Two Men and a Truck Milwaukee

Two Men and a Truck are our heroes! Our worst nightmare happened when our scheduled movers were late and I called to find out that they went out of business. Because we were moving to Milwaukee our local 2 Men gave me the Milw number. I spoke to Kelly from the West Allis office who told me they were booked but would call to see if anyone wanted to work. Two of the nicest, strongest, hard working men were at our home by 1:00. Fred and AJ worked tirelessly until the last box was unloaded around 8:00 pm. Kudos to this company for bending over backwards for us and providing awesome customer service. If we ever need to move again you’ll be our first call and I’ll recommend you to everyone I know!

If I could give this company a negative one star I would. I cannot stress ENOUGH to NOT waste your money or time with this company. The women that answer the phone must be the most miserable, rude, uneducated people I have talked to ever. After the company didn’t show up at the time scheduled I called, after being put on eternal hold I was told the move was cancelled as they could not get a hold of me when allegedly my credit card was denied. Funny… other charges made it thru that day and the proceeds from the sale of my house were in the account. Also, the phone call and email they insist was sent to me didn’t show up on the phone or in the email (yet I do get their SPAM mail since this experience.) I would have had more respect for the company if they would have just told the truth. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!!! There are other franchises so if you HAVE to use Two Men and a Truck avoid the West Allis location.

I used TMT again yesterday for something in a pinch! Quick, efficient and great customer service — AGAIN! The only criticism is their prices are so high, but you really do get what you pay for!

This is the second time I’ve used Two Men and a Truck to move. Both times my movers have been friendly, hard-​working, respectful, and professional. They have arrived within the predetermined time range and finished in the estimated time. Nothing has been damaged or stolen.
My only complaint is the price, but it seems to be comparable to other moving companies in the area: aka expensive! On a weekend they cost $ 132 an hour (from the time they leave their office to the time they return). They cost $ 120/​hour on weekdays. No hidden costs.
From my personal experience I would recommend them if you are looking for reliable movers.

The movers who aided me were a Rich and someone else. Both were extremely professional and quick. They were fantastic, and I’ll definitely use them again.

Horrible customer service! Good luck getting a claim resolved! They only care about their money, not the customer!!! Ruined furniture and still no resolution after waiting for a month! Expensive furniture at that! Never again and I will spread the word about them! The West Allis depot is who I went through!

Though I found it weird that I had to pay for the entire service prior to the movers coming ($ 1500 for a move from downtown Milwaukee to downtown Chicago), they said that they couldn’t run a business on not providing the service that you paid for, so I went with it. They actually were awesome.
They came at 8:30, and said they would be there between 8−9am, so that was perfect, and I sat and played Candy Crush while they took my many boxes, bags and furniture to the truck. I bought them lunch, because I was getting hungry watching them work, and they were super friendly and kind.
We got to Chicago around 2:30pm, and they had finished unloading me by 4:15. They even set up my dresser; it has a detachable mirror, and they re-​attached it, which I was really appreciative of, because I’m just a small girl with a limited amount of tools. They were big strong men, and re-​attached my mirror perfectly.
I had a large tv, a tv stand, 2 book cases, a coffee table, a large sectional couch, a queen bed, a huge dresser/​hutch, lamps and tons of boxes. They took care of everything, and though at first, I couldn’t find 2 of the pins for the book shelf, they let me in the truck, and then I found them.
A great, expeditious experience. Surprising, but a pleasant surprise.

I moved from a first floor apartment to a second story duplex, I hired them to move my large furniture, bed, couch, and a large dresser. They moved them quickly and with no problems and even did it on the low end of their price estimate. I’d definitely use them again.

Nope, never again. Our first time hiring movers (Two Men and a Truck) which came highly recommended. The crew that was assigned was extremely unprofessional. First, the two did not get along and were fighting during the whole process. Then, a crew member drove my brand new bicycle down the truck ramp and damaged it. After we pointed it out, we were harassed and begged us not to tell the boss.
Following the move, we called in a claim for $ 80 to repair the bicycle and the manager and all office workers never took my calls (total avoidance). My husband had to make an aggressive phone call in order to get a response. Awful service. We have another big move coming up and will be searching for a new crew.

They lost some items of mine and broke a couple of others. The only thing I care about is an heirloom item that was lost. I planned to use it in my wedding some day. I called almost 2 weeks ago nearly in tears asking about it. The manager was to call me back and after several days he left me a voicemail asking about the broken items. I called back, he wasn’t there so I left him a voicemail again stating I only cared about the heirloom and that I needed to know the status on them looking for it. So far, no response. Also, my move was double the quote. I don’t think it was the movers fault entirely, I think they need a better method of coming up with their quotes. For example, my building has no freight elevator and only 1 slow elevator at that; these are questions that should be asked and taken into account when quoting. Very disappointed.

Very difficult to work with them. The first time I called I was told someone would call me back with a quote, no one called. Second time I called I was placed on hold 7 times and it seemed like Jessica and Kelly had no idea what was going on. I would not recommend this company, customer service is very bad.

I have very heavy furniture that has been damaged by past moves and therefore certain parts do not come apart anymore (like my solid wood dresser and attached mirror). All in all, not an easy move which is why i had to hire pros. I had never hired a company so i was nervous, these guys did such a good job! Also i have a 50 in tv which is usually an extra charge. Was gonna move it alone but because i didn’t have the box (got moldy) they took pity and moved it at no charge. Cant say enough good things. Will be using this company for future moves.

I had a great experience with Two Men and a Truck on a recent move to Chicago. From the initial phone conversation I had with Sarah to the drop off at my new pad, things went as smooth as can be. The line of communication was always open, and they were prompt in responding to my questions. On to the move… Joe and Robert were awesome and friendly dudes as well! They arrived promptly at their scheduled time and were super efficient with their work, ensuring not to trash any of my belongings. Everything was set up well in the apartment, and the guys cleaned up and disposed of all the plastic, boxes and such.
Price wise, Two Men and a Truck was slightly more than a few other moving companies I called; however, they were highly recommended by a few friends. When it comes to your personal belonging, I feel you can’t nickel and dime and skimp on quality. Thus, I would highly recommend them!

Fast, friendly, careful, affordable, thorough, professional. Top to bottom, best and easiest moving experience I’ve ever had.

My tenants used this mover on the 2^nd or 3^rd week of July, 2012, and they did some serious damage to one door and to a door jamb on my 110 year old house. I was devastated. I notified my tenants and they contacted the owner of the company, John, and sent him several photographs that I had taken of the damage. John had to be contacted repeatedly before he responded. Finally, on OCTOBER 25TH, he agreed to meet me at the house to look at the damaged areas. I had made the repairs because by then I had new tenants move in, but you could still see where deep grooves had been carved into the door and the jamb, and no amount of sanding could fix it. John surveyed the areas and said he would contact my former tenants. He did, but he told them he was not responsible. This was outrageous to me as I had proof of the damage! I withheld a portion of the security deposit, but I hope my tenants took it upon themselves to collect something from this unscrupulous mover. He could have settled it for as little as $ 50 or a $ 100, but in choosing not to, he showed me just how unprofessional he is.

I used Two Men and a Truck for my recent move and can not really express my disappointment not only in the quality of the move but the manner in which the company took to resolve the situation. Every piece of my furniture was nicked or gauged, the «repairs» done were simply using a marker or spray paint to fix. All of my furniture is 1 year old, no nicks or gauges were present before the move. I hired professional movers so there would be no damage caused, this is not the case. The movers were young and inexperienced, they took no care in the manner they took moving my possessions. Along with my furniture being damaged, I own two bicycles with a total worth of over $ 4,000, that were both damaged in the move. I spoke to my local bike shop who told me they could not repair the damage to the bikes and suggested taking them to a auto body shop to have them repaired. Even the auto body shop said they could not properly repair the bikes, but gave Two Men and a Truck a quote of $ 250 to touch up the paint job. A touch up is not a repair. When I said I was unhappy with the resolution I was pretty much told that was too bad. I feel that I’m being bullied by Two Men and a Truck, they will not replace the bike that was mostly damaged or the dresser that has a 6 inch gauge taken out of it. Again on all of the furniture, spray paint does not constitute a repair, it’s simply a band-​aide. I also complained about the amount of time that it took these two movers to move a bed, dresser, two night stands, dining room table and couch, I was also told they would not refund any of the move amount. NEVER USE this mover!

COULD HAVE USED HALF A MAN AND A MINIVAN. After four interstate moves plus a few intrastate in the past few years all done by myself I hired this move out.
A one hour deposit is required before your move. I got a reminder call a few days before and on moving day the movers showed up right on time. The two gentlemen were polite and went about the business of moving my heavy ass belongings. They carefully wrapped my furniture in plastic and not a single ding or scratch for the entire job.
SAVE yourself some back breaking work and hire Two Men and A Truck at approximately $ 108/​hour to relieve some of the stress of moving.

This is an amazing company!!! I had not moved in years… And I was moving from Milwaukee to Chicago… Not knowing where to start I called Two Men and a truck. I spoke with Jill and she was AMAZING at explaining everything and how they go about pricing the move. Because I was going interstate it was a flat fee. Most movers «bundle» your load (move it on a truck with other peoples items, but not Two Men and a Truck. It is only your stuff on the truck, a professional moving crew (with you the whole move) and you get your stuff the same day for a Milwaukee to Chicago move. Jill explained everything g, not with a hard sell or to scare me, but to give me the facts so I was prepared. I was not sure what in was going to move and Jill was able to accommodate me as my items/​dates changed. Every time I called they were professional and polite. Then the day of the move my crew showed up… Adam and Pete… Amazing guys!!! They were polite and introduced themselves (shook our hands) and then walked us through the process. I never felt rushed and they explained that they were going to do inventory and tag all the items we were moving. Then they went through all the paperwork explaining what I was signing. They treated my items like they were their own. When we got to Chicago they were hustling to get the items moved in, but always cautious of floors, woodwork and their surroundings. They worked great as a team and had a positive attitude and great work ethic. Best of all they were kind people, never heard a complaint out of them. When one needed help from the other they communicated professionally, never snapping at each other. They checked their shoes before walking in and asked where we wanted everything. They were both dressed well, very neat and presentable. They were a true class act!!! Everyone in this company is there to help the customer! I was so impressed that I emailed a letter of praise the same day of the move.
If you need a mover (local or Interstate) give Two men and a truck a call. We used them for a in city Chicago move and then my move from Milwaukee to Chicago… Both my fiancée and I were thrilled with the service! Thanks to Jill for all her help and time to explain things … Along with Adam and Pete!!! You are a first Class company!!!

We have used Two Men and a Truck twice in the last month, once for a local move in Chicago and another time, just this past weekend on an interstate move from Milwaukee to Chicago. We could not be happier with the service we have received.
With the local Chicago move at the end of August, the movers were a little late for my afternoon move, but they came with a 3r guy and they busted their asses to get the the move completed withn teh quoted # of hours, they did a great job! The only thing I woudl do differnetly would be to book a morning appointment instead of an afternoon one as to avoid the crew running late from the morning job.
With the Milwaukee-​Chicago move this past weekend, the Milwaukee crew arrived within the promised window and the were very fast at getting everything loaded up and headed off to Chicago. There were professional and stayed on task. They arrive in Chicago about 2 hours after leaving Milwaukee and had the truck empited and its contents moved into the new placr within 1 ½ hours of arriving.
We would not hesitate to use them again, both quotes were accurite and there were no «hidden fees» that popped up the day of either move. Both crews were plesant, clean and efficent!

Two words: quick and professional
I was being moved out of a large 2^nd floor efficiency into a house from Milwaukee to Madison. I didn’t have a huuuge amount of stuff, but a lot of heavy things. Movers (Josh J and Michael) were on time, and they made sure to explain all the charges before they began the work. They were courteous, never complained, and only took an hour to pack the truck.
Nothing was damaged in the move, and they made sure to take care of my things and the dwellings that I was moving in and out of. After the move was over, they made sure that I was satisfied with everything and explained the final billing process.
No hidden charges, no careless, lazy movers, no bad attitude. I’d recommend them to any of my MKE friends.
