Great bakery. The cakes are very fresh and delicious. Beautiful selection of baked goods. Very friendly service.

Ok cheese scones, but the bread is nothing special. Very little selection. Was there on a previous occasion & felt that the quality & size of the loaf didn’t justify the price.

They have decent scones. I love the cheesy one! They also have good poptarts. I loved the strawberry one. This place really disappointed me! I have been on multiple occasions for the red velvet cake. The first time I had it, the cake was so delicious! So, I naturally went back a second time. It was like red velvet cornbread with frosting. And while I was there, the girl told me someone had complained a cake was salty. They gave me another slice for free. It was okay, but I didn’t go back for a while. I went again tonight and my cake was dry! That is probably my last time buying their cake. Maybe it was just stale. Who knows? I would love to support a local small business, but they will have to improve their cakes! Maybe the gelato, bread, and cookies are good.

Small bakery in Wesley Chapel. There is seating outside but no room to eat inside. The cakes are OK, not the best and not the worst. It’s decent for Tampa area but no comparison to a true Artisan bakery. I don’t like eating cakes that are cold and there was no way to heat it(a bakery should have a small oven in case a customer wants to heat the products. Didn’t care for the gelato. However, I like to support local business and the chocolate croissants were beautiful. I think I’ll try them again for a sweet breakfast. On the other hand, my friend LOVED her pean pie slice(so I gave an extra star).

I love supporting small businesses, but when I was there, it was obvious the business just started up. Simple things a business owner should already have prepared(ie., labeling of each item, having a menu on the back wall, educating the staff on hand —girl had no clue what was in the pastry) were not completed before opening. I would love to come back to see how it’s doing, but for now, the business seems incomplete.

Was disappointed with all the products I purchased Brioche was only a small white bread– not the creamy version I was expecting Bought a slice of the carrot cake which was one layer of dense, stale tasteless cake — the frosting was decent The hummingbird cake described by the lady behind the counter sounded good not too bad it was three thin hard and tasteless layers with again a decent frosting The snicker doodle cookies were hard grainy tasteless. Slices were $ 3-$ 4 each Cookies were $ 3 per ½ doz. All the baked goods were purchased and taken home so I did not get to tell the staff how disappointing they all were This shop sells homemade gelato that Was not available because they were waiting to have the machine repaired– may be worth stopping in for in the future

We were just scoping out places to find a bakery… we will be back! Since we were trying to find a place for future needs, we ordered quite a few things: Croissants, Muffins, Cakes… The croissants reminded me of my trip to France earlier this year! The muffins were«OK»…a little dry. The cakes were all great! We had a slice of Italian Cream, Vanilla & Butter Cream, German Chocolate & another I can’t remember. We will return and plan on placing a full cake order in the future!

I really really want to support and promote small businesses in and around Tampa especially the Wesley Chapel area, but unfortunately Stonemill Artisan Bakery did not meet my expectations and fell short today. Was it an off day? Not sure. My daughter and I arrived at the strip mall located on the corner of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Wesley Chapel Boulevard(there is a Beall’s Outlet Store, Pediatric Healthcare Alliance, Subway located within the same plaza). The staff person that greeted us was so friendly. I am giving Stonemill three stars because of the eagerness and professionalism of their employee. There are several glass display cases with cakes, cookies, scones, croissants and other pastries that looked absolutely delicious. They also offer homemade gelato, however they currently did not have any in the display case. Hot teas and coffee are available too. My daughter chose a piece of the Red Velvet Cake and I selected a slice of the Italian Cream Coconut Cake. We also opted for a loaf of their Artisan Italian Bread(a hefty $ 6.00). Do not mind paying that much for a loaf of bread if it tastes good. There is no seating available within the bakery but they do have outdoor seating available in front. We decided to eat our goodies later but wish we had eaten them on the premises so I could have returned them. Both slices of cake were extremely dry, dense, lacked any flavor and were stale. Thinking it might be one side of the dessert that was exposed to the elements for too long we attempted to eat another side of the slice of cake. That was even worse. So very disappointed. Really was craving a delicious piece of homemade cake. The loaf of Italian bread was also just not good. It lacked flavor — had I been blind folded and tasted a piece — I would have thought it was a slice of store brand white bread. Three different items and all of them struck out. Again, maybe an off day because it is the weekend, but for three items totaling almost $ 20.00 — that is not going to work for me.

Nice place for a pastry and coffee. Really tasty pastries and the best cheese scones that i have ever eaten, i usually buy 4 at a time. The cakes are great too, I really like the German chocolate cake, fresh and moist. Go there and try it. I stop by as often as I can. The gelato is great too!

Honestly I was very excited to find out a bakery opened in Wesley chapel, and I really wish I could have liked this bakery. My family and I always do custom cakes for our birthdays. This year for my mother’s birthday I decided to try out Stone mill Artisan Bakery. This turned out to be a mistake. Sadly, I never even got to the point of a finished cake. I found out this business is pretty unorganized. I went in order to first discuss a cake and was happy to hear that they could do it. I scheduled an appointment to come a few days later so we could go over things like price and the final details. The day of the appointment came and the weather was awful. It was like a typhoon outside, but keeping to my appointment. Straight after work I drove down to the bakery.(In the pouring rain and flooded streets) Only to find out when I get there that the owner didn’t even come in that day. Which wasn’t even the most frustrating part. The employee out front didn’t even seem to care that i came all the way down there just to find out no one could help me that day. Now I under stand that things happen a sick kid, car trouble, ect however having all my contact information a call should have been made. A little heads up would have been more then enough, a call, an email, or even a text. At that point it was either use this bakery or just buy a cake from publix. I chose that latter. Mostly because I was afraid that if I still gave this bakery my business they wouldn’t finish my cake on time or something would happen and they would be closed for the day I needed it. Now, this wasn’t just a one time problem. A some months prior to my mother’s birthday day, I tried to get a consultation for my little brothers birthday. Going in I was informed that the owner wasn’t there that day, but that they could write down my needs and information to give it to him the next day. Well a few days pass and I didn’t hear anything from the bakery. Luckily I decided to take my business elsewhere in time, and got my cake through another bakery. Almost a month later I get a phone call from the bakery, a month later, saying that he fired the girl who took the message and never received it. Which honestly just seemed like an excuse to me. Now to their case desserts. Their bakery is decently priced and their desserts are okay, some being pretty good. The gelato that they have is okay. Its too bad their management is unorganized and not customer oriented. Now I’m not one to go out and post a bad review, but I feel that being there are not many reviews on this bakery, with it being so new, I felt that someone going in should know my bad experience.

Love this small business that just opened up right in my neighborhood. We’ll definitely be back. The employees are friendly and helpful, and the treats… oh my. They make everything right there, including many flavors of gelato, custom cakes, croissants, cookies, breads, etc. So much to choose from in this tiny little storefront! The prices are reasonable, and you can eat at the few tables out front or take your goodies to go. It looks like they do some catering, and custom work, so I’ll keep them in mind if I have future needs. This is what small business is about. :)

Very impressed with this new bakery. Will return and will refer friends and family. The gelato is made in house and is excellent. Not to mention the freshly baked crossaints. The owner is very friendly and willing to accommodate special orders.

Went there on 7−19−14 with my girlfriend around 8 at night and the people were super friendly after working all day. I thought that they had ice cream when actually it was Gelato, which I’ve never had, they let me try a sample and I loved it. So I bought a small cup. My girlfriend tried it and did not like it. When they found out my girlfriend didn’t like it the Chef/Owner apologized and gave her a free cookie, which we offered to pay for but he insisted no. My girlfriend will tell you that it was one of the best cookies she has ever had. We also got muffins to eat for breakfast which by the looks of them will be amazing. They also had fresh breads that they make daily in house. When we got to checkout they had a iPad running the whole business. They are very friendly and extremely nice. I recommend coming here if you ever need any bakery item. Thank you guys very much!
