Stop & Shop

Bathrooms need to be cleaner. You serve food. How clean a bathroom is… is a reflection on how clean an establishment is. I love stop and shop and choose them over other supermarkets but… lately I’ve had an issue with one specific employee who gives us the hardest time about coupons. She fights with us over them… even when we prove we have the correct items. Had to get a manager once who approved the coupons (because they were correct) and even after he approved she still made comments! Rude. And a lot of times stop and shop coupons don’t work… which needs to be addressed. Annoying at self checkout. Sales are good though and produce is good.

Very nice clean and organized supermarket. Wide variety of items. Wide aisles, great product displays, lots of sales items. Where I was let down was that there is not enough Spanish products here. Which means that If I need some Goya products, I gotta get elsewhere.
One more great thing is that the meats and fish are placed in some kind of sealed bags, which looks pretty good and hygienic. Unlike other places where you can see the meat liquid spilling all over the places.

This has to be the worst run supermarket! Has really gone down hill in the last few months. Twice in the last week I have stopped in to ahop. None of the self service scanners are charged. This is inductive of the things I’ve seen in this store lately. Upkeep is inconsistent. Used to like this store, no more. Off to find a store with working scanners.

This is one of the larger and bigger Stop&Shop I’ve been to in NY. Normally I would expect it to be older like the shoprite nearby that still feel much like a strip mall from the 70s but at this location it’s its own standalone building with own private lot. I feel they have done some interior renovation as the aisles and lighting feels much more modern than most of the locations I’ve been to.
Prices are decent but they do have pretty good selections. Being that its probably the closest supermarket for me around the area that has decent reviews I would find myself coming here more often in the future. Coming here Saturday evening was painless with plenty of parking and no lines.
The staff are pretty friendly and they seem mostly younger college aged kids. Unilocal’s location is a little off however they’re actually located just a little further down beyond the intersection that it shows on the map. Very convenient off Sunrise highway.

Clean, large store, good sales, and I think it has a better selection of products and produce than the one on Montauk Highway in West Babylon. Also, the self checkout has a full belt instead of the mini ones at the Mtk Hwy location.

I’m from Florida so comparing a grocery store is always juxtaposing it against Publix.
Stop and Shop is every bit as good. It’s clean, the staff is friendly and healthy looking. The produce is fresh, deli is great and efficient.
The prices aren’t bad.
I enjoy shopping at Stop and Shop.

Didn’t even want to give it 1 star, piece of trash every time I go there when I go to check out I give the cashier my stop and shop card they always say «Don’t worry about it I already swiped mine for you» really so they get the Benefits of my purchase, bunch of dirtbags work at the 109 location

It’s surprising to see many people applaud this store and have such a good rating after a few reviews. I think it’s not very well-​managed.
S&S prices are OK, and they can have good sales, but usually I shop elsewhere. As with any store, utilize the self-​scanners at the end of some aisles so you can confirm the prices on some items. I’ve had problems like this in the past, hence the three stars for this store and not 4.
A recent mini-​renovation and redesign of some aisles has helped. It’s not a big store, so if lines get long for cashiers, it could be a mess up front. Most, if not all, cashiers have been friendly.

I love this supermarket! I spend a lot of time there. The produce department is always well stocked with a great assortment of fruits and veggies. The employees are always willing to help and are very friendly. Prices are decent. I also like the deli department. The pharmacy is convenient and I really like my pharmacist. I can usually find anything I need at this store. It’s clean, usually well-​stocked and the employees in all the departments are always willing to engage in conversation and are very informed and helpful. I also have found the store-​brand products are usually very, very good and offer a substantial savings.

They have pretty good discounts if you shop smart. They do tend to run out of the chickens by 6:30PM, so if your looking to pick up a hot or refrigerated dinner be sure to get there before 5pm.

My local supermarket closed so I needed to find a new place and heard good things about this one. I was very impressed when I shopped here. The store is spacious and clean. They have pretty much everything and the prices were better than I expected. This is definitely my new regular supermarket. I like that there’s also a Redbox inside.

And I’ll tell you why… I love stop & shop. okay that’s all good and grand but that doesn’t mean that every location is going to be the same. NO SIR. I have been to multiple stop & shops in Nassau and Suffolk. MUL TI PLE. This is the best one because the produce is fresher YES IT IS, the layout is very open, the layout is GOOD, the people working in the produce section are helpful shout out to James! There were times that I have asked «oh snap where be all the bean sprouts?» and they go in the back and look for them for me!, they have a StarBucks!, the young girl working in the florist section is helpful and quirky — apparently Orchids like you or don’t like you, and plenty of ORGANIC options for fair prices.
This is my favorite place to food shop and they have many healthy affordable options for those who only buy organic or non-​processed food. Great sales too! My favorite is the 10 for $ 10 Avocados. Where else can you get fresh ripe avocados for a buck each?
Also plenty of parking, entering and exiting is for easy for you spazzes out there :)
I wish they enforced the young cashiers to be more polite and at least smile. That is the only downer there. but that is America for ya. We have everything and we’re still not happy!
