soggy wet mess! I had to dry the bagel with a napkin! Why the fuck is it wet?!? The ham was very salty. I didn’t ask for salt so either they don’t listen or they’re using imposter ham instead of the Boar’s Head which they advertise in the front window. I see potential here, but get your shit together people! Next time I’m going to Panera across the street.

Quick and delicious. Typical jersey bagel selection but have mini and flat bagels too! Not enough room for the morning rush but the workers kill the line quick. Great breakfast spot to take out.
