It’s great that there is finally a large sporting goods store in the Wesley Chapel area. We’ve had a few smaller stores pop up here and there, but it wasn’t until Dick’s came to the neighborhood that we had something permanent.
Dick’s is a good place to find workout clothing, sporting goods, sneakers, and a limited selection of hunting and fishing gear. The staff can be a little spotty; you often have to search to find someone to assist you. Other than that, I can’t complain. There aren’t usually any amazing deals, but the clearance sections are pretty big at times. I always come here for most of my running clothes and to find gifts for the men in my life.

Dick’s is a great sporting goods store. They have a little bit of everything. Even Lacrosse stuff. Do people actually play Lacrosse in the Tampa Bay area? Apparently so.
I usually come here for their outdoors gear. There’s a decent hiking/backpacking selection. They also carry firearms but only rifles. No handguns. Kinda stinks, but we’re in the South, handguns can be found elsewhere. I think there’s a law that states a gun dealer/pawn shop that sells guns must be within a 1 mile radius of everything…
For a while now, I’ve been shopping around for a bow for my son. They had some bows. Mostly for small kids. Very limited for bigger people. Still looking.
The staff is helpful and friendly.
Unless you’re looking for something that is very specialized, Dick’s should be able to accommodate your sporting goods needs.

I was on my way back from a road trip to Ocala, and decided to stop here to look at cross training shoes. I walked into the shoe area and this lady greeted me in a friendly manner. I told her what I was looking for. The first thing she did was check my foot and the sole of my flip flop! For the first time in my life, I was told that I overpronated! She then proceeded to pick a shoe that might be right for me. She selected a moderately priced ASICS. I walked around the track they have circling the shoe dept. (Makes total sense doesn’t it?) It fit well and was very comfy.
She could have sold me the Maserati of shoes, but she didn’t. She gave me the best for me! Her name was Valerie. I told the Manager about her and that, because of her, Dick’s will be my first stop for my sports needs.
