One of our favorite places to visit in French Lick Indiana. We tend to go every year during the fall, we love to have a meal at the winery. This year was my husbands birthday, and they celebrated. The wines were excellent, the pizza was wonderful, and the wine cake– well lets just say the recipe came home with me!!! The service was amazing. And one must take the time to shop around in their store. So many fun things. Since it was fall, they had some wine related Christmas Ornaments and the store was decorated for the season. Definitely worth a stop on your itinerary if you are in French Lick.

Great little winery! I was very surprised when I came to the area for work and stopped by on a whim on the way to the area casino. Able to sample all the wines which led me to purchase a few. There is a discount for buying in larger quantities.

Had an absolute blast! Took my girlfriend here to start out the night for her 21st. Service is great. Staff is so knowledgeable and our waitress was the best. We didn’t have any food just some wine and bread, but I would highly recommend going there for any occasion.

From my first visit in 2009 to now, this place has went from 3* in my book to 5*. The wine, ambiance and gift shop have remained the same. However, the food went from«Meh» to «OMG…can I get 6 orders for carry-out so I can fill my freezer?!» They have over 30 wines and you can try all of them at the wine bar. Wine tastings are pretty much free(there are a couple special wines they charge you to taste, but those are done with decent size samples). And their wines are pretty good. I’m more of a dry white person when it comes to the normal everyday… but I really enjoy French Lick’s sweeter side. They have a great balance on their sweet wines so that they aren’t overly sugary. I’ve bought a couple of bottles and it didn’t leave me with that killer sugar-headache the next morning. So yes. Going for the wine is absolutely fine. But let’s get down to food. French Lick was historically a town that I would visit and it was a «bring my own lunch» type idea. I would stop by a co-op about 15 miles away and grab some lunch and bring it with me. There was absolutely no place that I liked eating in F.L. But now… man…I am getting a craving for the winery again. They have SO many options for ravioli which is where my heart lives with this place. Have you had Spinach Artichoke ravioli somewhere? OK – how about medeterrean veggie with red peppers, garlic, and so forth? They do have some classics like«Classic» and«Lobster». Yum to all. I have seen their pizzas now and man… they look fantastic. They are fully loaded and may cause your table to sink under the weight. The bread and appetizers that I’ve had are also very good and very decent on price. I would plan on spending approximately $ 30 per person to eat here. That would be approx $ 15 for ravioli and $ 5 – 8 for wine and remainder for tip. WELLWORTHIT

A place you can eat, drink, shop and be merry. Did not do the wine tasting as I was pressed for time, but it looked like fun. The shop is nice and the staff friendly. The parking lot is gravel but there is plenty of parking.

The pizza is the very best! I’ve never had a crust like theirs and now I know why. The waitress stated it was authentic, straight from Italy. Now I must go there to visit!

This place was a great surprise! I am so glad we stopped. We started with the pizza for lunch and it was delicious. The crust was some of the best that I have had. Definitely go for the Bronx. Yum! After lunch we tried the wine tasting. You can try almost all of their wines for free! It was quite fun to go down the list. The regular wines were not that great but the dessert and sweet wines were tasty. The prices for the dessert wines were very reasonable. We ended up with a Crema Dolce dessert wine and a Heaven’s View port. Definitely worth a stop.

This winery is a great place to spend time with a friend or significant other! First off, it’s FREE –which I’m not normally used to(although I guess it’s common in Southern Indiana). Secondly, I actually am not really a big fruit wine drinker — it’s just too sweet for me, but they had many other wines on their list to try, and I ended up liking quite a few. I also like how large the bar area is — a lot of wineries I’ve been to, you can get so squished up and you can’t enjoy the tasting experience, but that was not the case here. I’m sure it also helped that it wasn’t very busy when we were there. We also stayed for lunch. many wineries only serve apps or charcuterie plates(if they server food at all!), so this place was really nice with their full meal options.

What a great restaurant in a town that has very little dining options this is a hidden gem for reasonably priced homemade quality food. We had two appetizers and their pizza which was one of the top 10 pizzas we’ve had in a long time. The wine is very reasonably priced and has a large selection to choose from would highly recommend it to anyone from out of town who is looking to get away from the resort prices and low-quality.

It’s a winery first, a restaurant second. The wine was great. I tasted a bunch for free before deciding on one to pair with my pizza. The pizza was good, but the crust was lacking in flavor. The service was alright but our waitress seemed to disappear for long periods of time. I would check this place out to taste and buy some wine, but there are better places to eat.

The Winery is a beautifully designed and comfortable wine restaurant located near French Lick & West Baden’s resorts. The host and hostess are polite professionals with a Caregiver’s patience as they elucidate One on Wine selections.

We spent a week in West Baden and ate at the winery twice. We really enjoyed the place. Food was very good and the service was friendly and professional. The waitress offered to replace my husband’s wine when he was sort of uncertain as to whether he liked it. He declined because the glass he ordered was fine. During the previous trip I wasn’t sure I would like their flavored iced tea. The waitress brought me a sample.

This is one of my favorite dining options in French Lick! It is a little too far to walk here from the French Lick Resort, but it is an easy bike ride. There is a varied wine selection with the traditional Indiana sweets, but also some lovely dry options. Tastings are free except a few of their higher end bottles. My new favorite is their cherry wine, made with cherries. It is sweet, tart, and is wonderful in the summer mixed with a little club soda. The café transports you to Italy. The pastas are done well, but the star is their homemade pan bigio. It is a loaf of warm, soft, crunchy Italian bread. Pay the extra $ 3 for the dipping oil — it’s worth it! The oil is filled with dried herbs and is a heavenly accompaniment to the bread. Every time i go, I suggest they bottle it for sale. I’m hoping eventually they heed my advice. The pizzas are also good, thin, rustic, and homemade. You can get a hefty size one with three toppings for around $ 11 for lunch. Unfortunately, they close around 5 p.m. most days, so get there for lunch.

I was impressed with the amount of wines you could try. This really helped in making a decision of what to bring home. Also there was a restaurant on the premise, which we would have tried if we hadn’t ate already

We stopped here for a wine tasting only, which are free! Most of the French Lick offerings are sweet /semi-sweet wines, but they are excellent! Words of wisdom — Fill out the pink shipping form so you can buy their wines online and have them shipped to your home. Also, buying a case gets you a 15% discount for your total wine purchase. While the French Lick Red and French Lick White are their signature, best selling wines, try the Catawba. You won’t regret it!

Sampled several sweet wines which were all good. Sat down to eat was waited on promptly. The garlic cheese bread was great and the beef ravioli was delicious. Nice little gift shop inside. Clean friendly atmosphere. The outside doesn’t look like it’s that great of a place but the inside is fairly nice. I highly recommend it if you visit French Lick or west Baden.

Enjoyed lunch first — the Italian sandwich I had was very good. The pizza that the others in my group ordered looked great & they both enjoyed it complimenting the crust. We moved on to the tasting which was great. There is no charge & no limit(well, just no dancing on the bar) of number of tastings which I find great because if I’m going to buy then I wanna try! Be sure to tip your wine pourer directly! One of the top wineries on the Indiana Uplands tour!

I loved this little tasting room here and really enjoyed the Norton wine. I bought a bottle of the Norton for myself to take home to Houston and a bottle of the Chambourcin for my daughter and her husband as a house warming gift. I’d love to return to this area of Indiana as there is so much to do.

The café in the winery is quite the diamond in the rough. Literally, in the«rough». It’s in a Butler building behind the post office. You can barely see it from the highway. The parking lot is gravel. Two words: pan bigio. Get it. Love it. It’s a loaf(or half loaf) of piping hot crusty bread that you use as a vehicle for their marvelous herb-infused dipping oil. I have tried several times to bribe my server to reveal the ingredients(so I can make it at home) to no avail. The pastas and pizza are also marvelous. The marinara has a nice tang without being too sweet. After you eat, step up to the tasting bar for some free wine samples. While you’re there, sample some homemade fudge. Wander the store and pick up some wine-related knick-knacks for your kitchen. My favorite: a sign that says«Bad wine hurts your stomach. Good wine hurts your wallet.»
