Texas Roadhouse

LOVE this place. Everytime we go everything is cooked perfect and taste delicious. They make all their dressings from scratch and the flavor really shows it. I wish they were closer to my house but we still make the 35 minute drive to go there. Only bad thing about this restaurant is that it is too popular. The wait times are LONG. They seem to always be busy and they are not open for lunch which is annoying. I hope the follow in outback steakhouses shoes and open for lunch soon.

Ok. So we called ahead to get on the list. It was 6:30 pm on a Sunday. When we got there they didn’t have us on the list. Whatever. They were busy but we had a table in a couple minutes. I’m sure they just gave us the next table.
So, there 5 of us in the party and they take us to a booth for 4. So they extended the table and gave me a chair. So I got to sit in the isle and be in everyone’s way all night. That was fun. Especially when half the waitstaff came to the next table to make fun of a guy on his birthday.
We put in our order. One of the group is a toddler, so the waitress says she will make sure hers comes out first. Then she comes back and tells us that they are out of ribs and did we want something else. Seriously? Your out of one of your signature dishes before 7:00 pm? Whatever. My friend changed to the 8 oz steak.
The waitress comes around a while later and asks if we want refills. Sure we all say. Ok, but we’re out of clean glasses so I’ll just take yours and refill it. Have they heard of the Health Department?
So then our food comes. Everyone EXCEPT the toddlers. My friend who had to change her order (and he toddlers mother) is not excited about her steak. It’s about the size of a chicken wing.
Then the toddlers meal comes out. Which was a 6 oz steak. Clearly bigger than her mothers. So she points that out to the waitress. Who just goes to get the manager. The manager proceeds to tell her sometimes they cook down more than others, but she’ll only charge her for the 6 oz. We were underwhelmed.
Another round of «gimme your glass» refills.
Then another child at the table across the isle gets sick. He’s throwing up at the table. He’s probably 10. His parents jump on it and are doing what they can. It doesn’t help that I’m basically sitting at the table with them. It gross. It’s everywhere. The waitress is just sort of standing there. So the parents get him cleaned up and they leave.
Then a bus boy comes over and clears the table and gives the bench seat a quick wipe. Then unbelievably they sat another party. I was so tempted to tell them what they just sat in.
As we are almost done, but fairly clearly all still eating the waitress comes by and asks how many to go boxes we need. Well, when we finish we’ll see if we need any.
Turns out we needed one. Oh — they were out. Zip lock Baggie it is.
Then we get the check. And sent it back so the manager could ACTUALLY change the charge for the steak that she said she would.
There were so many opportunities for them to once say we are sorry about the _​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​. But they never did.
So, I’m done.

This is one the favorites in the area! There is almost always a line out the door, for good reason. The atmosphere is busy, loud, and hustle and bustle at times but the staff knows how to handle it. Every time I’ve eaten here (Lost count) it has been really great. The food is delicious. TIP: Call ahead seating is your BEST FRIEND at this location. I’ve shown up with a parking lot full of people waiting over an hour to eat and walked right in to the table because of call ahead seating.

Pretty typical for roadhouse food. The staff was very hospitable. I would recommend the loaded baked potato. It is delicious and a great side. I enjoyed the country fried chicken and the appetizers were very filling, so be careful…

Ok, so I had a great meal this time and can’t change that fact. I ordered a 20oz ribeye, a side of there delicious sweet potato with mini marshmallows and brown sugar «to die for», and an appetizer of bloomed onions.
In the past I ordered from here and either the food or service lacked in quality and sometimes was both.
Not much to say after this except, I hope there service doesn’t deviate from the quality of today.

We were in ¹¹⁄₂₅. Only menus they had had font 5 – 6 points (see picture I posted). We were told the only larger menu was on a wall where there were kids hula hooping (see picture I posted). We waited over 30 minutes in the take-​out area just to place an order, but the take out person just continued to only take phone order (3 while we were in front of her) while three additional people were waiting behind us in line. And the last time I was there I had a BBQ sandwich which was burnt to a crisp (again a take-​out order),

MY Go to place for oven baked chicken and fresh veggies with chili. The portions are just enough. The flavor is good. Plus you get a show from the waitresses. A large cold mug of beer.

A little uneven, but acceptable by chain restaurant standards.
Pros: steaks properly grilled & seasoned. Good variety of sides. Loaded baked potatoes were truly «loaded».
Cons: ribs were extremely dry and lacked flavour. I purposely have sauce on the side so I can taste the meat, but neither the ribs nor the sauce were impressive.
A similar pronouncement on my green bean side dish. Supposedly everything is made in house, but the beans were so overcooked that they might as well be canned.
Reasonably priced, decent portions. Might be worthwhile if you’re really feeling carnivorous but don’t want to break your budget.

The hot rolls with cinnamon butter tasty! I Ordered Dallas Filet sautéed mushrooms baked potato Caesar salad. Husband had grilled salmon, rice salad. Both meals Yummy!
The kids dancing during dinner makes is fun upbeat!
So happy we walked out of Outback Steak! Won’t go back. The call ahead at outback Sucks!
The call ahead here worked we enjoyed our server Dani, she did a Great Job. Everything’s on time.

Due to the flooding and stormy weather, the family and I stayed close to home and we went to Texas Roadhouse. It was wonderful.
Both my daughter and mother had BBQ sandwiches, but my daughter was far more interested in my medium rare Prime Rib, which was excellent. My mother loved her pulled pork sandwich and Margarita, I had corn and mashed potatoes with cream gravy as sides and could barely eat them even though the kids and family were munching on my Prime Rib. My other daughter had a «Dallas Filet» Mignon, requested it medium rare, but came out medium. She still enjoyed it along with the seasoning. Both my father and husband loved their fried fish.
The roasted peanuts were great and so is the retro music. Next time, we will remember to order the chili while we’re talking. I highly recommend this restaurant and the Prime Rib and cold drinks.

5 stars baby! My wifes steak was cooked perfectly and so was my burger. The rolls though!!! Those coupled with the cinnamon butter is almost as good as sex! Yeah, that good!

Awesome choice in the area. We bring the kids here every other Friday. Excellent steak and great sides. Maritza is our favorite server. She is very attentive and remembers us from the first visit. Here is a tip do call ahead!

Steaks came out rare after ordering a medium rare filet and ribeye. After the waiter came back with our redone order, the filet was overdone… let’s call it «medium» at best. The steaks were simply thrown back on the grill, instead of making new ones as proper etiquette would suggest. Also, our baked potatoes were thrown in the microwave.
Sent the filet back a second time. This time they put a new steak on… and guess what? It came out rare again resembling a raw tuna sushi roll! We gave up at that point and just decided that we won’t be back.

Had dinner there last night with friends.
Super busy, we ate and drank at the bar.
Bar tenders work very well as s team .
Took care of us, no drinks went low ‚
Served our food, hauled off plates, all without asking .
I had the Roadkill, it is basically a hamburger patty. Great flavor, you could tell it was made from fresh ground beef and a frozen pre made patty. Salad and sides were spot on.

I have visited this restaurant on several occasions, and each time the dissappointments have continued.
My first visit, I wrote off as if «they were having a bad night». I thought I would give it a go again, wanted something casual and close. So we ventured out to Texas Roadhouse and again, what a huge mistake.
The food was not prepared as ordered. It was either overcooked, cold or just not as expected. My most recent experience was January 2015 and will be the last. Nothing had changed, no improvement from the previous visits. My server was rude and not friendly. Managment provided no assist either. Maybe if they put more emphasis on what service they are there to provide instead of line dancing, this place could have potential!

Texas Roadhouse has always been a family favorite in my household. There aren’t a ton of casual dining option in Wesley Chapel, so this is where we end up for special occasions more often than not. There is a nice patio outside that accomodates diners with canine companions or those who don’t feel like waiting for a table indoors. They also have a call ahead system to help beat the wait!
One of the best things about Texas Roadhouse is their warm rolls with honey cinnamon butter! Complimentary peanuts are left on every table as well. We frequently get free appetizer emails, so we typically go for the cheese fries. My usual order is the six ounce sirloin with a sweet potato and either corn or a cup of chili. The sweet potatoes are so large that I always take home at least half, if not the entire thing! The portion sizes are very generous for any option. If I’m feeling like eating something a little less healthy, I opt for the country fried chicken. It’s smothered in white gravy and takes up the entire plate! I’ve certainly never left hungry or without leftovers.
Another great thing about Texas Roadhouse is the fun atmosphere. The servers randomly break into line dances and country music plays while you enjoy your meal. Plus if you go on your birthday, you get to ride in a saddle while they sing to you! As far as chain restaurants go, it’s not a bad deal to get some entertainment with your dinner.

Everything from the floors to the tables and everything in between are dirty and sticky. Food is gross.
Yuck yuck and yuck. Will NOT be back.

I miss living so close this joint during my college years! When I don’t fill up their delicious bread with cinnamon butter, I like to get the sirloin steak with a loaded baked potato. Nice and simple, done right!
Love that the staff line dances every now and then, and for birthdays the make you sit on a saddle and make a fool out of yourself! So funny :)

Alright so this place stuffed me fuller than a Thanks Giving Day turkey. Thumbs up for sure on the grub. On the otherhand, drinksare a bit sweet and water down. I suggest you stick with a good olé beer. The opening bread basket is epic. Plus I cannot get over the paired butter. I think I need to take a nap now. Slipping into a meat coma…

You can not go wrong here no matter what item you pick off the menu!
Every time I go I like to try something different and I am never disappointed!
The atmosphere is fun and laid back, there is peanut shells all over the ground and a bucket of peanuts on each table.
The steak and shrimp combo is amazing. I was presently surprised at how great the steak was. It was cooked to perfection and was so tender.
Once you try this place you will be hooked!!!
