If you are a cowboy or cowgirl, or just one at heart, you MUST experience the Crazy Horse Ranch for dinner. It’s out in the country down a long windy gravel driveway, but well worth the drive. Be sure to check out their website and call for your meal plan and reservations. My wife, 6 year old, and I experienced the Crazy Horse for dinner tonight. Smoke smell from a wood fire pit filled the air when we arrived. It smelled so good. Then entering the building took me back to my days with Dale Evans and Roy Rogers. We each had a different cut of steak, you can’t go wrong with any of them. All seasoned and char-cooked to perfection on an open grill. Mine was a huge Porterhouse, our daughter ate ribeye, my wife enjoyed the fillet. Salad was not the standard restaurant lettuce salad but a wonderful salad of fresh vegetables that was outstanding. Baked potato or baked sweet potato prepared to help fill your tummy with excitement. You will love the Crazy Horse dining experience. We sure did.

I am sure the steaks would have been great, and I would have loved to have been able to tell you all about it, but unfortunately, this restaurant and lodge is only open on the weekends(Friday and Saturdays) for dinner… I am going to be in the area on Sunday evening so I won’t be able to enjoy the experience… I am sure that is because they are located in a rural area and there is not a lot of traffic or business in the area… they should probably advertise this so people don’t plan a trip and come away disappointed… or, at least call ahead!

Best steak I have ever had. Great food and great service. The place is out in the middle of nowhere but well worth the drive. The owner is actually the cook.

The atmosphere takes your back 100 years… Décor is really cool… Everyone very friendly and they had live music… The food is absolutely amazing… I had a porter house and the seasoning was great… Massive cut of meat cooked old school on a wood burning grill right outside… It’s worth a try!

Pros: Reasonable prices for rooms, free wifi, peaceful surroundings, cowboy décor, friendly people, outdoor hot tub, 10 mins away from casino, dinner is unbelievably awesome– best steak I ever had! Cons: horseback riding is pricier– $ 50 for the first hour, no prices on dinner and breakfast– we had two entrees for dinner, two breakfasts and it costs $ 61 including tax. Overall it was a good time with good food, like they promised!
