Went to get a spray tan with my sister. The front desk told us the technician wasn’t in when we had appointments? She was also very rude. She found someone who had a quick break to do us. She didn’t seem like she knew how to do a spray tan. Color did not even look dark or last. Very weird experience I have gotten a lot of spray tans in my life before and this was a very bad experience. Won’t be going back!

Absolutely Love this place and the outcome that is evident since I’ve been coming here to see Julianne! She took my ridiculously sensitive skin and completely transformed it with the HydraFacial! My mom is a tough critic on skin and she is blown away by how my skin has reacted! The store is adorable and front desk staff is always pleasant and helpful with scheduling! Definitely a Hidden Gem that i am glad to have found!

I had laser hair removal from Farah, an owner of Skinthetics. She was competent and professional and did a nice job. That was fine, although hair does grow back. It’s just not as long or thick. I have a few complaints of this business. The first was with permanent make-up. I had my eyebrows done a few years ago. I was told that the cost included the initial treatment and then a touch-up. To my understanding, it is standard practice to need a touch-up for permanent make-up a couple months later. I was also told that one should not spend time in the sun following an application. My first treatment was in the spring. I went on a month long vacation in June, and when I returned home it was the midst of summer. In other words, spending lots of time in the sun. I chose to wait until September for my touch-up. As I had been directed, I called the technician directly on her cell phone to make an appointment. I called many times, and she never called back. When I called the salon to make an appointment, I was informed that the woman who had applied my permanent make-up no longer worked there, and I would have to see a new person when they found one. When they had a new person in place, they called to make an appointment for me. I wasn’t thrilled with trusting someone totally new, as it’s a big commitment to have make-up tattooed on your face. However, they assured me the new girl was experienced and nice. I finally agreed. Next issue was that I would have to pay full price, because the new girl was contract labor and the salon wasn’t charging me directly. I asked them to talk to the owner, to see if they would at least discount the salon’s cut. When I arrived for my appointment I was told it would be full price. By now I was overdo for my touch-up, and I didn’t know what else to do so I just paid. Well, the technician, Gabby, was nice enough. I was a little offended listening to her bad mouth her teenage daughter and motherhood in general for most of the session. She told me a well know local spa owner was her mom, so she knows a lot about the profession. She criticized the first permanent make-up I had done, even though I was happy with the result. She said she would fix what the first girl had done. Make along story short, I was not satisfied with her touch-up. She messed up my arch. She used a weird color that ended up turning charcoal grey almost purplish. The worst of all was to find out when I went to have it redone at another salon, that she caused some scarring and it’s hard to get new color to stay on my skin. In the meantime, I had eyelash extensions applied for the holidays. The technician was booked but squeezed me in to be nice. While I was there, I came to realize she was in a hurry to go out of town to visit her boyfriend. She ended up rushing my application and didn’t allow sufficient time for the glue to dry, This irritated my eye and I ended up with a stye or some sort of eye inflammation. I had to go to the doctor’s the next day, cutting into some special activities I had planned. It also prevented me from wearing eye make-up for the rest of the holiday season. Perhaps this was not her fault, or maybe it was. Either way, I called Skinthetics to inform the owner of my experience. I left a message, but she never called back. This was similar to the non-responsiveness to my call regarding the charge for the permanent make-up. I had spent literally thousands of dollars at this salon. At the very least, Farah should have called me back. She should have acknowledged my concerns. She should have followed up and offered me some concession. She never bothered. I never went back. I discourage anyone from going to this business.
