Pros: Quality sushi and rolls, cheap beer($ 6 for large Japanese varieties) and a decent value with a Groupon or on one of their two«Specials» nights. Cons: Absolutely no atmosphere(imagine eating at a Walmart with soft-core Japanese music videos playing in the background) and indifferent service. You get the feeling the wait staff has a tremendous turnover. A little effort would be nice because this place doesn’t even look like a restaurant, instead more like a low-rent elementary school cafeteria. With a Groupon it gets 3 Stars; without it, we are talking about 1.5 Stars. Go nuts.

Let the waiter know I had a groupon– he told us about their specials that certain rolls were half off– I knew you couldn’t order specials for groupon value so we ordered $ 30 worth of food from regular menu and than ordered couple of rolls from their specials menu– I clearified with waiter that those were indeed half off — when we got our bill we were charged full price for everything– he said we couldn’t use groupon on same check with specials– freaking pointless– wouldn’t of never ordered the other rolls which were supposed to be half off– this place deliberately screwed us over– will not be returning!!! P.S. Sushi was not that great either– Mene Sushi on Maple and Orchard Lake is still the best around!!!

I’m a regular here. I’ve never had bad sushi or sashimi from Ninja. The waiting staff is very friendly but if you look close enough very busy so be patient. Tuesday Thursday special include half off all chef rolls and various others. Free soup and salad on these days! Be sure to tip, not only are you tipping your waiter they split tips right down the middle so you’re also tipping the chef!

My friend and I made an impromptu decision to eat a quick Thursday lunch here after getting manis from Nailistix in the same plaza. Why? Their Thursday special is $ 9.99 all you can eat sushi from 11am-5pm! There were about 7 different kinds of rolls to choose from, and they were good! It’s a good way to try out different kinds of rolls. I suggest going at about 11:15 — 11:30, right when they bring out the freshly made rolls to the buffet table. We got first dibs on the fresh sushi.

Great place for sushi! Always delicious and fresh. Gets really busy on Tuesdays and Saturdays because of the half off sushi specials! We definitely eat here at least twice a month. Highly recommended!

This is a solid option for Japanese and Korean food. There is a creative selection of rolls, and some classic entrée options(teriyaki, bentos, bibimbop). Unfortunately, the food is a bit inconsistent. I’ve had a couple 5 star experiences, but also some 3 stars. Sometimes the bibimbop has been too burnt, and other times it is on point, with the PERFECT layer of crispy rice on the stone bowl. The restaurant is very clean and open, and the music/noise is very moderate.

Good food but the worst staff ever. You will be ignored for sure. They have great Groupon deals like $ 17 for $ 30 worth of food. If you’re really hungry I suggest the soft shell crab roll. It’s huge.

Terrible sushi, gave this place at least 4 tries with a carry out. Threw one order out because fish smelled bad, second order red caviar was bad… third time they didn’t have what I wanted, so ordered a simple eel & avocado roll and a flower roll or something like that — it tasted plain and terrible. DO not recommend this place to anyone. Sorry to be so harsh, but its the truth!

Sushi are great especially the avocado and shrimp one. They have sushi day on Saturday which means you can buy sushi for half price. It’s awesome!

This place has been my favorite sushi place for a long time. They have crazy, but amazingly delicious rolls! With that being said, the service is starting to become really slow and uninterested in their customers. If you have some time, definitely check it out! Try the hell yeah roll! You won’t be sad!

This place deserves more than 3 stars! I went today for lunch to check out their Monday special promo(50% off all Hometown Rolls). I’m gluten-free, so there weren’t too many choices for me on the Hometown Rolls list, but I ended up ordering a Rainbow Roll with cucumber instead of crab salad and a Salmon Roll(which is not on the Hometown Rolls list). My total came to about $ 9.50 excluding tip which is a great deal, considering the Rainbow Roll alone is $ 10 normally. Plus, we got a complementary miso soup and small salad with the meal! The restaurant was completely empty when I went at 1pm on Monday, although one other table did sit down while I was eating. The waiter was nice, and the food came out quickly. The rice was cooked well, and the fish was fresh. They have a full menu on their website and other promos on other days of the week, so be sure to check that out. I know I’ll definitely be coming back! One note about the online menu — it doesn’t seem to get updated very often because I saw some rolls on the Hometown Rolls list online that weren’t available at the restaurant.

Ok first of all dont bother using a groupon theve found everyway around not excepting them. Server was disinterested in being a server. Looked like he was half asleep. Also didnt know how to enter a groupon so i wasted my money. The food was mediocre at best. The rolls fell apart making chop sticks useless. The sushi didnt taste all that good, good thing i had the wasabi to cover the taste. Avoid this dump not worth the money or time.

This place use to be one of the best sushi restaurants in the area, now it’s the worse under the new management, service is terrible because the staff isn’t managed it’s like a free for all, my wife ordered chicken they needed to go to grocery store to get it.(Seriously) if I could post a picture of my sushi it would make anyone that love sushi sick, they smothered everything I’m their house sauce, so everything was brown, even my dragon roll. This place sucks, avoid if you are not a run of the mill sushi connoisseur.

Nice looking place and the staff was very polite but forgetful. The seaweed wrap was very tough and the brown rice was cold. The lobster didn’t taste like lobster and seemed like imitation lobster.

50% off certain rolls on a Saturday night?!? Most places don’t have discounts like that on weekends. And it comes with a salad and soup. We got the philly roll, Salmon was very smoky and delicious. We also got the flower roll, had multiple types of fish in it, tasted good but there was no way to eat that in one bite. The best roll we had was the TNT. Overall the sushi wasn’t wrapped the best and it kept falling apart. But the flavors were very good.

There’s only one reason why we come here and continue to come here. Tuesday’s and Saturdays they have half-off sushi. I’m not the biggest fan of sushi but the wife is and it doesn’t hurt to get your bill chopped in half because sushi is never cheap. And it’s nice to order the«high end»($ 15) rolls for $ 7.50. Between the both of us, we order between 6 – 7 rolls.(Yes) I never get full off sushi no matter how much I eat so again, it’s not really for me anyway. The place seems fairly clean and presentable. Everytime we go there they have different people working there. Their ginger salad dressing is superb. The sushi is good. And as mentioned earlier, if it’s not half-off, you won’t find me there. Worth a try for you sushi fans.

Please note — «seat yourself» type of place. Waitress are very friendly and also provide you with the daily specials. Of course as others stated — you get half off on Tuesday. The food was great — there was a little wait but the waitress came by to give me a status update on my order. I don’t mind waiting because honestly that means it’s getting prepared fresh and not per-made. During the cold months — I highly suggest not sitting the door; with people coming in u can feel the draft easily. Happy eating!!!

Tuesdays and Saturdays most sushi is half off. Food was delicious. They recently renovated. Really nice place.
