Given the current list of players in the Milwaukee Area grocery scene, Aldi fills a much needed space in our weekly shopping. They offer good quality products at everyday prices, no sales or coupons needed. We typically will buy many of our pantry items here including canned goods, baking supplies, lunch box fillers, cereal and snacks. In the past few years they have expanded their offerings to include organic and light products. Milk, yogurt, eggs, and cheese are a terrific value. The selection of frozen foods is nice, if you are looking for some quick meals. I will buy some produce items, and more rarely meat items from Aldi, but only if the quality looks good. I would say that the fresh items are their weakest offerings, but overall, this remains one of my favorite places to shop.

Grocery store in the Trader Joes family. They sell the same stuff here as TJ but it might have a different label and definitely a lower price. There are no frills or gimmicks here. You shell out a quarter for a shopping cart and get it back when you return the cart. The food is not removed from the shipping boxes. You must bring your own bags or boxes or you can use any empties you find around the store. They are adding more and more organic, gluten free and non GMO food choices weekly. I would have given 5 stars, but the produce isn’t the best. If you do not use it same day or next day, it is garbage/spoiled. Otherwise this is an awesome grocery store with healthy foods and great bargains. Cash or debit card only. But you won’t need a lot of cash.
