Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

My first massage here was pretty good.
Went to schedule my second massage a few months later, called in and spoke to a receptionist. Told her I was pregnant and wanted to relax and asked for any same day openings. She booked me ASAP and when I got there I was taken back and then had to walk back out because she did not schedule me with a prenatal massage specialist. The receptionist then told me to rebook once I was in my 2^nd trimester.
I came in at 16 weeks pregnant and made an appointment with a prenatal specialist for the next day. Got the paperwork filled out and walked out thinking I had a massage appointment the next morning… then I get a voicemail on my phone that the person she booked me with isn’t actually licensed to do prenatal massages. She told me the earliest I could get an appointment was later that week.
I don’t really think I will make the appointment for this prenatal massage… honestly this place can’t keep their stuff together and it is so unprofessional. Really disappointed with my experience, and I really regret spending money on Black Friday for buy one get one free gift cards. This may sound like a good deal, but my experiences with local companies on groupon have been way better than this place.
I will use my second gift card at the Dale Mabry location, then I will NEVER return. I cannot emphasize enough how unprofessional this is and how very disappointed I am. Massages are supposed to be relaxing, this place just stresses me out even more!!!

My current massage therapist got mad at me for not complaining about my massage from this place especially since I was «treating» myself, but this was the worst experience ever. And I get massages at least two to three times a month. The guy had sand paper hands and I knew from the moment I shook his hands it was going to be bad. Not sure how he passed as a therapist but definitely not good busines. I don’t want anyone to get fired but I don’t want anyone else to waste their time or money.

This is by far the worst spa I have been to. The massage therapist was criticizing and rude. The last thing you want is for your massage therapist to tell you that you complain to much. Also for them to talk the entire time during your massage is not at all professional. Also what therapist counts down every minute from 5 minutes to one til your massage is over. Only being that this massage was only 45 minutes long. Also the room is not scented and plain. Yes the lobby is nice and welcoming but if your expecting an accommodating spa, this is not it. Don’t waste your money on a couples massage here.

I love Hand & Stone! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They really take care of you throughout the whole experience. I highly recommend getting a massage with Jarod, he’s great at relieving any aches and pains!

As the mom of 3 kids with special needs I have always put my family first. Over the last year I’ve realized the importance of self-​care in being able to be the best mom possible. I signed up for the monthly membership at Hand & Stone to make sure that I take time for myself every month. It has been worth every penny and then some!
The overall atmosphere of Hand & Stone is calming as soon as you walk in the door. The staff has always been courteous and helpful. And the services — AMAZING! Usually I go for the hot stone massage because after that first hot stone massage I knew there was no going back to just a plain old massage! Kevin is a really great massage therapist. He always asks if there have been any changes or there are any areas that need to be targeted.

I purchased a living social deal for a massage and facial.
I have never had a facial before so I was nervous but Dianna was AWESOME! She took the time to listen to my concerns and picked the perfect regimen for me. She was very nice and definitely knows what she’s doing.
I had my one-​hour massage with Mike M. and he was fantastic. He was really nice, it was a really comfortable experience and he is very good at his job! He targeted all my concern and painful areas and I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated!
They do offer memberships but they aren’t pushy at all. The girl at the front desk was so nice and explained all the membership options.

Amazing spa experience from start to finish. The front desk staff is attentive and so kind. I have seen several therapists and there is such a dynamic variety. I recommend the hot stone massage with peppermint aromatherapy!

Great experience! Friendly staff! Nice décor… music not a fan of, Enya would be nice. Kevin is the best fit deep tissue from my experience there.

This is such a great spa! From the friendliest receptionists to the knowledgeable therapists you will love your experience here. This spa doesn’t have a stuffy atmosphere, they all take their time — from checking in to discussing your session — they all make you feel comfortable. If you have any questions about the treatments or services, Heather is your go to gal! I’ve enjoyed my sessions with Kevin and Jared. The hot stone massages our my personal fav but the peppermint scalp massage is AHmazing! I am very pleased with this membership and look forward to my monthly services!
